Your experience with sapphire preferred travel protection?

We are about to book a cruise that will take place a year from now. Currently my husband and I are in good health, but we’re retired and at our age, anything can happen over the course of a year. And my mother is 90 years old and doing well right now but again, you never know what a year will bring.

Having never used the chase sapphire preferred travel protection, I don’t know how reliable it is. For any of you who have made a claim for trip cancellation or trip interruption due to illness or due to the illness of a family member such as your mother, how was the claims process? What was your situation that required you to file the claim?

Did they reimburse your nonrefundable expenses? Timely? I realize they need documentation, but did they ask for reasonable documentation or did they keep thinking of something new they needed every time you sent what they already asked for?

If you have made a claim on your trip insurance, please share the name of the company and details of your experience whether good or bad.

I’m not really interested in how friendly this sales agent was or how easy it was to purchase the coverage. I’m more interested in what happened if you filed a claim.

Also did you purchase the CFAR (cancel for any reason) add-on covg? We are going to be booking a cruise soon, but it won’t take place until a year from now. A whole lot of things could happen over the course of a year that I cannot even anticipate or imagine right now. So that’s why I’m thinking of getting the CFAR coverage added on just in case something bizarre were to come up that’s not listed in the regular policy.

I’d love to hear your claims experience whether on a regular travel insurance policy OR on a Cancel For Any Reason policy. Thank you!

How much water did you drink the day of your reclast infusion?

Please don’t reply with any scary stories of your terrible reaction to reclast. I don’t want to minimize your bad experience, but I’m having an infusion tomorrow and I don’t have any choice about it, so please don’t say anything to scare me.

Just looking for tips on exactly what you did for your reclast infusion that you believe helped? All my doctor said is to hydrate, he gave no amount of water. I specifically asked him twice if he would add to the order for me to have a bag of fluid before and or after the infusion and he said absolutely not necessary.

A lot of literature says to drink two 8-oz glasses of water, but that doesn’t sound like very much. How much did you drink? Is it fine to eat before the infusion?

Did you take Tylenol the day of the infusion and if so, how long before the infusion and how much Tylenol? Should I take some Tylenol tonight? Any other tips or suggestions to help have a good outcome?

Reliable key fob replacement for MDX??

We have a 2017 MDX that we were planning to drive for another few years. One of the key fobs came up missing when we did a 600 mile move. The other key fob (key less remote) has always worked fine until this week. It seems to be struggling with the signal intermittently. So you’re afraid to turn the car off in a public place because you may not be able to start it when you get back in it.

We’ve already mentioned it to the dealership service center once and they didn’t have much of an answer. I’m sure they’d be happy to sell us a new key fob, but they did not seem to have any suggestions or solutions for the existing one.

If any of you have ever bought a replacement keyless remote for your Acura MDX from someplace other than the Acura dealership, do you mind sharing where you purchased it and your experience with it?? Were you happy with it? Was it reliable? Did it last for the long-term? Thank you!

I know there’s been a number of complaints on here recently about Amazon sending used merchandise when the customer bought something that was supposed to be new. That happened to me twice recently, and on one of them I tried to include the fact that they sent me a used backpack with food stains in it in my review, and my review just isn’t getting approved. I initially sent this review in early April. It’s still sitting in my box where I can see it, so I know it didn’t disappear, but they’re just not approving it. I included pictures and I kept it fairly brief. No insults or anything really negative. I just stated that the backpack looks really attractive, appears to be inexpensively made so while it looks good and has great storage I’m not sure if it will last for a terribly long time, but the worst thing in my case is that I received one that was used and had food stains inside. Photos attached. And they won’t approve it for some reason. They haven’t really given any reason why, they just aren’t sending it through.

I’ve definitely seen other reviews in the past where a customer mentioned receiving used items. But for some reason they’re not posting mine. I was just curious if anybody else has had a similar situation? It doesn’t matter that much, but I’m curious if they’re intentionally not posting it due to what seems to be a recent increase in the number of used items they’re sending to people. I wonder if this is just their way of hiding that by not allowing the review to go through.

If you’ve experienced something similar to that recently, I’d love to hear more about it.
