Can anyone tell me exactly the type of wood? Bought at TK Maxx in Germany (TJ Maxx) and labeled as 'Teak' but unable to find anything similar.

I love this cutting board I think it looks awesome. Labeled "Teak" in the store but a Google search of teak cutting boards doesn't give me anything like this.

Very light for its size.

Pros/cons of using a commercial oven at home? Or any commercial gear for that matter?

I want to buy this commercial oven to use at home. I don't have a spot to "install" an actual oven but I still want to get a bad ass oven similar in power/heat output like the ones we have at work. This one uses Infrared heating elements and has convection. 30°c - 270°c range. The power cord is standard outlet.

What are your opinions on using commercial equipment at home? Is it going to potentially use much more power? I mean I don't want to buy some weak 30L oven off Amazon that takes 10 minutes to heat up. Anyone have a semi-commercial setup at home?

Bald-curious guy just wondering: how does the council view iconic bald hairstyles? How does one know when to go iconic?

This is a legit question and I am just curious. I have sympathy for people that are going bald, it is very emotionally difficult to have aspects of your appearance change that you have no control over. But I am curious why some choose to go iconic. Thanks!

Inexperienced builder/player who has only ever made it to the swamps: help with leveling with the hoe

I would like to make a seemingly flat surface for my base, and for the most part I can get pretty close, but the hilly parts stop leveling at some point and just stay mounds. Is there a trick to getting a more even level despite the terrain? Is there later game gear that can make it flat?

Also double dipping here: what is the new strategy for Black Forest? With the bear and what I feel like is way more spawning in general, it's very difficult to mine copper because there is constantly something aggroing me/running towards me. I feel like 2 years ago black forest was pretty chill if you could make your way to a copper node. Any advice for modern Valheim?

I'm looking for a soy sauce dispenser that doesn't create a stream, but limits the flow to a drop

I am starting to experiment with "high quality" soy sauces after just using kikoman my whole life, and we'll they are expensive. Where any extra kikoman goes down the drain after sushi, I would like to have more control over how much I use.

Do they make soy sauce dispensers that "drop drop drop" instead of pouring out in a stream? In my head I could see it being the perfect thing for sushi.

Also, tell me the best high quality soy sauces to try. I recently bought Ya mason Kyoto and Yamaroku 4 years aged. And tell me any sushi condiments that I should try!

Shot with Pentax 135mm f/3.5 and Pentax 50mm f/1.4

My gf works in a huge art museum in Nürnberg and I wanted to buy this 50mm with a great f/1.4 for taking photos of art. I am loving using these old lenses on an ultra modern camera (Lumix S5II)

A little German New-wave for you guys

I hope this is allowed. This is for any fans of Talking Heads or Peter Gabriel, sowas in die Art.

This song is extremely entertaining and was a global hit during it's time. I present: Eisbär (polar bear) from Grauzone (1981):

Polar bear
Polar bear
Cold ice
Cold ice
Polar bear
Polar bear
Oh, polar bear

[Chorus]
I want to be a polar bear in the cold polar region
Then I wouldn't have to scream anymore
Everything would be so clear
I want to be a polar bear in the cold polar region
Then I wouldn't have to scream anymore
Everything would be so clear

[Instrumental]

[Chorus]
I want to be a polar bear in the cold polar region
Then I wouldn't have to scream anymore
Everything would be so clear
I want to be a polar bear in the cold polar region
Then I wouldn't have to scream anymore
Everything would be so clear

Polar bears never have to cry
Polar bears never have to cry
Polar bears never have to cry
Polar bears never have to cry

(New) Vintage Lenses and some sample photos -- Shot with Lumix S5II in Aperture Mode -- Sigma 200mm f/3.5 Tele/Macro Dial -- Pentax K 135mm f/3.5

I'm just starting my journey with Digital Photogrophy, but I am an experienced manual Instax user. I absolutely love my S5II such a great camera! But I will always be a lover of a more manual experience, and I can't get enough of these old Japanese lenses.

It will be a picture of the lens followed by their photos:

Bought this vintage lens listed as an "m42" mount. I can't get it to attach to my m42 adapter. Can you tell me which thread this is?

The other lens does fit the adapter and it has a screw like thread on the mounting side. Thanks!

NONS SL645 with a 75 year old West German EXACTA lens literally found in a box on the side of the road:

Found this lens in a box on the side of the road in Bavaria. It set in my cellar for 2 years until chance would have it I got into instant photography. After playing around with the Fuji Instax cameras, I bought this NONS camera and an EF/Exacta Adapter. Love how these images turned out!

I hope whoever's grandpa or great grandpa who owned the lens, I hope he knows it took beautiful pictures again

Lumix S5ii shot with a Sigma f/3.5 200mm vintage lens

I want to buy the best pure photography lens camera €1,500 can buy. I'm currently looking at Lumix S5II. What is a better pure photography camera for this money?

(1) Budget, country, and currency:

1,500 Euros Germany

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?

I have currently a few Exakta lenses from the 50s (but irrelevant here, i would buy new)

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?

Pretty much everything: Nature, Architecture, People

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?

Photography

The last 5 months I've been doing a ton of manual lens photography on my NONS SL645. I love it so much and I love the control of each aspect. I have learned a ton about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, bokka, etc. and it was really high risk being an Instax camera! But I am starting to get really good and would like to now buy a digital camera to take nice and cool and interesting photos.

I am drawn to this Lumix camera for whatever reason, but I have no brand loyalty or any reason to be stuck here. I actually like Fuji as a company for obvious reasons. I'm pretty sure I want a full frame camera (I'm guessing this is where the future is headed?) I definitely want a viewfinder and any ease of use would also be appreciated (I still want full control over aperture and shutter speed etc, but an easy menu could be nice).

Obviously if there is a ton of lenses available this is also a bonus, but I'm not stuck on anything in particular. I want to know from AskPhotography:

What is the best photo camera €1,500 can buy?

Here is some of my Instax stuff

https://www.reddit.com/r/instax/s/1BUbmu1Am3 https://www.reddit.com/r/instax/s/ZNxislGeIt https://www.reddit.com/r/instax/s/8oPm2iZZvZ

Edit: I understand, the argument is it's the photographer not the camera that takes nice photos/ you need to have a trained eye for good photos.

But for example, I love the look of Leica photos from Leica cameras, but I don't have €4,000 to spend. I'm not convinced the s5II is the best camera for photography because I see a lot of "hybrid" stuff mentioned, so I'm asking you guys.
