Found today in a CWR. Nothing special about anything else in the roll. The only reason I even looked at it close is because it is so good looking. The details are crisp and the die doesn't show much sign of wear. Usually under the chin and at the bottom of the bust will have high wear marks.

It has a slight wallet fold and missing a slight amount of ink on the bust shoulder but still pretty crispy for a 2017A.

Nothing special, just an amazing tone on an ordinary quarter.

Now I’m not a doctor so I never learned to count coins in metric, but I’m sure someone will be along soon to let me know how priceless this coin really is. My good friend the laundry machine mechanic just came in to see me and drop off this treasure.

It’s actually only about half baked, I think I might could get some more heat damage on the surface so I might make a documentary surrounding the DryerCoin making process utilizing a non-conventional gas cooking grill method. I’m sure to be the next YouTube sensation.

Just to give it some context I put my new error quarter next to an error dime I had just laying around. I wanted to show it’s true size and majesty.

The coinstar I use is in my bank. The bank also has a guard, who sits right next to the coinstar. There is nothing else in the lobby, and he chose to sit right next to it. We all know why.

We’ve even talked about it. He’s even found a gold coin in the inside dump box. He says he has amassed a large collection of silver and a bunch of other things. So, basically I never find anything as he checks after every customer.

Well, not today! When I got there, a woman was using the machine and she damn near filled up the reject tray. As soon as she was done I scrambled up to the machine and got the dirty side eye. He knew.

Four wheats. 20, 21, 36 and a 42-S. The 1980 quarter looks pretty clean as well along with a Swiss 20 cent piece. Some other change, but those are the high lights.

The heat wave has finally broken in my neck of the woods, I hope everyone is staying cool.

Found today in a roll of quarters. It’s not even close to being the size or weight. I guess this was a suitable sub for a W that wasn’t there.

I’m not a doctor but I do like to have a good time.

Every roll has been like this or worse. One beat up 47 so far. And they stink. Probably from a toilet tank or car trunk.

You win some, get pooped on others.

I’m not a doctor but sometimes I can pull a miracle out of a coin roll. Once again my favorite teller handed me a sweet find. 2020-P 25c VT VDDR-001, seven of them in the same roll. Pretty sure someone collected these.

I’m not sure how many of these exist but I’m pretty sure this little hoard will bring the price right down.

One of the realities of coin hunting is this: sometimes no matter clear the error, no one cares about it. I really don’t see a massive want or need for these, so it’s likely they will never sell unless it’s ridiculously inexpensive. Probably why they were ditched in the first place.

I bought this as an early Xmas present for myself last year just before spot went crazy. I love the detailed design and it has incredible relief so you can feel every bump of its texture. It’s heavier than a silver Ike dollar or Morgan, so it’s got massive hand weight. To me it’s not a piece that’s to be slabbed or put away so that no one can hold it. It was meant to be held.

I’ve decided to manually tone it. So it will join my other desk silver for the long journey into the abyss. The abyss being my boring life.

I’ll let others grade it, but I’m going with F15 or so. Not the most beautiful bill to ever be had, but it’s mine now.

This one landed in my hands today from a dear customer of mine who coincidentally is a laundry machine repair mechanic. He stopped by today to catch up and to give me this.

I haven’t had much time to myself lately, I got married on August 6th. So the honeymoon is almost over. Wait…is the honeymoon period 2 weeks or????

I don’t even know anymore but the point is things are starting to settle in again. I’ve finally made arrangements to start getting a weekly pickup again after several months. I’m willing waiting and eager to share my PMD finds with my fellow crapmismatic experts. I think I just invented the term crapmismatics just now.
