Hi. First off, I don’t know a lot about bikes like nomenclature although I’ve tinkered a lot. Circa 1995 I got a slightly used Cannondale. The paint job was dark iridescent green but was messed up so I had it repainted black. Used it on and off for decades and finally tire was dry rotting and it was put in storage.

Now I’m bent on doing something with it because I want to start riding again and it deserves it. I’ve always loved the feel of it it’s very light but strong. I started trying to find out what model it is, which led to a rabbit hole involving two different AI guides and insane back and forth.

FINALLY, it appears that I have a 1990 SM700 frame with 1993-4 fork and components. Should I just work on getting it running and keep it simple or is it worth a proper restoration (or not) to sell?

Long watch but if you’re seeking knowledge this guy will teach and show you.
Nutshell: because of the inherent and deliberate limitations of a phone microphone and speaker (they focus on closest tones and pitches and get jumbled with multiple background sounds, it’s impossible to definitively say what the background words were. But more: he goes though each one several times SHOWING how you can’t hear it even with some tweaking. He also explains how you can’t alter the audio too much without ruining the credibility of the audio.

Interesting observations about what was actually happening in the phone conversation.

Objectively his tone (and hers really) is respectful and helpful. A shame things have turned into what they are.

I’m not sure why but I got one of those propane torches and have been using it for adding to the grilling process adding a sear to the topside and even underneath. Just about 5 seconds 1-2 times.

Any input or similar usage? Seems to work great so far, steaks, burgers, bulgogi, gyros, etc.
