2.5 year old not using words

We have been referred to speech therapy, but we are trying out best to get him to talk. We noticed recently that when we talk, his jaws move from left to right and he sort of whispering. It’s as he’s his trying to communicate, but it’s not coming out. Has anyone experienced this ? Should we be concerned?

United Kingdom (UK) who is responsible for returning company equipment when working remotely?

For context, my employer is 100 miles away from me. On my last day, I was meant to be in office to return the IT equipments ( whole bunch of stuff requiring multiple boxes, not just a laptop).

On my final day, I fell ill and couldn’t go to the office. Now, my employer is requesting that I a ex employee drive total 200 miles to drop off their equipment, and they won’t cover for my fuel.

I have asked them that it’s their responsibility now for them to take their asset back, they said on my contract of employment it states that I need to return the equipment at my own cost.

“Please find attached a copy of your Contract of Employment. The relevant contractual provisions regarding Company equipment and the return of Company property are set out within clauses 20, 25, 40.6 and 46.
These clauses require the return of all Company property issued during employment upon termination of employment, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, mobile phones, peripherals, and any related accessories.

In accordance with the contractual provisions referred to above, responsibility for returning Company property following termination of employment rests with the employee.”

It’s just seems unreasonable for me to do this for them …. Do I have any legal stance here ?

Location: England.

Returning company equipment after notice period ENGLAND

Hi

I just wanted some advice please when it comes to returning company equipment after your notice period ends. I work for a remote company.

So I handed in my notice to my employer (working remotely) 2 weeks ago. On my last day I was due to come into to the office ( 100 miles away from me), and return the equipment. Unfortunately, I fell ill last couple of days and couldn’t physically attend to the office or return my equipment.

I have gone over the notice period, but I need to return the equipment’s .

Now, the employer is asking that either I travel to the office (200 miles in total) to return the equipment’s, or arrange my own courier to deliver these equipment.

They said it needs to be insurance and fragile shipping. The equipments are not small items, it compromise of 2 monitors, telephone, dock station, laptop etc .

I asked the company if I will be claim Back the mileage expense if I go there to drop it off and they refused saying this is only applicable when travelling there to work.

They also wouldn’t be paying towards the courier fees.Is this acceptable? Do I have any legal grounds?

Hi all

I would like to send my 2 year old to nursery. I earn around £35k and my wife does not have access to public funds and does not work.

Based on this, I am above the threshold for nursery fee help and there are no other government initiatives to help me with the nursery cost. Daily nursery cost is £80+

Does anyone have any advise please?
