I forgot to attempt the English Proficiency test (SDE101) and am now unable to register for the upcoming GR02 intake, as I missed today's registration deadline.
I enrolled in the part time programme this semester and wasn't aware that I needed to take an English Proficiency module. I've just noticed that I missed my first attempt. When I checked the registration for the next intake (CR02), I found that today's 9pm deadline has already passed.
I have two questions:
Since I missed the first attempt, will I need to pay to retake the module?
Is there any way to appeal or request late enrollment into CR02 despite missing the registration deadline? If not, would it be possible to take the module in a later intake instead?
I'd appreciate your advice on the best way forward.
Why is Uber and Vistra Corp being hyped up so much?
Uber is currently growing 18% YOY at 15 p/e but what exactly is the moat of the company? Isn't it just an app for booking "taxi"? What is stopping another company from entering the market and creating another cheaper affordable app where users can compare prices before booking?
Donald Trump and pelosi brought VST at a higher valuation but what is the catch for this? Is energy being the next bottleneck for AI going to accelerate this company?
What's ur though on these 2 companies?

GRAB CEO Anthony Tan buys 10,350,000 shares of Grab at $2.89/share.
Anthony has been a net seller on the open market since the company went public. This is first open market purchase.
Obviously, for him to buy $30M of stock while his net worth is around $300-400M shows how significant of a purchase this is and how much he thinks the market has lost their minds on this name.
We are now looking at a public valuation LOWER than what Grab was worth in the private markets. Their enterprise value is $7B and they will profitably do $4.2B of revenue this year.
Really nice to see an insider buy it has been a tough hold but the broader thesis, in my opinion, is being executed in a VERY strong way with a horrible macro backdrop .
For a CEO who has been criticized for many insider sells (many of which were pre-planned and also deserved given the guy founded the company and wasn’t liquid for a decade) it is nice to see him put almost 10% of his net worth into the company he started 15 years ago via purchases on the open market.
Grab Holdings President & COO Alexander Charles Hungate also bought $867K of $GRAB with 299,571 shares at a $2.89 avg.
Which stocks do you think are mispriced despite strong fundamentals?
I've been accumulating APP and CRDO. Both are well below their all time highs even though they keep growing year over year. I think the market is pricing in more fear than the fundamentals justify, and that current valuations don't reflect their growth rates.
I'm also researching Uber and Brookfield as potential additions.
What are you buying right now that you think the market is undervaluing despite solid financials? I'd like to hear your thesis, and any risks I may be overlooking on the names above.
Looking for small cap stocks with realistic 10x potential over a 5-year horizon
I'm planning to allocate $30K into 2-3 small-cap positions (roughly $10K each) that I'd buy and hold with minimal intervention for the next 5 years essentially a long-term, hands-off experiment.
Rather than just asking for tickers, I'd love to hear your reasoning: What criteria do you use to identify small-caps with genuine 10x potential (revenue growth trajectory, TAM expansion, moat, insider ownership, catalysts, etc.)?
If you have specific names in mind, I'm especially interested in why you think they could get there sector tailwinds, competitive positioning, balance sheet strength, or anything else that supports the thesis.
Also open to hearing counterarguments or risks I should be weighing before committing capital this way.
Why is Regular so overpaid compared to NSF? Does their work output matches their pay scale?
A typical sign on officer gets around average 5k not including aws bonuses and incentives. While the average nsf salary is 1k without cpf no bonus no incentive (some allowance depending on ur vocation).
That's around 1:5 ratio, however does the regular work output really equate to 5 nsf workload?
I seen enough in ns where regulars just come in late and leave early not giving a fk about their duty pushing all the workload to NSF just because they are "regular".
What's the best way to hedge against AI/tech risk right now?
I've been digging into valuations across sectors and noticed something that seems off. A lot of "safe" non tech names consumer defensive stocks, wholesalers like Walmart and Costco are trading at higher multiples than companies like Meta, even though they're only putting up single-digit revenue growth.
That got me thinking: if the goal is to hedge against AI/tech disruption, are these the right places to hide out, or are people just paying a premium for the feeling of safety?
Curious how others are thinking about this are there better ways to diversify away from tech exposure without overpaying for low growth "defensive" names?
