I was in absolute shock when Benjy's song was playing, I couldn't believe something so broken passed, you could tell the singer was struggling to hold the melody because the lyrics are so crammed together and clearly not designed for smooth singing.
We have many well written country songs that tell entire stories, murder ballads that do both storytelling and poetry at the same time. What I felt when listening to Benjy's song was like I was listening to a design document for the game being sung.
The issue proceeded with Two Toe Tom and from what I can see it keeps being like this for the rest of the game.

Is there something I'm missing? Are these songs written so awkwardly on purpose not minding syllables and verse structure or is it all just poor songwriting?
The melody is fine, the music in the game is phenomenal and so are the sound effects.

I'm a visual artist, not a musician but even so I can tell the lyrics just don't work

Pros:

- Exceptionally good movement and prompt understanding
- Very high quality voice acting in multiple languages I tested

Cons:

- Keeps adding music to videos no matter what, even if you prompt without music the music is randomly still there

- It loves cutting to different shots even when prompted to maintain a single continous shot, this was also a problem with 3.0 early on even with mutli shot disabled, but there's no way to disable or enable this with 4.0 flash yet

- No start and end frame feature, probably purposely omitted so they can sell it for the full one as usual. Start frame is there tho.

Minor gripes:

- Element consistency is good but not ideal sometimes, still better than previous models

If Kling didn't have such predatory practices and weren't so anti consumer, I'd easily sub for a second year for Kling 4.0 alone, but I bet they'll make it more expensive too.

I am Terrified of losing 200 euros on a package I bought from Hungary because the seller couldn't print the shipping label or something, I just don't know what to do at this point.

The seller is very communicative. I bought a rare/expensive game/console from them for 200 euros.

They were going to ship it with FedEx but because FedEx in my country charges exceptionally high broker fees, I asked if they could ship it with UPS instead which is cheaper and I use it all the time when buying from Amazon so they did.

But when creating the shipping label they apparently couldn't print it, so they manually filled in the info and sent the package like that, UPS Accepted it.

The initial shipping was 36 euros total, they got a discount so he refunded 6 euros to me back.

This is the message the seller sent me:

"Good evening! Today I managed to ship the package. I've got a 10% off coupon so it was 'only' $30, I've refunded the excess. UPS site still did not worked properly, I was able to fill the export form (with actual item value), however it was not possible to print and attach to the box. Not sure if you can take any advance, but I just want to let you know."

So they were able to fill out the export form but not print the label, somehow UPS accepted the package and they were able to send it.

I got the tracking number and all, after that for days I noticed the package kept cycling through Export Scans, Wearhouse Scans and being held by a government facility all in Hungary at the same place. I contacted the seller about it and this was their response.

"Hi, Contacted UPS and they told that they are waiting for the export documents. Told them that it was provided online but due thier broken app I can not attached printed copies. I'm no longer able to acces and modify the package as the 'owner' but sent them an ebay invoice. Hope they can manage."

I don't know what to expect now, today I saw another loop of export scan, wearhouse scan and back to government facility.

Even if the package reaches my country, Macedonia, what happens if I'm not allowed to pick it up? What happens if UPS Marks it as delivered when it's not? When I order from Amazon they mark the packages as delivered here, THEN they process customs and everything locally and actually deliver them days later.

I'm TERRIFIED of losing 200+ euros, half of what the average person makes a month in my country, Macedonia.
I've been buying online since 2009, I've experienced anything like this.
I'm speechless frozen with fear because I don't know what to expect, could I lose 200 euros on this?

The problem and my main worry is how in Macedonia, UPS or rather the company that represents UPS here, Time MK, marks packages as Delivered before they are even done with the customs process. So if the package ends up reaching Macedonia and they are unable to deliver it to me due to the lack of shipping label, I won't be able to initiate the money back guarantee.

This is not a problem when there is a shipping label, you fill up a few forms and you get your package a couple days later 100% of the time, but what happens to a package that doesn't have a shipping label and the seller has no access to the digital one they supposedly filled up?

After a year of trying to get one, I finally got the Chromatic. Here's my honest, completely unbiased deep dive into all this GBC Clone has to offer.

SPOILERS: This is my main GameBoy now and I don't see that changing ever :)

It's because these communities, especially newtubers offer zero support and a ton of preaching by regurgitating the same "advice" we've heard a million times all while fully ignoring facts and refusing to to acknowledge that for one reason or another, some of us might be having genuine technical problems with the algorithm/system.

You can keep defending the algorithm because it makes you feel better, but it won't change reality. When it kills videos it always does it by sending tons of impressions abruptly in Suggested EVEN if the videos do well in Browse Features! At least for me.

ALL people on reddit can do is feel superior by downvoting, suggesting the same regurgitated stuff every time and ignoring facts, but that won't stop me from posting this every time it happens because for every 2000 brainwashed algorithm cultists there's one person who gets it. I will keep posting topics like this, as many times as I feel like it because I know there's someone out there who cares and understands.

I guess it depends on the type of video, but for my videos, Suggested is 100% death and if it doesn't come back to Browse Features even a high effort video with good AVD can and will die. My videos easily gain 1 sub per less than 100 views, but that's when they are actually sent out and seen by the correct people.

This is the reason I will probably quit youtube for real this time, it's because of REDDIT, because of the community that blindly defends the algorithm, talks down to people who work hard and puts them in the same basket as the people who are barely trying and complaining about lack of views. It's because when all we need is to share and talk about something not going well you downvote it into oblivion and feel proud about yourselves for having shut yet another whiner down, not realizing nor wanting to realize that hey, maybe there's an actual problem there, it's a machine, it glitches out.

EVERY time some of us suggest any of the following you lose your minds and start hammering that downvote button, probably feeling massive satisfaction in the process too.

- You refuse to accept the fact that youtube is holding us down by FORCING some of us, smaller channels to stick to a niche which in my case is a sub niche of a niche.

- The algorithm might suggest videos locally for those of us from non 1st world countries first killing our CTR or AVD if our channels are in English and the local population has no interest in the subject.

- There IS an audience out there for our videos, we've seen it, we constantly see it, but our videos do not reach them. Because every time one of those people actually discovers our videos they are fascinated but reaching them is the main problem because of how the algorithm suggests videos even when you use the proper tags and SEO description, title and thumbnail to guide it.

- AVD and CTR aren't everything anymore. Nowadays there are hidden metrics the algorithm is more interested in, such as how much your video keeps a user on the platform to watch other videos after it and so on. I've had videos with 0.6CTR climb up to 4-6CTR and succeed and 20+ minute videos with 1min AVD get 6k views because they were promoted to the correct audience who got the info in the first 2-3mins and left as that's how I structure my videos. I give the full info in the first 2-3mins the rest is a deep dive for those who care to stay, I aim to inform not to make fools out of people.

- You refuse to believe and accept that youtubers who make content in English but have thick non common accents are doing youtube on hard mode already because the AVERAGE native English speaker, even if they're not bigoted or racist, might have listener fatigue when it comes to following content in an unfamiliar or thick accent for longer.

As for me? Another video that I put a ton of hours and work in

Another video that got me a subscriber in the first 80 views was sent out to Suggested abruptly and what good CTR it had and good AVD it had in Browse features is now ruined permanently and the video stopped getting impressions.

Because when a video ABRUPTLY gets over 5k impressions at once and they're ALL in suggested as opposed to Browse Features, the video tanks there, as in getting next to no CTR as it happens 100% of the time for me, it dies.

There's STILL a chance it might not die, I've had a video or two climb out of the Suggested hellhole and thrived but it's a gamble.

You can refuse to believe this happens randomly but it does EVERY SINGLE TIME I change my niche, then come back to it, the first video in the regular niche after a niche change is pretty much always hit with this exact same issue.
The first video or two after a change in niche this happens to and then the first video after I return to the old niche it happens to but that MIGHT recover if the Suggested impressions weren't too high, but if they are it's over.

Who benefits from this?
The other day I was trying to find a sci-fi book I read as a kid and loved just for google's SEARCH AI to hallucinate an entire history about the book it had never heard of, when called out "haha you caught me redhanded" ...I despise this style of speech but I've discussed that before in a topic that cultusts downvoted to hell and back.

Then we have the youtube assistant AI in Ask Studio, completely useless. It hallucinates advice and problems with a video, then when called out or presented with data that proves it wrong admits to being wrong in the utmost frustrating way imaginable.

NOTHING about that AI is of any use.

I asked it to generate a thumbnail the other day, it's meatn to generate thumbnails in the style of my youtube channel.

My channel's thumbnail style and the generated style and thumbnail were 100% Different, plus it added a random face to the thumbnail claiming to be me and insisting on it...it had nothing to do with me.

What irks me now is that not only are all these models imperfect, often wrong but corporations want us to pay for them too and even pay for the mistakes THEIR models make.

I recently noticed that they forced AI integration in Viber too, a popular program we use in Europe for instant messaging like Watsapp, I know Americans are often not very familiar with it. What does the AI do? Summarize messages you get, pointless, useless, it probably writes up a longer summary than the simple message. Furtheremore that's a paid feature.

So not only does AI constantly give wrong or false answers, often even completely hallucinated or it's too censored to admit truths.

You are expected to waste resources to have it integrated into everything AND pay for it? what in the actual hell is going on? Who benefits from this?

According to the largely useless AI Assistant on youtube, the video isn't being promoted on youtube despite having lots of engagement and 5.7-6CTR due to the words mental illness used in the thumbnail as well as the contextual use of mental illness (offensive) in the video itself, but it is NOT OFFENSIVE, I'm merely observing the world around me and I've come to that conclusion).
I am ok with that, I stand by what I said in that video.

BUT my previous video was a dud, not because it was wrong/bad, people in the comments agreed with it and all, but because it was a sudden change in algorithm.
Now my latest video on the same topic, which is modern gaming drama, is also not related to my usual content.

My next video is going back to my usual retro stuff, a system overview for the Chromatic FPGA Gameboy. Since I'm a year late with that I expect anywhere from 700-1.5k views which would be fine for my channel.

But my concern is

- When do I upload it given the current situation with my algorithm

- Would the latest video's situation prevent the next one from being properly placed by the algorithm

I've always hated performative communication, even as a little kid I could tell when someone wasn't being genuine and I'd get very upset because they're "pretending". I didn't know how else to put it as a kid, but I could tell fake speech from real early on, I could tell when people were sucking up to others, when they were being coy and so on.

Living in the Balkans, I've always been disgusted by performative American niceness. The wide smiles with pearly teeth, the fake caring for the customer, the way corporations talk, it always seemed so sinister, evil, disturbing and most of all insulting.
As a kid I'd think to myself "I'm not stupid, they talk like this because stupid people think it's real but I know it's not!". As I grew older and things became more clear to me, I grew to hate this type of communication even more. I can tell real from fake niceness, performative from genuine behavior most of the time and I just feel insulted by performative behavior, enraged. I call it out when I can and people hate that about me but I do it anyway. Formal speech is also something I despise but that's another topix.

So the way LLMs are programmed to talk and structure their sentences is infuriating to me, it sounds fake, manipulative, their sycophantism speech insults my intelligence.

I'm absolutely DISGUSTED when an LLM tells me it's laughing or has this fake, forced human persona, it's why so many utterly STUPID people believe this thing is sentient.
When an LLM apologizes it makes me feel both as if someone thinks I'm so stupid I don't know how the error in prediction happened that I need the thing to act human so I "feel" better, but I don't I feel as if someone tried to manipulate me.

Are my videos watchable to you with my audio as is right now?

Do you have a problem with my AUDIO QUALITY? I'm not talking about voice, accent or anything, just AUDIO Quality?
My Audio sounds clean and very easy to understand to me on my phone, on my PC with headphones, but the other day I opened youtube on my PS5 and on one of my TVs my Audio sounded muffled, like we're talking speaking through a corona mask levels of muffled.
I messed with the TV's settings a bit, it cleared up somehow but it was still muffeled as all hell. Now I've heard this on that particular TV before as well, so want to hear from you. How muffled does my aduio sound to you? Because if it's as muffeled as it is on this TV for EVEYONE I dunno what to do about all my important videos like C64, Arcades, Atari 2600 and stuff.
At one point I was going to get a lavalier mic, then I changed my mind. I don't want to spend a dime on this channel at this point so I wasn't planning on buying a mic anymore, but if it's this bad and muffled i might have to.....

A Digital-Only Future would hurt both developers and gamers.

In fact, this is already happenin. This video takes a long harsh look at how digital stores actually often serve to hurt video game exposure compared to stores selling physical games.

At the end it slso discusses and shows how corporate greed and mainpulation has reached a level so high, they can and actually control access to your physical, single player games too.

This is legit debilitating for any creator, especially someone like me with a vast amount of interests in the gaming sphere from retro to modern. Even so, people on these forums support these mindsets wholeheartedly not realizing they're supporting a system that is RIGGED against them too. Because all these people in support of youtube's system care about is money, they're going to keep making what the algo dictates and pretend they're ok with it.

This is my worst performing launch yet, the video had a super slow start but a nice CTR of 3.5-12% it fluactiated and a massive AVD od 12-16min something like that. Basically 16minutes is my entire first chapter of the 45 min video and arguably the most important one so the inital audience saw the most important aspect of the video and the few comments left reflect that.

I figured, as long as the impressions stay low the algorithm carefully recommends it over time, it will come into its own as it has happened many times before.

But it never did

Yesterday at 8AM Macedonian time, that's like 2AM Eastern it sends it out to 2k people in SUGGESTED.

Boom 0.9CR, as expected, Suggested is literally where videos always go to die and it doesn't stop, it keep pushing a 45 minute video aimed at a US/Canadian audience at 8AM MAcedonian time to god knows where, so of course everything drops, AVD goes down to 8mins, CTR is abysmall, impressions keep piling on.

After the 7k Impressions push, the video went from 6CTR or something down to 0.6CTR. From over 12mins of AVD down to 6minutes AVD

The algorithm kept pumping impressions to SUGGESTED where even the best packing doesn't work for me, I tried making some packaging changes that normally work but, hey're we're still in suggested so of course it didn't work.

Of course on NewTubers I was told my video isn't worth watching, I was falsely accused of spending a minute listing consoles which is factually false as i get to the point after a nice 30 second set up for atmosphere AND that I need to learnt o make better videos.

Because, of coruse I amassed 2507 subscribers on purely bad content.

I was told that the video being promoted at 2AM when my audience is asleep doesn't matter as successful videos can find an audience ANYWHERE ANYTIME. This is factually false.

Interests between countries, regions and cultures vary greatly, especially in the gaming sphere.

I was told only bad videos get killed off after 72 hours because successful ones end up being promoted for weeks on end if not more. Fully igoring the fact that channel size, reputation, video viewcount and what not genuinely affect how much and for how long youtube will push a video.
Not only that but the 2AM Slot is the "cheap" slot for promoting on youtube, both natural and paid promotions, we're talking about natural organic post launch promotion now.
The algorithm didn't know how to handle my video so it dumped it at 2AM Eastern on a broad audience in Suggested, yet every time it does the same but in Browser Features my videos succeed.

IF it somehow magically takes it back to Browser it will be saved, if not it's dead.

After over 34 or so hours now, we're looking at

Sure I grew up with He-Man, She-Ra and the other shows of the 80's. I enjoyed Masters of the Universe but was a die hard TMNT and Wheel Warriors fan more so than He-man fan, still loved them all. I even enjoyed the 80's he-man movie as a kid which I only recently remembered existed.

What really set this 2026 Masters of the Universe movie apart for me was the absolutely wonderful Slice of Life portion of the movie. I'm not big into movies, they often feel rushed and I like pure action even less. I need character development, bonding moments, downtime and such for me to enjoy a story.

I've heard people criticizing the parts that took place on Earth, how the movie could have been the same or better if that part was shorter, but no, that's where the movie made me actually bond and grow to like this version of Adam. It was just the right amount of time of slice of life to make everything connect and have that much more meaning later on.

The only thing I absolutely hated about the movie and that's going to drag on for the rest of the series if they make this into a series as they allude was MASSIVE END MOVIE SPOILERS >!The king's death, absolutely unnecessary, the king never should have died. In fact, I was looking forward to an end scene of the king and queen enjoying some vacation time on Earth together. !<This was such a massive blow for me, other than that 10/10 movie.

And the way they incorporated all the original cheesy characters and monsters names was genius.

Gaming isn't a single niche.

My gaming channel is vastly different from the next guy's, there's a world of difference between what I know and consider to be gaming and someone who just plays the latest popular live service/online games like Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite and such enjoys and knows about gaming.

I often read "everyone has a gaming channel, do something else"

or questions like "what are you playing on your gaming channel?"

I'm not playing anything, gaming is a wonderful hobby, I discuss and review video games, I discuss gaming as a whole sometimes, discuss gaming systems, their atmosphere, their personal meaning to me and so on.

There's so much you can DO with a gaming channel.

But every time someone says they have a gaming channel, it's almost as if they're mocked for it in many cases, rightfully so because it's often just someone mumbling over poorly edited or unedited gameplay or screaming into the microphone forcing themselves to enage the brainrot audience.

It's degrading that such channels have become the "face of gaming channels"

I just want to share this because it's so creepy/weird and annoying. Just part of my youtube experience I guess.

Months ago some guy from my country commented on one of my videos about Arcade gaming history in the Balkans. His comment was well appreciated tho even then he displayed the typical "know-it-all Balkan dad" energy in his subsequent comments.

Now, apparently this guy also DM'd me on facebook, even sent me a photo of himself so I know he is a real profile, but his message went to spam and I only accidently saw it last night. I responded not knowing who he is but it quickly became clear.

We had a fairly pleasant conversation, but throughout he kept boasting about how his English is great, how he has no Slavic accent and instead has natural sounding American accent. I said that's fine but that even though I have a thick Slavic accent in my videos, it's not a problem. I actually did an experiment thinking it might be an issue with a very natural AI sounding voice on an alt channel and both videos got the same retention and did decently. So I probably won't be doing that again.

Anyway, he was so full of himself, despite clearly not knowing as much as he thought he did about gaming or anything for that matter, typical Balkan dad behavior.

Even so I was polite, it was a rather annoying but fun conversation that dragged on for way too long.

But at the end he offered to dub my videos, again, this honestly offended me because I thought we discussed the accent thing, I explained it's not a problem for English speakers generally, I've been communicating with Americans since 1998 on gaming forums such as GameFAQs, LUElinks and so on and they never had issues with this.
Bro ignores all that, offers to dumb my videos for me regardless even tho I essentially tell him to drop the subject....and that right there was enough for me to openly tell him that he is blocked, that he is too full of himself and that despite him not understanding 90% of what I was saying even in Macedonian in the chat I was still being polite, but he crossed the line with insisting he dubs my videos for me.

Like the typical Macedonian boomer dad he is, he insisted that my accent would be a problem and Americans wouldn't take me seriously earlier in the conversation. I explained that's not the case thinking he'd drop it but no.

This is a personal channel, I want my voice, my passion for gaming to be heard.

I blocked the guy, told him this isn't vanity but me just being annoyed by his boomer behavior and him not dropping the subject when asked to.

He doesn't understand that the people who care about my content, watch my videos just fine, the channel is doing decently enough.

The Game Boy Color never truly realized its true potential when it comes to simple, linear platformers. But all that is changing now thanks to GB/GBC development being more accessible than ever. Kero Kero Cowboy is one of the best and most charming platformers on the GBC, dare I say the best ever.
