Be safe have fun and number one, love your self and your neighbors!!
What are you doing to celebrate or protest the 250th birthday of the USA?
I can recall 1976! I was just 4 at the time but can recall the noise, explosions and airplanes!! What are your favorite 4th memories to share?
Wire transferred funds for my 1991 944S2 Cab I posted about recently - I pick it up on Saturday.
6 whole days to wait!~ I'm like a kid over here tapping my foot, looking at 944S2 pics, videos, specs, etc. I have worn you tube out.
It is a good thing, the seller is replacing the oil pressure sending unit as it had a tiny leak and he wans the car to be perfect upon delivery. Lucky for me he has a full shop at his home and is quite capable of performing the work. Another bonus is he lives 2 hours away in the country, LOTS of windy roads to get home.
I will post an insane amount of pictures next weekend. Pick up is Saturday, the weather is supposed to be decent until the evening when storms roll in. The car will be under cover by then, one of my goals is for it to never see weather.
If you look on the front fender, there are Pegasus on each side, an homage to the Mobile race cars of the past.
I haven't done a daily in a hot minute!
Today, let's honor our significant others, our partners in life and crime who are always by our sides. Whether that be a person, a dog, a cat or an imaginary friend!
I'll honor my wife of almost 29 years! She is amazing and goes out of her way every day to make sure mine is better, we work hard on ourselves and each other and that shows in the strong bonds we have built over 3 decades together.
Now get out there, kick ass, have an amazing day and be sure to HUG SOMEONE!!!
And above all, know that someone, somewhere, is thinking about you with love in their heart!
UPDATE: BOUGHT THE CAR!!! Hope to have her home tomorrow!
I saw a 944S2 cab in N Hollywood California that got my curiosity up. VERY low price but very high miles at asking price of 8995 and 200K miles. inop roof mechanism, new control arms. Seller is a dealer who has not been super responsive to this point.
I then did a more local search which I had not in awhile, lo and behold, a 1991 944S2 cab, guards red, excellent paint, lots of recent work, including timing belt and its less than 2hrs away. 120K miles asking $12500. I am offering $10K for the car if it passes my inspections Saturday AM. Roof and all other items work, newish tires, new timing belt and balance shaft belt. New ball joints. AC blows cold 59 degrees F verified by video. Plenty of tread left on tires. Paint in good condition, a few chips here and there. New Lindsey Racing fuel lines, plugs and oil change, engine is very clean, the whole car looks super clean. Save for it has been hit in the front. I dont have details, but there is a bit of panel gap where there should not be. Seller claims it was repaired, but no details yet.
The damage does not show up on the history report, which is a positive, but I am concerned with how the work was done. Seller states the car drives perfectly.
Ive owned an 87 944S before this, so I have some ideas on what I am looking at, but is there anything else I need to check? Seller posted a cold start video, verified cool headers with a heat gun and the start up sounded great. Zero lifter noise, smooth running, no misses or any other issues I could hear.
I already made the offer, and the seller didn't turn it down, nor did he accept. We have an appointment Sat AM for me to drive up. I'll be brining a wad of cash for a deposit if we agree, and come to pick it up with the balance next week.
I will engage the parking brake, put it in first and slowly release the clutch to see if it slips, that is a trick an old friend taught me. I guess I am only really concerned with the clutch at this point, is it the old rubber center or has it been replaced?
I'll also go over it with a magnet to look for any filler, crawl around under it if they will put it on their lift.. What else can I do to test it, what else to look at?
Danke' friends.
I hope your engine blows up on the way to a job interview. I am SICK of hearing that piece of shit honda brapping all over the fucking neighborhood. Get fuct.
Seriouslyu, we need legislation against this shit, its annoying ands terrible for the environment, that popping and brapping is unspent fuel detonating int he exhaust pipe....
Hi all, I picked this up from a local seller last week, it’s held perfect time so far, been in water, has a real sapphire crystal and definitely has the ceramic bearing system, she’s loud! Band is real leather, the clasp is nice, engravings all seem tight, the sandwich dial looks great. The lume doesnt hold up to my Omega 300M, but it’s not horrible.
I haven’t seen this movement anywhere before, I’d appreciate the groups input on this one as it is my first.
I paid $140 for it, new with box, no papers/cards. Seller had quite a few other watches and clothing items and a great sales history and feed back ratings. If you folks approve of this, I might pick up another clone from him soon.
So far I am a happy camper, always wanted a Panerai, but the Omega and other watches have taken priority. When this popped up I couldn’t help myself, now I want a real one.
I have been playing the OG AC on PS4 Pro recently. I made the move to my PC today - WOW!
I am hooked, and will be selling the PS4 Pro soon.
What are the best settings for the G29 to get the best 'feel' in the game? I want realistic feedback. So far it is good but feels a bit flat. Not as engaging as it was in PS4 Pro AC.
Appreciate any suggestions!
Hi RVA! I am beginning to get into the hobby of sim racing, it is amazingly fun for me and a great way to waste time and money. I used to do a lot of outdoor sports, like mountain biking, but a gnarly crash put an end to that.
Looking for other sim racers in the area, is there a local group or anything like that?
Thanks everyone, have a great day!
Go hug someone!
Has anyone else been experiencing delays receiving packages from USPS lately? I have several in the loop that have been delayed time and time again, despite being in Richmond. No reason, no card, they deliver the regular mail,(late all the time) but no packages. Too much work? Sonos speaker poachers? This is the Tuckahoe area.
I play race sims on PS4 pro, GT7, Corsa Assetto... On either game, with the physical volume wheels on the headset, and all system/game volumes up, it is still quite low. I connected my Sonos ACE headphones for the heck of it and they are MUCH louder.
I connected via HDMI to my receiver, and while the PS4 sounds great on a Klipsch surround system, my wife wont enjoy that so much. Yes, I could just go headphones to the receiver, but I lose the ability to chat while driving in game.
Is something wrong with the Clouds? Settings somewhere I am missing? PS4 Pro is picking them up by name.
Thanks all!
