Those who have lost weight, are you getting your rings resized?
Three years ago, when I was gaining a lot of weight (thanks, menopause!), I got my wedding band and engagement rings resized.
I'm new to Wegovy and hoping to lose 30 pounds, so I'm thinking my rings will be too large. Are you getting your rings resized? I'm not sure what to do.
My first day wearing hearing aids
So far I love how many more sounds I'm hearing- the birds singing, the radio that sits across the office, my coworkers talking to me without it sounding mumbled.
The only negative I'm experiencing is that my ears aren't used to something being inside it, so my inner ear itches...a lot! I have to fight the urge to take the HA out and scratch it with a a-tip or something. Having an itch I cannot scratch is maddening.
Is this normal, and if so how long did it take you to adjust?
What do you eat when you're not hungry?
0.25 injection, week two.
I find myself not hungry, but I know I need to eat. Nothing even sounds good. I'm not nauseous, I'm just not hungry. I've been drinking protein shakes.
What do y'all eat when nothing sounds appetizing?
5 days in & food noise already subsiding
Started 0.25 injection Sunday night. I don't know if it's in my head but there's definitely been a lack of food noise. Nighttime is normally my downfall and I used to find myself mindlessly snacking. I haven't snacked once. I've been eating more protein and drinking Metamucil, so maybe it's filling me up? It seems too early for Wegovy to take effect.
Next daily trainer/upcoming rotation recommendations?
TLDR: 1) Best affordable easy/LR shoe 2) Recommendations for Marathon training shoe rotation
F; 4’10”, 105 lbs
Current Mileage: 25 mpw/avg
goal mileage for fall marathon: 45-50 mpw avg
Easy pace: 10:30-11:00 m/mile
Tempo pace: 7:45-8:15 m/mile
I’ve been using the Novablast 5 as a daily trainer, and I was really liking it until around 300 miles when my knees felt beat up after around 8-9 miles. Additionally, the base of my foot has had a dull pain that I’ve never experienced before in another shoe, so I probably won’t be getting another pair. My last favorite shoe was the Brooks Glyercin 21, and I haven’t tried the Glycerin 22 or 23 before because I’ve heard they changed the shoe beyond recognition in the 22 and the 23 is pretty pricy right now. I was sized at fleet feet about two years ago, and from what I know, I don’t have pronation or stability issues. I am looking for something moderately affordable to get me through the summer and into a fall marathon training block (my first) because I will probably run the shoe through its mileage before peak training. Branching off of that, I am seeking a 2-3 shoe rotation for the marathon: An uptempo shoe for marathon workouts, a long run shoe, and an easy run shoe (unless it’s covered by one of the other shoes). I want to run a fast race so I definitely am willing to invest in the fall for shoes that can help me achieve that.
Ps. I would go to a store and try on shoes but I wear a very small/never in stock size and it’s genuinely too frustrating to try on shoes 2 sizes too big and determine if they’d work for me- avoiding if possible!
24 hours after my first injection and no symptoms
It's been almost 24 hours since I did my first injection (0.25 mg). I was preparing for nausea, but I feel fine. Is it too soon to experience symptoms?
Doctor prescribed 0.25 injection to start. I was thinking of starting tonight (Friday) but this weekend we're driving 3 hours away to move my daughter home from college. I'm wondering if I'll be nauseated in the car, or while we're packing up her things. We get back Sunday, and then Monday morning I go to work.
Any suggestions on what day I should begin my first injection?
Thanks to Rick and 90 Day Fiance, I will never think of splash pads the same way.
And who brings a USED splash pad on a trip to meet your potential future spouse? Yuck
Woke up with this! Caused by Ponds cold cream?
I'm so confused. I never have acne, ever (54 year old). Woke up this morning to raised skin on my chin and my neck. Not sure how to describe it except as "thick" and almost scaly. It itches. The only thing I did different last night was using Ponds cold cream on my entire face (normally I just use it around my eyes to remove mascara). Could the rash be the result of Ponds? Does this look like PD? Any suggestions? My dermatologist is booked out for months.
Just microwave in the bag for 90 seconds. It tastes like the rice at Chipotle. I served it with grilled chicken, roasted peppers & onions, corn salsa, pepper jack cheese, lettuce and sour cream.
I think I'm nervous because I don't know what to expect. For those of you who were tested at Costco:
- How long was the appointment?
- If HAs were recommended, how long did it take to receive them? Do they order them or keep them in stock?
Update: I had my appointment and it went great! Very impressed with how thorough it was. I ordered the Jabra Enhance Pro 30 and get them in 2 weeks.
I have a hearing test scheduled at Costco on Sunday. Last night I took to AirPods hearing test. I'm wondering how accurate it is. I know the Costco test will be more involved. I'm worried they'll say I don't need hearing aids, but I definitely have hearing issues and every day I'm asking people to repeat things.
I'm looking into GLP-1, but the various companies have me ready to scream. For reference, I have insurance through my husband's employer but of course they won't cover the meds for weight loss.
I've looked at Ro, Hers, Amazon, Good Rx and their pricing is so confusing. Some will state $39 membership for the first month but then it increases to $149 a month after. And they want you to give them your credit card info before they fully disclose the medication pricing, which to me is crazy. They'll advertising Zepbound "starting at $299"....how on earth am I going to navigate all of this? It seems like the first month is doable but then the price jumps up.
I am 5'4 and my BMI is 28.7 which is just under the 30 obesity requirement. I'm going through menopause and have gained 40 pounds in the last two years. I work out and track what I eat but the scale doesn't budge.
If I get a prescription from my doctor, I question why I should pay $149 monthly membership bc I can just contact my doctor if I have questions, rather than a bot at Ro.
If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
