https://meupc.net/build/qWox43

Processador: AMD Ryzen 5 8600G 4.3 GHz 6-Core (R$ 1.115,20 / R$ 947,98 em KaBuM!)

Armazenamento: Kingston SSD NV3 1 TB M.2-2280 (R$ 1.047,00 / R$ 1.047,00 em Amazon)

Placa-mãe: MSI PRO A620M-E Micro ATX AM5 (R$ 644,40 / R$ 579,99 em KaBuM!)

Memória: ADATA AD5U56008G-S (Preto) 8 GB (1x8 GB) DDR5-5600 (R$ 1.099,00 / R$ 1.099,00 em Amazon)

Memória: ADATA AD5U56008G-S (Preto) 8 GB (1x8 GB) DDR5-5600 (R$ 1.099,00 / R$ 1.099,00 em Amazon)

Edit: Passei pra ADATA AD5U560016G-S (Preto) 16 GB (1x16 GB) DDR5-5600 por R$ 1645,00, considere R$ 553,00 reais a menos no preço final

Fonte: MSI MAG A500DN 500 W Certificado 80+ ATX (R$ 250,11 / R$ 250,11 em Gigantec)

Gabinete: TGT B130 (Preto) MicroATX Mini Tower (R$ 58,81 / R$ 49,99 em Pichau)

Total: R$ 5.313,52

Moving to the USA with a desktop pc on the carry on baggage? Is there anything about customs that I need to know before hand? I will also carry the receipts

I'm not completely settled on the idea yet, but I'm from Brazil and already have a gaming pc that was quite expensive here (ryzen 5700x, RX 6750 XT and 32 gb ram), I use for work, video editing and gaming. And a gaming laptop with any dedicated graphics card like a RTX 5050 is already very, very expensive here.

So I'm still debating selling the pc, getting a laptop, move, than get a pc again at the USA, and sell the laptop with a huge loss.

So I'm really considering just carrying my pc and not have the hassle of selling, buying a laptop and buying another pc on the USA as soon as I get there.

I already checked some old posts about carrying the pc itself, but I just wanted to be clear about customs, if it is the same as just carrying a cellphone or laptop with me.

Any tips or suggestion are welcome!

(I'm also a US citizen so the customs entry may be different than with a visa)

Thanks guys!

Valeu pessoal!

Help with resuming studies in the US

Hi guys! I’m planning to move to the US soon (in a year or two) to resume my studies and enter the job market, as it’s been a while since I’ve worked in my field.

I’m Brazilian and already have a US citizenship, so the move itself isn't the issue.

I’ve started looking into community colleges, but from what I’ve seen, I don’t qualify for most financial aid (if any), and the costs can be quite high. I’m 29, won’t be living with my parents, and will be new to the area, so I lack the required local residency (usually over a year), and already have a university degree.

I’m doing some research, but the rules can vary from state to state, so I thought I’d ask you guys.

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (from Brazil) and have about four years of experience in the field, though that was also four years ago. That’s why I want to go back to school, find a professional community, attend job fairs, etc.

I want to pursue a career in automotive engineering but my previous experience involved finite element analysis for conveyor belts and yard/mining machinery, as well as some stuff with discrete element analysis.

I haven’t settled on a specific state or city yet, I’m looking for a place with an affordable cost of living to start out, entry-level job opportunities (basically any area of course), and have a car community.

I’d appreciate suggestions for community colleges to look into and advice on the most cost-effective way to resume my studies and eventually enter the job market.

Thanks a lot, everyone!

Valeu!

How to do the audio editing like in this video? I mean specifically the audio/sound effect when the scene transitions, like from the outside shot to the inside with gear the gear shifting etc. Are those just audio transitioning effect or there is sound effects laid out on top of the footage?

What do I search for for this specific type of editing?

Thanks guys!

In terms of durability, is the Nike SB Zoom Blazer Low Pro GT much better then a Nike SB Chron 2?

Is it worth getting the Nike SB Zoom Blazer Low Pro GT around $60 (I'm in Brazil so R$ 300,00) instead of getting the SB Chron 2 for around R$ 38 - $46 (around R$ 200 - R$ 240,00, I'm waiting for the Chron 2 to go on sale, since they go considerably often through out the year).

The Nike SB Zoom Blazer Low Pro GT just popped up on a sale and they kind of never does.

Thanks guys!

Edit: The goal is to used it daily everywhere and go to the gym, I go everywhere walking and walk a lot on the street. I have the SB Chron 1 for a bit more than 5 years, and but only started using daily for 2 and they were already comfortable for me.

Gostei bastante do design no Malor.

Movies like Primer and Coherence? But doesn't need to have the time travel or parallel reality stuff. More like the same tone and mystery/psychological drama

I'm looking for movies like Primer and Coherence, but not necessary because of time travel stuff.

I did search some threads here already and watched some of the recommendations already, but I feel that all recommendations from those movies lean to much on time travel and sci fi and doesn't have the overall tone that Coherence and Primer has, that is what I'm looking for mostly.

I'm looking for something that seems more grounded, has that slow tone, like Primer and Coherence does, like the characters feeling like regular people may be an example. A smart plot that you have to pay attention the whole time and so on.

It's been a while since I watched but something more like Project Almanac (even though is also time travel), instead of 12 monkeys or Predestination.

Can be something like Fracture, Enemy (even thought I didn't like it that much), Gone Girl too. Maybe I'm just looking more for some mystery/psychological drama.

Thanks guys!

First time I messed up by using less hardener instead of more than I should. For a ratio, lets say, of something like 35% weight of hardener to epoxy resin (correct is 50%) will it ever cure?

Was going to just epoxy coat some flat pieces (a pair of paddle shifters, the piece is already done, just without finishing), since is only for a simulator so no sun light.

Since the pieces are small I mixed 4g of resin and 2g of hardener just for coating, this is already more than enough, but being so small quantities and due to the scale margin, I either put more resin than I should, or less hardener.

After 24h the coating is like a very thick gel. I probably put only 30% to 40% of hardener.

My only experience messing up hardener is putting too much, so will this ever cure with this low mixture?

I already finished all the proper work I had to do on some bigger pieces (this was a side thing) and the weather is turning for the worse now here where I live, 20C with rain (there is no closed ambient with temp control). So having to fix just this will be very unfortunate next week.

Thanks guys!

Cut slicks being put on the #67 Mustang

If anyone else, like me, was wandering if cut slicks actually meant hand cut slicks when they mentioned on the broadcast earlier.
