The old ones I have at home are a giraffe. They would make cute little desk trinkets without the chopsticks. But also why? Could have had a few different coloured characters to choose from tbh.
Edit: They are cute, it’s just a shame that there isn’t more colors for the same molds even if it’s just vice versa. Kids should get to have options. I would personally be disappointed as a kid if I was to automatically get the pink one with pig tails from a family member because it matched what is acceptable for my gender at that time. (Things can be pointlessly gendered without directly stating it. Like when I got a pink DSlite as a kid when I asked for the black one because my grandma thought it was cuter and more appropriate for me lol)

I want to write a much longer dissertation about this at some point. But I’m a little surprised no one’s picked it up from all the playthroughs I’ve watched so far.
All themes point towards this game being about everyone’s isolation in a rat-race society where the real surface world is so horrible and mundane it’s easy to get eaten by what the internet has to offer. So much so they aren’t sure what’s real or fake anymore and there’s no point challenging the status quo because everyone is so focused on surviving. The dying god being representative of a nostalgic past that’s simply isn’t working anymore and maybe never worked.
You have a circus full of people who have experienced pointless life shattering tragedy coming together to make money off of it and now are so reliant on the money made from their misery they now can’t drop the whole thing even though they have to keep making extreme caricatures of themselves to keep people entertained.
A corporation where the founder is dying on the steps of the monster he made and has been subsumed by the inaccurate ai copy of his brain that controls literally everything. And what does the company do? Uh, be productive for productive sake and work everyone to death. In fact you make more credits ruining lives so the people have to return to you to fix the thing you broke. The credits mean nothing outside this horrible loop where people work themselves into being unwell physically and mentally and emotionally.
A town where everyone is plagued by violence and loneliness, being constantly reminded of the time slipping by. The people in charge are so caught up in being officials because of their own personal hangups that civilians are left to fend for themselves. People want friendship but won’t play tag or go to a party, too afraid to be perceived so they don’t leave their house ever despite looking forward to meeting people.
Everything about the surgeon trying to resurrect the dead god. There’s a lot I want to break down minute by minute to hone my thoughts and these are nowhere close to how I think everything is connected outside the literal meaning of the text but I’d live to hear you alls thoughts.

I’m autistic and the few hairs I get on my face, I just keep compulsively tugging on til the skins red, unless I pluck them. I have 4c hair and thinking of the great battle of ingrown hair pimples happening on my face makes me want to peel my skin off. Both my sibling and my father have a natural body odor that makes me so nauseous and is very strong. Its extremely noticeable to strangers as well but not seen as disgusting as I find it. Being bipolar I’ll admit I get some bad depressive weeks even with my meds on top of whatever autoimmune shit I have going on that drains my energy. I would not be able to wash as frequently and deeply as I’d need to in order to go in public without smelling straight up offensive. I know the reality of what the hormones do and it feels like I’m already barely comfortable experiencing the world in my body. It’s disappointing but I’m understanding where my mental limits are… 🥹
I want the hair and the bones and the voice and the dick but I like my feminine clothing and how my breasts look too much so trying to be masculine in presentation makes me feel as crappy as knowing that people can see my head.

Just curious because I am seeing a lot of hate for the new designs but it’s hard to wrap my head around. If you feel strongly against the designs, could you explain what about the creative direction you don’t like and why? I generally like all the generations, they have their own unique take on the outstanding aesthetics that was popular at the time. Especially when it comes to the hyper feminine. I genuinely squealed because they are so cute, very decora. Anywho, not trying to start fights but I’d like to see it from other angles!

My wife and I have been getting into watching art house and like avanfilms on tubi. At the start we are usually curious about where things are going but not invested. But like clockwork we get to talking about the themes and the discussion is lively and fun and tubi has such a great selection of things we might never know about. Anyway, the ad breaks help immensely between our urge to pay attention and a chance to check our phones. And usually by the half way point we’ve weened off of just having something on the tv while scrolling social media. It’s been really fun.
We’ve also been doing this no wifi or mobile devices (phones/laptop/switch in handheld mode) Sunday thing to make use of the physical media we have and to share books we want each other to read or games we want to play/show each other.
Highly recommend:
Bubble Bath ( 3rd fave ) Hungarian musical about a woman accosted by her best friends runaway fiancé. Sad and fun. Good commentary on loneliness and the people who stay running from accountability. Fun to analyze through feminist theory.
Tamala2010 a punk cat in space ( 4th ) Japanese flash animated 1960s with whatever Bjorks genre of y2k is. Another fun one for feminist theory. A young girl cat is trying to find her mother, she has a yearning and others abuse it. CSA implied warning. Music is really solid. Toonami vibes
Koyaanisquatsi ( my absolute 2nd favourite! ) American. Has me in my feels about the state of the world right now. A perfect study of the Kuleshov effect and those ink blot tests.
Cat City ( 6th place ) Hungarian, animated. Fascinating watch. You have slap stick looney toons squash & stretch and high key fucked up mess.
Hardcore Henry ( old fave) Russian. The most punk rock movie I’ve ever seen. It’s awesome. ACTION flick! It’s pretty gory. It’s in first person so you might get sea sick. But it’s hilarious and legit kick ass. All the characters are top notch.
The pied piper by jití barta ( 5th place ) Czech stop motion pied piper. Haunting and poignant. Gorgeous by the way.
The Care Bears movie ( #1 favourite of all time. It’s not art house or anything but I put my phone down and will watch this movie 6 times in a row while my wife puts her headphones on) American. It’s not very good but it is my heart. It’s so good and very not good. I recommend getting inebriated and watching with friends. If you pay attention to the details and get bluey adult serious about it- it’s amazing and strange. Working on a fantasy sci-fi kawaii-sci? fanfic but I’m getting off topic.
Tubi- put the second Care Bears movie on there. I’m not asking.

I finally saved up and got it! I love it so much and the art is sooooo good🤩
It is 100% polyester and pretty cheap feeling, very shiny slippery, you know the kind. But it’s been softening up with use. I’m aiming to get it to that thin and pilly texture that those 90’s Barbie and space jam kids blankets felt like. You know the ones you find at grandmas house when you have a fever?
I haven’t tried the sheets cause my beds a queen and they wouldn’t fit but I would recommend having a different sheet beneath them, double layer. Just so you don’t see your mattress beneath it. The blanket goes to every corner out our queen but doesn’t go over the edges. This is, eventually, fur sure becoming a bag with a loose cheese slice in the middle. The stitches keeping it together has popped in a few places. But in the middle of having broken ac this thing is amazing. Not too hot, not too cold, if you do get cold you sweat under it. Don’t think it’ll be useful for deep winter AT ALL but good if you live somewhere with quick fire weather in the spring and fall.
I love how the star buddies are dressed like the bears. Such a nice detail.

I might be an outlier here but I’m not a fan of the constant pairing of cheer bear and grumpy. There’s a random bone on one of the clouds. Cheery could be the wolf man! Be her own bear! 😭 feels a little like they made her the bride of Frankenstein cause gurl lol. It’s one of universals biggest monster and not here!??!
Anyway this thing brings me great joy and fits even in our tiny ass washing machine. I like lying in the light of my aquarium lamp and looking at it while all bundled up 🥰
He only looked up maybe twice while he was crossing the road in front of me. The dog was everywhere and his head was down looking at his phone the whole fuckin time. He just kept yelling at him to come here. The dog would trot a little bit before trying to go into gardens and like under a car???
