"Situationships" - the universe says oops that wasn't supposed to happen

Sorry for any redundancy in posting about romance and relationships. I am a 50something yo woman who pined and fantasized about a certain type of man all my adult life. It was a fantasy really. I even had a penpal in Europe who was this dreamy man but married. Anyhow I never had a real life relationship with this idealized man. Then one day out of nowhere I get matched with such a man who lives about 45 min. away from me. We met and then had sex on the 2nd meeting. Then he basically ghosted. Common I know with online dating apps. But I as I think about him almost 3 months later and consuming some social media about "situationships" not a hookup not a relationship but something that happened where two people were never meant to even cross paths. Could this possibly be the case with me? Has anyone else experienced this? It wasn't a one night stand. He actually came to my place and we shared dinner before getting intimate. But his physical appearance or background is nothing I ever had in my life. Maybe there are surreal moments in life after all.

I'm a single/childfree female and been there and done that. I will likely spend my 60th birthday alone by choice. It's in December this year. Any creative or original ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am embarassed to say that I am a late 50s single woman on the dating apps and still clueless about men. So a man ghosted me after sex on the 2nd date and b/c he lives 22 miles away (not convenient but not exactly a LDR situation) I still feel we have a chance to see each other, not necessarily for a "serious" relationship but just for companionship and intimacy. Anyhow, after a couple months, I haven't had a vacation in a while and thought about staying at a cute VRBO in his town which is known for good weather/amenities. I found a cute little casita with a pool. So I go ahead and book it then ask him to join me on whatsapp once I'm there? I am the spontaneous type anyways. He would live maybe 5-10 min max from this place and couldn't refuse. WE did after all already do the deed! IS THIS or could this be construed as an act of desperation?! or crazy?
