What is Clemson (Town) like?

Im really considering Clemson for college, being an environmental science major it seems like a fantastic fit, however, I’m worried about the town of Clemson, multiple people have told me that the town is boring and that there’s not much to do? I’m not a huge drinker so I would love some variety outside of that. Can some Clemson students weigh in on this?

P.S. I’m between UofSC and Clemson

Need Advice

I want to try herbs, I’ve never done drugs or alcohol, so I’m brand new. I know that I want something to chill out, since I cannot stop thinking. My goals would be:

  1. Chill out
  2. Enjoy the Moment
  3. For things to feel better (Music, Food, ETC)
  4. For me to become more social and things to become funnier

I’ve already started looking at Kava and Blue Lotus, any more suggestions???

It’s really important to me that these things are relatively safe!!

How is Kentucky?

I’m currently choosing which Colleges to attend and I’m currently stuck between two, University of South Carolina and University of Kentucky, I’m not really sure what my concerns about UK are, possibly that I’ve heard it’s not incredibly social or a classic big college experience (and that their env science isn’t the best), but I’m asking for students to PLEASE leave their experiences below. I know the social life and overall area (including campus and Lexington) are incredibly important to me.

Thanks To All Those That Reply!!

South Carolina vs Kentucky?

I’m planning to major in Environmental Science (possibly Ecology/Marine Science) and would love a film/cinematography minor if possible.

What I’m looking for:
1. Around 20,000+ students
2. Classic American college experience (football, traditions, school spirit)
3. Beautiful campus with lots of green space
4. Fun, lively campus with plenty happening even if I don’t want to party
5. A walkable college town with things to do (restaurants, coffee shops, movies, bowling, mini golf, shopping, festivals, etc.)
6. Strong Environmental Science program
7. Happy student body
8. Preferably warmer weather (I’m from Connecticut), but I’m open to Big Ten schools too.

My Profile (Short — Not Including Extracurriculars)
Stats: 3.7 UW / 4.6 W GPA, Top 10% of my class, 1260 SAT.

My biggest fear is honestly going somewhere where it’s incredibly easy to get bored or being in an ugly and uneventful city (along with being stuck on a boring campus).

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE BETWEEN U KENTUCKY AND U SOUTH CAROLINA!!

South Carolina vs FSU

I got accepted to both, both are within 2 thousand of eachother, now I just have no clue, I think my biggest factors when looking at each honestly are:

  1. Their Social Scenes
  2. HOW FUN AND INTERESTING THE SURROUNDING AREA IS (Very Important)
  3. Things to do on campus
  4. Student Happiness

Honestly my biggest fear is getting bored/trapped in an ugly city.

What is Auburn (town) like?

I’m nearly sold on Auburn, campus seems beautiful, everyone is happy there, but there’s one thing holding me back. The town of Auburn, it seems like a great college town, but besides drinking and eating is there anything to do there? I’m curious on what the Town of Auburn is like for a student at Auburn University who’s not interested in drinking and going to clubs every weekend?

How Noticable are the Affects of Blue Lotus?

I’ve thought about trying Blue Lotus, I just wanted to hear some opinions on Blue Lotus and what its affects were, I’m also a little worried that the effects are nearly unnoticeable?

What’s it like at UArk?

I’ve heard lots of mixed opinions on UArk, some say it’s fun and lively and others say it’s dull and boring on campus, generally I always hear great things about Fayetteville, what is life at UArk really like?

Stuck Between AU and UofSC

I’m stuck between Auburn University and University of South Carolina, I’m going to study environmental science, but honestly my main concern is how enjoyable my 4 years will be. Please help me decide.

P.S. my main concern with Auburn is the surrounding area and feeling bored (Since it is a smaller town) and my main concern with UofSC is the Columbia area (I’ve heard mixed reviews)

Is Columbia a Fun City?

I’m pretty much sold on South Carolina, I mean it has a beautiful campus and strong academics, my only worry is Columbia, I’ve heard that it was more industrial rather than fun? I’m between Auburn University and South Carolina and the only thing holding me back about South Carolina is Columbia. Can you just explain what life in Columbia is actually like?
