Did you ever lie about your employment gap?

I'm trying to get a job at this hotel but my employment gap is bad so I told them I worked at a restaurant from March 2025 to October 2025, but the truth is I only worked there during the month of March. The reason I told that white lie is because the restaurant ended up shutting down in October, so I figured the chances of them being able to verify my employment were pretty slim.

Has anyone else ever been in a situation like this? If so, what happened? Did the employer ever find out, or did it come up during the background check?

The face you make in the morning when you realize you left at toxic job just to end up at a even more toxic job

It's just crazy how you can have good energy smile and and go out your way to make other people smile and the shit still won't matter. You will still be made out to be the problem. And I especially hate dealing with this at customer service jobs.
