Why is 4chan so retarded nowadays

I went through /sci/, /his/, /lit/, and /biz/ -- and I swear you used to see people who were actually somewhat intelligent there. but now they're gone; its just morons. what the hell happened? where did they all go (the implication is that I am intelligent)
