Added another Sig to the Stable

1911 X-Carry in .45ACP ! It’s my first 1911. I absolutely love it. It’s my 2nd Sig, next to my P365 Fuse. My FIL has one and I got to shoot it and fell in love with it. I found a killer deal I couldn’t pass up and snagged it!

My first 1911

Sig Sauer 1911 X-Carry in .45ACP. My FIL has one, I shot it, and needed to have one. Got a killer deal on it brand new!

Can’t wait to learn more about the platform and start carrying it!

Which J frame for first?

Shot my father in laws model 19 carry comp last weekend, and now I think I’m a revolver guy! Looking for something small to carry to start with, and I’ve been looking at a S&W 637 Performance Center, 642 airweight, 642 UC, or a 442 UC.

I guess I’m trying to decide between the different J frames, and the differences between them? Is the PC worth it? What about the UCs?

Thanks!

Show me your PDP compact carry setups

I have a full size 4.5” PDP setup for USPSA, but it’s a bit big for carry. Thinking about getting a compact for CCW.

Show me your sick setups!

Pic for clicks!

Took our first Waymo last night

And we loved it! as hesitant as we were, we enjoyed how comfortable it was, no awkward conversations with a weird driver, and my Fiancé said she would feel more comfortable taking it by herself than an Uber or Lyft!

It did take us a roundabout way to our destination, but nothing some better mapping couldn't solve.

Well done Waymo! We'll be trying to use this as our primary going out transport for now on!

Slowly coming together

My 4.5” poly. I Just added the ZRTS extended mag release. Waiting on the USPS trying to find my package they lost with my weighted back strap and magwell. Currently also has the ZRTS VSpec, lightweight backplate, +4 mag extensions, and 507Comp Green dot.

Who would ever want to relocate to the US?

Comments include asking who would ever want to move to the US, people who have left the US for other countries, how terrible the US is now, etc.

Maybe the euros having a grand old time in our wonderful country are thinking about it?

Is this USPSA legal?

Trying to get setup for my first match. I know it’s all cheapy mag holders and what not, but just getting started.

Thanks!

Are there any banks like this?

I’m looking for as close to a do it all bank as I can get. Just got engaged (woo!) and I’m trying to find a new bank to be happy with, that I can then setup a joint account for for our bills.

I’m looking for:

separate checking accounts along with joint checking and savings accounts

High yield savings

Round-ups of transactions that can then be automatically put invested or put into savings

Does anything like this exist, or am I better off just using separate accounts for each? I’m just trying to streamline savings/investing.

Switching dominant hand?

I am cross eye dominant. I usually shoot right handed, and have been trying my darnedest to switch to having my right eye become my dominant eye, but I keep wanting to bring my pistol up what feels like across my body more inline with my left eye. I feel like this makes me bobble the dot. If I try to just bring the gun up with my left hand, I feel like I find it faster. This could just be psychosomatic.

In other sports I’ve played, lacrosse, hockey, baseball batting, I’ve been lefty, even though I’m right handed.

Should I work on switching to my shooting hand to lefty instead of righty? Or just shoot cross eye dominant?

I want a Beretta. Where do I start? Halp.

Howdy!

Always loved the looks of Berettas, and holding them in store. I've never shot one. My one hold up in picking one, is the sheer number of different 92 variants. I literally get frozen by the sheer number of choices.

Not necessarily looking for a carry gun, but something I can use at the range, and some USPSA/IDPA.

Thanks!!
