When the youtube algorithm decides to kill your video for no reason - probably a glitch - even the built in assistant thing sees this is off...

Video does just fine in Browser Features, youtube does a huge Suggested Push - this happens, I've had this happen. But then youtube usually sends the videos back to Browser features and they do just fine.

My latest video, nope, refuses to send it back to browser features no matter what.

Even tho this is the difference

Source Views Impressions Click-Through Rate Average View Duration
Browse Features 48 616 5.0% 8:15
Suggested Videos 150 10,552 1.1% 4:12

It gave it 10k impressions abruptly, like all at once, so of course this happened, it always happens when it does this.

Why the heck are you pushing it in suggested ffs when it's clearly a browser features video like all my other ones.

These were the initial views, but it decided to send it out to pasture before it even hit 50 or 100 views.

Now here's what happened with my previous video, it initially did the same thing, tho you can't see that in these stats, it sent it out to the stupid suggested and the video's GLOBAL CTR dropped to 0.6, but then it started promoting it back in Browser Features and the video thrived, got a lovely 6.6k views total.

Of course the cult won't allow the truth to be shown, so this topic will get downvoted, but that won't stop me from exposing glitches in the algorithm.

Hopefully today it will decide to send it back to Browser Features but i somehow doubt it

Can a single off-brand video kill my entire channel/ I reviewed a game I'd normally not touch that my core audience has zero interest in now I'm a tad worried

I wanted to talk about the game, give it an honest deep dive, but I don't normally cover this type of games at all even tho I do sometimes cover modern games but not these type of games, my core subscriber base has zero interest in these type of cozy/narrative only games. I'll be back to my usual retro gaming videos in some 10-12 days but could the algorithm get skewed in a bad way by then? Fortunately this new video isn't getting much CRT unlike my other videos which usually keep their CRT 3-6% sometimes more, this one is at 1.4%.

But youtube is pushing it big time so I'm not sure, it also has a 2/10 rating on my channel which doesn't make me very happy assuming the algorithm shifts somehow and is unable to correctly promote my next, retro gaming focused video and it was doing so well promoting all my videos in the past few months.

Everyone seems to be lying about Mixtape, it's neither awful nor the best thing ever - here's an honest, 40 minute deep dive of this lovely but average game- YouTube

Everybody is blatantly lying about Mixtape.

The big gaming outlets shower it with perfect 10's and hateful reactionary youtubers and critics throw cheap shots at the game, some even questioning if it's even a video game.

I wanted to give Mixtape an honest, unbiased review.

So in this 40 minute long honest deep dive I look at the following keypoints in detail.

  1. Can Mixtape even be considered a video game?

  2. I Discuss the story and setting of Mixtape

  3. I Look at Mixtape as a music focused gaming experience and how that affects the story, world and characters

  4. Discuss the game’s visual art direction.

  5. I Address false criticism and give my final thoughts on the game.

I want to take an honest look at Mixtape on my channel, but if I do I absolutely MUST include all the licensed music. What do I do about this? I don't monetize yet (I can i choose not to) but I still don't want copyright strikes/warnings

I'm very frustrated with the current situation regarding Mixtape on both the defenders and especially the haters end. To me it's a mid interactive narrative game that does a lot wrong but also a lot right, especially artistically.

I have no dog in America's political fight, so I just want to give the game an honest look as a gamer for other gamers unrelated to all the drama.

The way I want to structure the video tho, calls for the licensed music, period. Since the music IS part of the game, does youtube not have more relaxed rules for that? It's not like I'd be playing entire songs, it's just showing the scenes without the accompanying music doesn't feel right, especially the way I want to film my video.

I use Gemini for very long sessions, from youtube analyzes help for videos and thumbnails, stats and such. To personal fun lil projects like leading it through all kinds of complex imaginary realities.
2.5 was able to follow these long sessions very well, then it kinda started being dumber and would start hallucinating more even on less than 300k token sessions.

They rolled out 3.0 and it was excellent until a month later when it started being absolute garbage.

Now we have 3.1, started out kind of mid to ok and is now hallucinating or making mistakes at every response, then you correct it by pointing out portions of the discussion it misinterpreted or analyzed wrong just for it to correct itself and give you a long winded explanation of why it was wrong indeed, but that's not helpful at all. I never fully trust LLMs with anything, but this makes it completely useless now.

When it works it can be exceptionally helpful, I had 2.5 translate entire japanese game manuals for me perfectly and what not.

but right now, I can't even rely on it for basic youtube analyzes and advice, it makes stuff up randomly on the spot nonstop.

This is not feedback, just an observation. I want to hear what others think.

ZPF is a side scrolling shoot ‘em up that pushes the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive to its limits. Also released on Steam, Nintendo Switch and the XBox platforms. ZPF is best described as a highly refined Euro Shmup in terms of atmosphere and music with exceptional gameplay. The game has a dose of of Danmaku tho it never really becomes a true bullethell and a pimch of Psikyo mechanics thrown in just to get your blood boiling.

The game does utilize some bullethell design choices in the best way possible, specifically when it comes to the player’s movement and small, well crafted hitboxes allowing for some truly graceful weaving through enemies and enemy bullets.
