How’s my anatomy and clothing?

How’s my anatomy and clothing?

I’m not super used to drawing fat (not that this character is considered fat at all) especially in a stretching pose. It took me a while to figure out how the breast would be affected. I’m also not sure about the wrinkles on her shorts

Picture day outfit as an incoming senior :P

any general advice for making friends? According to some of my friends I tend to look intimidating or mean?? I wanna look more outgoing and approachable. I act introverted but I really love talking to people and meeting people

What should I wear for my first day as a freshman??

Before you say anything I don’t give a gaf about bullies 🫩 I heard you should save your best outfit for a few days after the first, so I need adviceee

Is this look feasible?

Also, how expensive would this be in a salon? I live in a small town in the Midwest, so not a big expensive place.

What color should I dye it?

I’ve done red on my bangs before and it was alright but it didn’t show up very well. I don’t mind bleach as I’ve never bleached it before so it probably wouldn’t damage. I’d also like suggestions for styles to dye it! Streaks, stripes, tips, etc.

I also included a picture of my complexion, if that helps. I love warm colors but I don’t know if they look good on me

A necklace I made with MY OWN TWO HANDS

I know this subreddit is mostly fancy professional metal stuff but hey, art is for everyone, so I ask the art enjoyers: do you enjoy my art :)

I feel like I’m not seen as a real musician by my friends

I’m in high school. This year will be my last school variety show and every single year I want to sing a song, but in the past, I always got too scared and backed out. I regret that so much. I want to sing for an audience so bad. It's still the summertime, so I was talking with my friend about it when one of my other friends brought it up (talking about how she wanted to do a solo song). I obviously encouraged her, but everyone seems to have way more faith in her and actually wants her to get in. They even offered to do the instrumentals for her. (No one responded to me after I said what I wanted to do and asked if someone would do it with me) It really hurts because I know they just see me as a visual artist, and all of them overlook the fact that I play multiple instruments, I record my own songs and I love singing so much. What do I do now? Still audition without their support, do it alone or still try to duet with someone, do I just give up??

What do we think of my 10g betta tank redo?

First picture: before redo (I feel so bad for my old betta, I didn’t do very much research)

Second picture: during (good lord)

Third + fourth pictures: after

This is my first time trying an all-natural tank! Right now, I have java fern, anubius nana, a moss ball, an almond leaf for the water, and a super tall grass plant that I forgot the name of. I’m super excited to get a new betta! I’m really gunning for a girl, I’d like to name her Maisie. What name should I choose if I end up getting a boy?

Renaming my OC, celestial names needed

I’m changing my character’s name from Akumu, which I came up with when I was, like, 10. It’s too edgy and doesn’t have a great ring to it. I was also really into Japanese names for some reason and I definitely need a little more diversity, so it doesn’t have to be Japanese, but I wouldn’t mind. Her caretakers name means dream, so I think it’d be really cute if I changed the name to something that means “moon” or “star”. I’m not a big fan of Stella (too cutesy) and my friend’s character is already named Luna, so I need to get a little creative.

Randomly getting dizzy/lightheaded

I (15F) have been getting suddenly dizzy and lightheaded at random times. My heart rushes when I sit on the floor or crouch, and no matter how active I am (about 60 mins of exercise every night) or how I eat, I seem to get exhausted and out of breath from just standing up. I’ve been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder which has always affected my body physically (typical symptoms) but I don’t take any drugs for it. This has been going on for about 8 months. I’m scared to tell my parents

How can I make my Finn the Human cosplay more exciting?

I really want to do a Finn the Human cosplay (from Adventure Time), however, Finn’s design is super simple. Usually, that’d be good news for a cosplayer. it makes their life easier, but I’m an alternative dressing person who loves decora and maximalism. Finn’s design only consists of a T-shirt and shorts, a backpack and a cute little animal ear hat-good thing. I want to make the outfit out of everyday clothing items rather than sewing them or getting a Finn costume, but I want to find ways to make the outfit more exciting and eye-catching, mostly so it doesn’t look like I’m not even in a costume. I thought of things like leg warmers, a cool hairstyle, hair clips, things like that. Any ideas?

How should I sign my new initials?

I recently changed my name from Elio to Finlay, last initial being S. Obvious, how I would sign my art was ES, shown in the attachments. now, with the underline the E makes, if I replace it with an F, it still looks like an E. Getting rid of the underline all together makes it seem all disconnected… how should I sign my art using FS? My middle initial is A, if that could possibly be incorporated.

How should I come out to my mom… again?

I officially came out to my parents a year ago. I told them my preferred name and pronouns, as well as my sexuality. Through this, my dad was incredibly supportive with an “I’ll love you no matter what you do” mentality. I love him for that.

My mom thinks she’s supportive but she ends up saying things like “are you sure you’re genderfluid and not just gay?” And “that’s the name I chose for her. I’m not giving that up” (that was when she outed me to her friends when she thought I wasn’t listening) She says she wouldn’t be able to transition to the new name and pronouns, using my trans neighbor as an example and talking about how long it took her to adjust to his name.

The thing is, she actually did adjust to his name eventually. But for me, she never even tried. A year later, she never uses my preferred pronouns or my name. I’ve agreed to only go by those at school, and the kids there don’t even do it most of the time.

Present day, I’m sick of it. I just want to be myself and I want her to get used to that. I’ve been thinking about changing my name again, to a gender neutral family name from my mom’s side. I like the name, and one of the reasons I even chose it was because if I were born a boy, that’s what she would’ve named me. I’m hoping she’ll actually use this name, maybe even my pronouns. I just don’t know how to tell her. If she doesn’t use the name, what is even the point? What if I don’t even like the new name but I don’t realize until after I start using it? I don’t know if she’ll understand that I’m still trying to figure out my identity. I’m scared that she’s too stubborn to let go of my birth name

I don’t know if I should change my name again, advice?

Should I change my name to Finn (Finlay) or keep Elio?

Pros:

  • More androgynous
  • Family name
  • My mom wanted it (will probably actually use the name unlike Elio)
  • Mertons…
  • Friends mostly seem supportive
  • Nicknames
  • Irish (my background)
  • Sounds less trans
  • Change it before high school

Cons:

  • I’d miss Elio
  • “Erm actually it’s Finn now🤓” to everyone at school
  • I like the meaning of Elio (sun) better than Finn (fair)
  • One of those ppl who change their name all the time
  • Do I just want my moms support and approval
  • Less unique?
  • Bye to people thinking I never changed my name

context: I first came out a year ago in early middle school as genderfluid, now I’m entering my last year of middle school (9th grade) and I think over the summer would be the best time to change my name if I’m ever going to. I know this is a very personal thing, but I need some advice
