Another day, another explosion: Galaxy S26 exploded in a man's pocket in India, seriously injuring the owner

According to the information, Majid was returning to his village, Dankaur, after visiting Ghaziabad when he noticed the phone becoming unusually hot. He said the device then started producing smoke. Before he could remove it from his pocket, it reportedly exploded suddenly.

The explosion caused severe burns to both of Majid’s hands and the lower part of his body. People nearby rushed to help him and took him to a nearby hospital. He is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

Majid said he had purchased the Samsung phone around a month before the incident. He reportedly bought it from DG Com at The Grand Venice Mall in Greater Noida. According to him, the phone had been working normally before the accident.

How do you now explain this Samsung? Is it also because the owner dropped it on the ground? 🤣

Allegedly, Galaxy S25+ randomly caught fire at night in China, and Samsung's refusing to do anything about it

The owner reported the incident to Samsung on August 1. Since the phone was in China, Samsung first planned to have a Chinese service center contact his wife. Later, the damaged phone was brought to Korea through an acquaintance.

After that, the phone was given to Samsung’s Nowon Service Center for inspection. Samsung initially said that finding the cause could take around three weeks. On August 12, Samsung explained the result of its investigation. According to the company, the phone had been dropped, which damaged the battery.

Samsung said the battery developed a hole and later caught fire when the phone was being charged. The company therefore decided that the incident was caused by customer negligence. So, the company said it would not provide compensation for the damage.

Should I trust mock tests?

I've been getting IELTS Band 8.0 from mock multiple times (I guess I got 8.0 four times already), but recently I heard people saying mock tests make reading passages and listening questions concerningly easy or unnecessarily difficult sometimes and that they are sometimes even biased when it comes down to checking the essays (because once I couldn't even finish my Task 1, but I still got 7.5 from Writing). And I can say I'm convinced so because sometimes I'm getting 9.0 from Reading, while I sometimes get 7.5 or 8.0. The same thing is happening with my listening. My speaking, however, is around 8.0-8.5 (I got 8.0 twice and also 8.5 twice).

What do you think on that? Should I trust the mock tests? On the other hand, my teacher has always told me to take mock tests four or five times to make sure my level is indeed where I think it is, and I did. What score would you think I would get overall during a real IELTS exam, 8.0 or 8.5? I was hoping to achieve 8.5 because I really wanna see myself inside a C2 bracket.
