Cybertruck in GTA VI?

I tried submitting this as a market to Kalshi and was having a hard time getting it through, so I figured I’d just throw the idea out here.

With all the GTA VI markets already on Kalshi, I feel like we absolutely need one for:

Will GTA VI feature a Cybertruck-inspired vehicle?

Not necessarily an actual licensed Tesla — just Rockstar’s inevitably ridiculous GTA-universe version of one.

Feels like exactly the kind of stupidly specific thing prediction markets were invented for.

EA’s Dystopian Account Recovery Loop Locked Me Out of Madden 27 Early Access I Paid For

I genuinely don't know what EA expects me to do here, and after multiple support chats I'm starting to think EA has created an account-recovery situation with literally no exit.

I haven't bought Madden in about two years. I came back for Madden 27, bought the edition with paid Early Access, installed it on my Xbox, and discovered that my Xbox gamertag is still linked to my old EA account.

During those two years, I lost access to the old school email address and old phone number on that EA account.

Here's the important part: I know my password.

I have complete access to my Xbox/Microsoft account and gamertag.

I can provide EA with my DOB, purchase history, previous Madden purchases, old Ultimate Team information, billing information, etc. I'm not asking them to take my word for anything. I'm asking them to let me prove I own the account.

But when I sign in, EA requires additional verification. My only choices are:

  1. Send a code to the dead email.
  2. Send a code to the old phone number.

That's it.

So I contacted EA Support.

And contacted them again.

And again.

I've now been through this with multiple agents. They repeatedly trigger something called Device/Trusted Console Recovery, tell me to launch an EA game, and Madden dumps me straight back onto the exact same verification screen.

Today, after going through this yet again, an agent FINALLY figured out why Device Recovery doesn't work.

EA's "trusted device" is my OLD Xbox Series S.

I traded that Xbox in when I bought my current console.

It was factory-reset.

The EA agent actually acknowledged that the console I traded in was the registered device and then told me:

"For now you must try to use that console since it was registered on the account."

I explained that unless EA has invented time travel, that's going to be difficult.

I then asked for manual account ownership verification.

I'll provide whatever they need. Purchase records. Gamertag. Billing history. DOB. Previous games. Whatever.

Instead, I was told:

"We're unable to make any changes to the EA Account itself at the moment due to some security reasons."

And:

"You may consider reaching out to us later to make the changes."

Okay.

So I asked the obvious alternative:

Can EA just unlink my Xbox gamertag from this inaccessible EA account so I can create a new one?

Nope.

EA Support told me:

"If you can access the account that's the only time we can unlink the gamer tag."

So here's the loop:

Can't access EA account -> need verification.

Can't verify -> old email and phone are gone.

Try Device Recovery -> requires old Xbox.

Old Xbox -> factory-reset and traded in.

Manually verify ownership -> EA Support won't do it.

Unlink Xbox gamertag -> requires access to EA account.

Create a new EA account -> doesn't solve it because my Xbox gamertag is already linked to the inaccessible one.

And here's the part that concerns me beyond Madden:

Doesn't this effectively mean I can't play ANY EA game requiring this EA/Xbox connection online?

This isn't just "I forgot my password."

I KNOW THE PASSWORD.

I have access to the Xbox account connected to the EA account. I'm sitting here using that Xbox account on a new Xbox. I have years of purchases associated with it.

But because I didn't buy Madden for a couple of years, during which I changed phone numbers, lost access to a college email address, and upgraded my Xbox, EA's system apparently has no way to establish that I'm me.

People replace consoles.

People change phone numbers.

People lose access to school/work email addresses.

Surely I cannot be the first EA customer in history to have all three happen.

EA finally said they're forwarding my case for additional review. My case is #252552383.

But after all of these support conversations, I still don't have a clear answer about what the actual recovery procedure is when the "trusted console" literally no longer exists.

And meanwhile, the clock is ticking on Early Access that I specifically paid extra to receive.

So I'm asking anyone who's dealt with this:

Has anyone successfully escaped this EA recovery loop?

Is there an actual manual account-verification department? A specific escalation process? Someone at EA who can manually verify ownership or remove the Xbox link?

Where’s the rest of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament on Hulu?

Hulu has a bunch of last season’s quarterfinal episodes, but then it just stops. No semifinals, no finals, no conclusion whatsoever.

Are the remaining episodes coming later, or did Hulu really decide to leave us all hanging halfway through the tournament?

Also I have no idea who is watching this but I would pay between 7-9 dollars a month just to have all the Jeopardy episodes as a YT Subscription, FYI.

Our little traveling Jesus has already made it to Maine, Aruba, and plenty of places in between. Judging by the photos, He has developed a suspiciously strong interest in seafood.

This began as a simple summer project in our local Episcopal network: send small Jesus figures out into the world, photograph them in everyday, beautiful, funny, and unexpected places, and remind one another that Christ is not confined to a church building.

Now I’m wondering how much farther this could go.

My questions for r/Christianity**:**

  1. How could we expand this beyond our local Episcopal network? Would Christian podcasts, magazines, newsletters, camps, dioceses, or other denominations be interested? Does anything like this already exist at a larger scale?
  2. Would anyone here like a starter kit for their church, youth group, family, or ministry? DM me!
  3. Come join the Facebook group, share your photos, and help us find out just how far Jesus can travel:

Who’s organizing against the effort to repeal legal marijuana in Massachusetts—and how can I help?

Hello, friends. I’m genuinely concerned about the recent efforts to roll back or repeal legal marijuana in Massachusetts.

Beyond the fact that I think it would be an enormous step backward, it could hurt the state economy, disrupt a now-established industry, and threaten the jobs of thousands of people who currently work in cultivation, retail, production, security, marketing, and related businesses.

On a personal level, legal cannabis has also made my life noticeably easier. It helps me stay calmer and more comfortable in stressful environments, and I would very much like to continue enjoying the trees without Massachusetts suddenly deciding to reverse course.

So I’m curious:

Who are the most organized groups working to stop this effort?

Are there campaigns, petitions, hearings, volunteer groups, or advocacy organizations people should know about?

And what can an individual actually do that would be useful?

I’m a fairly experienced video editor, producer, and digital content person. I’d be especially interested in helping with short videos, social media content, interviews, explainers, testimonials, or anything else that could help communicate what is at stake.

I’m not looking to reinvent the wheel or start my own random campaign. I’d rather connect with people who are already organized and contribute something useful.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is Facebook Post Sharing Within Meta Business Suite is not possible?!

Hello friends!

I manage posting for several Facebook Pages through Meta Business Suite. I have permission to create and schedule posts, but I do not necessarily have full admin access or every Page permission.

I also have a large batch of posts from a public Facebook group that I need to share to those Pages.

The links Facebook gives me look like this:

facebook.com/share/p/...

I have also tried using the full group permalink:

facebook.com/groups/[group-name]/permalink/[post-ID]

The problem is that when I paste either version into Meta Business Suite, it does not generate the normal Facebook post preview with the original image and content. It just creates a plain URL.

I am specifically trying to:

  • Schedule the posts in advance
  • Preserve the original image/post preview
  • Share from a public group to multiple Pages
  • Do this with posting permissions, but without full Page admin access

The old “Share to a Page you manage” option does not appear to exist anymore, at least in my account.

When working from the professional dashboard on pages I have full access to edit, I have no problems. It appears to be just from the Meta Business Suite I am having this issue.

Is there currently any reliable way to schedule a native share of a public group post through Meta Business Suite?

Is this blocked because I only have partial Page permissions, or does Business Suite simply not support scheduled shares of existing Facebook posts?

I know I can download the image and recreate each one as a new Page post, but I have quite a few of these, so I’m hoping there is a cleaner workflow.

Thanks!

Does anyone else feel like 007 First Light will ultimately be judged by its sequels?

I’m just past the Vietnam mission, and without getting into spoilers, I do think the game gets better as it goes. It has really grown on me, and a lot of its strongest ideas and concepts seem to become more confident as the game progresses.

The thing I keep wrestling with—and maybe this is a little unfair—is that I feel like this game is eventually going to be judged by the quality of its sequels.

Right now, it feels like a genuinely strong foundation. But if this ends up being the only game, or if IOI doesn’t get the chance to iterate on it the way they did from Hitman to Hitman 2 and then Hitman 3, and ultimately the world of assassination, I worry it could become yet another frustrating James Bond footnote in gaming history.

I really like the core of what they’ve built here. At the same time, I’m already thinking about what this formula could become three, four, or five years from now with better shooting, larger and more flexible missions, deeper social stealth, more gadgets, and everything else they could refine.

Does anyone else have that same feeling? Like you’re enjoying this game, but you’re even more excited about the potential sequel—and also slightly terrified that Amazon MGM will somehow fuck the whole thing up before it gets there?

I don’t understand why the Sharks went feral for Knife Aid?

I’m rewatching the Shark Tank episode with the mail-in knife sharpening company, and I’m genuinely trying to understand why the Sharks were so aggressively into that business.
Not the founders personally — they seemed credible and had a good background. I mean the business itself.

From a normal-person perspective, it feels like: “You mail your knives somewhere, they sharpen them, and mail them back.” Useful? Sure. But the Sharks acted like someone had invented the wheel, fire, and recurring revenue in one envelope.
What am I missing here?

Was the appeal that it was a boring old service turned into a slick direct-to-consumer brand? Was it the recurring customer potential? The idea that they could become “the” national knife-sharpening brand?

The gift/subscription angle? Or were the Sharks mostly reacting to the founders’ track record and early traction?

Because I get why it’s a business. I don’t fully get why it was a “chase them into the hallway” business.

Would love to hear from anyone who understands the investor logic, service businesses, DTC brands, or just remembers the episode better than I do.

Did Johnny Carson Censor His Mentor, Red Skelton?!

Okay it's far less serious then it seems, but In this episode of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Red Skelton appears to get censored — or at least very awkwardly dubbed — during a joke about the DeLorean.

The replacement line doesn’t really make sense, which sent me down a little rabbit hole about what he might have actually said, why NBC might have changed it, and how Johnny Carson’s own DeLorean connection makes the whole thing even funnier.

The video is basically about the whys, the hows, and the general ridiculousness of this tiny classic-TV mystery.

Also, yes, I apologize for the slightly clickbaity title/thumbnail/description, but unfortunately that’s life in the NFL of YouTube.

Is this from anything?

Hi, friends.

I'm curious if this quote from Ben Franklin in the movie 1776 is from anything.

I looked for it.

I can't find it, but I figure historical experts would know better than I would, because I think it's profound and really well written and speaks very much to the American psyche.

Ben Franklin Defines The American Spirit

Hello, friends. I love this quote from the 1776 movie. I would imagine it is as accurate to history as I am accurate to a Bald Eagle flying in the skies.

But I thought it really captures the spirit of what America is and how you define it, especially against the British Empire at the time, so I wanted to share it.

I'm curious if any of you folks who are smarter than I am know if he ever said anything like this. I can't find it. But if there is, I'd love to know.

Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance

Red Skelton sharing his teacher’s lesson on the meaning of every word in the Pledge. It’s heartfelt, powerful, and pure patriotism. Figured it's appropriate for July 4th.

But that closing line about “under God” always gets me: “Wouldn’t it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools, too.” Feels like a weird thing to add on the end given the time. I know there's no politics so I'm not suggesting we comment on it, just pointing it out as an interesting artifact.

Classic TV at its finest. Happy early Fourth of July!

The Ending on Xbox. Some Spoilers(!)

Hi friends!

I read that one of the amazing things this game does is play with the desktop of the user, on PC at least. I'm a console gamer. I'm curious, without spoiling things, what the game does on the Xbox to approximate the whole window moving / desktop thing it likes to do. Does it ignore it completely? Create a fake regular PC desktop? Or something a bit more wild.

That Other Dean Martin + Jerry Lewis Reunion

Does it bug anyone else that this little cameo / reunion gag from the Eddie Fisher show is almost never counted when talking about Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis's Estrangement? I know it was relatively early on in their 'break up' but seemingly every video I see listed doesn't include this little bit.

I wonder why!
