Round1 coming to the Paseo? How do you feel about this?

No idea the veracity behind this but if it were to happen what do you think? Would it be a boon for the almost dead Paseo?

[Brock Huard] What if Sam Darnold is better? Like, really, really better?

“What if Sam Darnold is better? Like, really, really better?” Huard said. “Because I was out there (at training camp) a couple days, and I watched all of mandatory minicamp. And you know who was better than he was last year? Sam Darnold. You know who is infinitely better right now than he was exactly 12 months ago in training camp? Sam Darnold.

“What if Sam Darnold takes the next step in his career? Instead of just being a great story, … what if he actually is that good? Because he’s playing that way right now. And I know it’s training camp, but I also know it’s up against one of the best defenses in the NFL.”

Is this guy a 2027 first rounder?

This I'm sure has been asked before. I'm not a Lincoln Riley fan but his last QBs coached are:

  • Jayden Maiava
  • Miller Moss
  • Caleb Williams
  • Spencer Rattler
  • Jalen Hurts
  • Kyler Murray
  • Baker Mayfield

Moss was benched after 9 games and Rattler was benched his second season in 2021 after 5 games.

So that means 4 of the 7 QBs that finished their careers with him became established NFL starting QBs.

Maiava will be going into his 3rd season under Riley and 2nd as a full time starter. Unless something catastrophic happens or he hard regresses, he's likely to finish the season as USC's starting QB.

Don't the odds kind of work in his favor?

His playstyle and mechanics reminds me of Jordan Love.

Something bothers me…

For context I’m 39 year old male. I posted a video on TikTok about Victoria Castle, who was sexually assaulted and murdered by her brother-in-law last week, because how much it bothered me.

The video currently has 2335 likes. No joke, only about 5 of those likes were by men/boys. (None of the comments)

Either, for some reason, the video is only coming across female users’ FYP or the more disheartening conclusion is that majority of men don’t care.

I really hate that.

This is how far our country has fallen, there’s no going back

Maybe some are bot accounts but how can you even combat this kind of thinking?

[Brock Huard on OTAs] Sam Darnold was awesome. You watch him out here, you're seeing the precision, the timing, the accuracy and the command. He's the general and everybody knows it.

Brock Huard: "He is all business. He is in tune. His fundamentals, he goes to work on those things, he refines them, he has specialists he works with. To make sure his efficiency is there and his technique is there. It was an impressive display."

"On the flip side because he was so sharp, when you watch Jalen Milroe... still very much a work in progress."

Brian from Hawks Blogger: "Sam Darnold looks locked in. He looks like he's ready to enter the next phase of his career. He made some gorgeous throws. A lot of them to JSN. Not a lot of balls put in harms way. He looks like the guy that's going to play high level quarterback for this team again. I think this guy is going to end up one of the 10 best quarterbacks in the league. I saw nothing that would suggest it's going back to the drawing board with a new OC."
