Whats a accurate summary of the INTJ type?

To me all types and what they are is like a vague idea that doesn't really make sense. Like those science facts you've just memorized but actually don't know the science behind.

What's a summary of your type? An accurate one based on how the functions interact together at most times in the intj archetype... Not real people... Just the intj as a human embodiment of a personality type.

How is NIMHANS Banglore,India like for psychology?

I am a 12th grade humanities student aspiring to get into NIMHANS for my M. Clin. Psy.

I've contacted Dr Jamuna Rajeswaran (Amazing lady) in the past who can be called the pioneer of modern neuropsychology and asked about NIMHANS but as she is very busy she gave me the number that only 32 seats (minus region based seats) are selected from 3000 applicants. So it's competitive as hell.

I was not able to get more info as she was attending to me during her working hours. Does someone know what NIMHANS is like for psychology?

I am not asking if its good or bad, I know its good but how is the reality of it like as a psychology student there?

Anime recommendations

I started "You and I are polar opposites" and its nice, something Id watch when I am in the mood for something comfy and cute but I am looking for this specific blend of romance anime thats just a idea in my head. I want a anime recommendation that is a mixture of "Alya sometimes hides her feelings in russian", "yamada kun at level 999" and "Kamisama kiss" if that makes sense... It seems wierd but I dont know how to phrase it.

I want the world building of alya sometimes hides her feelings in russian... Something psychological and competitive but at the same time I want the characters like yamada kun and the couple that gives the energy of kamisama kiss or just a good cute shoujo.

Where can I find this hybrid??

Inquiry about Introverted feeling

So I am trying to figure out Fi. I think it's very hard for me to figure out and more often than not I just dismiss it or mis-judge it.

So how does it even look like in thoughts? I mean...when you see the world alot with Fi how does it feel like to \*\*you\*\*? If its very natural in your thought process then do you feel like its something that is a judging function?

What I mean by "if it's a judging function or not" is that to me...judging functions are functions through which you make the final decision about anything. Even though you may take intuition and sensation into consideration. The final decision always is in either thinking or feelings hand.

So if we are taking feeling and thinking as same judging functions. Do you think you actively pause in every moment to think, here by thinking I mean actual reasoning of a rational function and actively working the situation out in thoughts.

So is it "Okay this is my value or this is something that will emotionally affect me and what I care about so I will take a decision keeping that in mind as the first priority" (at least something like that) or is it not like that and its something like an immediate spontaneous emotion you feel about something which is related to your values and its so fast that you never pause in the moment even if you do afterwards.(I am not saying emotion is Fi but you understand Fi through emotions right?)

In the moment of making decisions you kind of just know which one is the "right" one to you and you make the decision.

Or...is it a mixture of both examples given above? Please think if it's just thinking or if its feeling. I mean if its both then there could be a possibility that you are mistaking thinking as feeling in answering this question as both can give emotions as a result to the person. (I mean...I fail to distinguish the two so...yeah)

It would really help if you would tell me what Fi is to you and how it's like in your thoughts with real life examples.

I don't like dismissing it as it's bad for me and other people around me.

Does this have any logical inconsistencies?

I am making this framework for my own understanding of the cognitive functions and here is a rough idea about it, it's still under construction so I would appreciate it if you were ruthless about the reasons why it's wrong or logically inconsistent and would give me suggestions on what I could add onto it, so here it is:

So the general idea of it is that I want to not group the cognition types Thinking,Feeling as judging and Intuition, Sensation as perceiving because when all those interact together its hard to figure out which is doing the judging and which is doing the percieving as Thinking and Intuition can sometimes look the same(because both are associated with finding some accurate answer of something at times) and the same goes for Thinking and Feeling when you are making a decision. It's hard to know if your value is coming from logical reasons and then you are feeling emotional weight about something or if it is coming from emotional values and their emotional weight and then you are using thinking to add reasons to your value. What comes first gets a bit hard to figure out in your thought process.

So I figured that action oriented definitions wont work here.By action I mean that some outer action in the physical world. Eg. Both a thinking dominant and feeling dominant can be people who advocate for some reason or cause and both will feel emotional connection to the reason.

So to define the actual thought and cognition different from their outer actions I am thinking of creating this simplified framework of HOW they appear rather than WHAT they do. If that makes sense. Of course it is a simplification of the functions but I am not defining the functions themselves but their appearance and the way they look like in your head. Here in this I also dont mean that you can control everything that goes on in your head. Here is the framework:

Active types: Thinking and Sensation

I have added thinking and sensation here because active types in this mean that "The types of cognitive types which require more conscious effort. They are more active in your thought process and it's easier to control the direction that you want them to go into based on your goal or intentions."

Basically, they are more intentional and " knowing through reasons" Eg. When Thinking is involved in finding a logical inconsistency in this framework itself which I am laying out then it will find it through actively thinking the reasons of how its inconsistent and then coming to a knowing conclusion while Sensation would work like trying to remember the data(it's not memory itself but it uses memory) that you know about mbti and then taking the data of everything I am writing in aswell and is more active in knowing because it requires paying attention to what you are currently reading and comparing it to past data. (I figured this fits the active thought process category)

Passive types: Intuition and Feeling

I think this is pretty self explanatory but when you have intuition and feeling they are obviously related to your goal and intentions but its more like that they happen to you and less intentional in your thought process. They appear like flashes in your head. When you intuit something its sudden and when you feel something its passive aswell. It's related to "knowing without conscious reason" compared to the " knowing through reasons" of active types. Eg. When you are using intuition in trying to figure out this framework then you would get those sudden flashes I talked about. You would just suddenly get some idea after reading the first few lines or afyer completing everything and you would be typing out why this is wrong. It doesnt require you to do something,it just happens to you. I believe if you did something which is reading this, thats related to data gathering of sensation and not intuition since intuition without data is possible. When you use feeling to apply to this framework, uhh okay this is hard to apply to this but you would maybe think of some other framework you are attached to and believe in emotionally and deny this one or if others in the comments are saying this is wrong then you will feel like its wrong aswell and go with their explanations affirming them or you will affirm me that this is right or something related to emotions. (Feeling is not emotion itself but related to emotions, yours or others) In this you are acting because the feelings are happening to you. So that fits the passive type.

After this there are active and passive applied to functions but the definition of active and passive changes when it comes to functions, here it is:

Active functions: Extroverted functions (That extroverted dominant person doesn't necessarily always have to be oriented about others as you can use these functions along with other introverted functions to do something for yourself)

Active functions here are related to outer world actions but not actions themselves. They give you "urges" to have some kind of outer world action. You NEED the outer world to get these functions started. So its not like these functions are always related to actions but there is always that urge to have some real world action. Whether you act on it or not is upto you. This is speculative but Id say those urges themselves is data. Eg: When you get a urge to use Te in the outer world you automatically work up the Te along with other functions to figure out the way of doing that action even if you dont perform those actions in the outer world. In Fe when you get a urge to do something for others, even if you dont do that thing, you automatically work up Fe along with other functions in your stafk to figure out what the other people want emotionally.

Passive functions: Introverted functions (That introverted dominant person doesn't always necessarily have to be self centred as you can use them with other extroverted functions to do things for others)

Passive functions can be action oriented but they dont give you as many urges of action as the active functions. As they are internal you will be satisfied by keeping them just in your thoughts until their security is threatened. Eg. Fi being satisfied with knowing that they value emotional honesty and not doing anything outward to show that they value it until someone threatens this value or someone doesn't believe that this is a value tied to their identity or Ti being satisfied with solving puzzles and keeping it internal until their competency or ability about the knowledge of those puzzles is questioned or underestimated or they find some outer logical inconsistency that irritates their internal logic that they trust.

Theres also this combination of all this that I am working on which is not complete yet so give me ideas of how that all could connect please. They are:

Active type and Passive function (Ti,Si)

Active type and Active function (Te,Se)

Passive type and Active function (Ne,Fe)

Passive type and Passive function (Ni,Fi)

Type me based on these contradictory aesthetics I have

I am not giving any context... Jump to conclusions. I'd like to know more about what these aesthetics match more than my own type.

As the title says, the aesthetics (and fandoms) are very contradictory so I would like to know what everyone's perception of such combinations is.

Offcourse these are not random aesthetics and based on me but I do know that them alone wont be able to tell my type.

It would help to see the comparison between my persona type and what I actually think I am so it's not like this post is pure curiosity. (Maybe it is 0_<) It will decide my type or at least contribute to it.

Thank you for responding.

EDIT: So yeah thanks everyone, this genuinely helped alot better than I expected...It was true that Ne was involved.Obviously.I think the Ti was looking like Ni because the aesthetics provided a concept driven person who was testing some hypothesis about one idea but that was actually my Ti realizing I had been too stuck in my understanding of what type I was and I wanted to get others opinions about different possibilities because I didnt like being that sure about it as I hadn't explored everything and possibility of other functions other than the ones fixed in my head. A classic Ti Si loop. I am actually...drum roll

A INTP!!! Yeah I mean stereotypically I look like a ENTP but thats just because its not all that rigid according to me and I value both Ne and Ti equally but at the end of the day I always run back to Ti because Ne is scary. How do you handle the existential crisis of not wanting to or being able to conclude the options you explore ENTPs.I envy them. Anyways so yeah...I will be off to my cave again to explore other types and torture myself with "Am I? Am I not?" until I get back to concluding INTP again. This is the third time now.

Just a random 3 am thought...

(Thought this from the "Are you satoru gojo because you are the strongest or are you the strongest because you are satoru gojo?" quote obviously)

Are we humans because humanity is a spectrum or are we humans a spectrum because we have humanity?

Why doesnt this community have freedom to add images to posts?

I mean memes aren't for this page, AI images are forbidden, etc etc. I understand that much but what about genuine informative images that someone needs an input about? For a personality type that prefers their own intellectual freedom isn't this community a bit too gatekeeping and restraining? There is that flair needed for every person and if it's not there then the flair given is "Warning, may not be an INTP"

How hypocritical is that? You want to explore ideas, create your own logical framework irrespective of the popular beliefs and yet this community has discrimination and segregation regarding other types? Do you guys think only INTP deserve intellectual freedom of speech, etc?

I am not saying INTP specific rules shouldnt be there,I am also not saying its dictatorial. Other types are allowed but why must they face more discrimination and constraints compared to an INTP? This is regarding acceptance aswell.

INTP want to be accepted because of their child Fe but this community doesnt accept others? Is that what I should infer?

People can take this as criticism but I genuinely want to know why this community is so counter intuitive to the core of INTP which is intellectual freedom.

Execution !! My mortal enemy !! I CHOOSE YOU !! (I WISH)

So... Te as a dominant function huh... Must be nice... So nice...

Arghhh howw?! Are you guys just building something new everyday and getting it all done too?

As a Ti dom its so hard for me to comprehend that people exist who use logic to actually change things in the outside world that others dont view as unnecessary.

I mean... I get it, My head feels satisfied enough with just learning and exploring something and building a logical framework about it but actually going out of my way to do something useful about it? Nawrr ewww now thats procrastinated because what the hell would I even do with information about how AI systems heat up water and then the same water is stored underground and then used in winter but then the same water is cooled and used in summer?! Build it in my residence so people can use AI AND benefit from reusing water?! Yeah right.

So... What I am getting at with all this passive aggressive jealous ranting is that.

TEACH ME YOUR WAYS SENSEI 🙂‍↕️

How do you guys deal with stress about other people and their expectations?

What I want to know for the most part is how you treat yourself when there is a conflict happening inside you about what someone did to you and their expectations of you.

Do you tend to define yourself based on these expectations?

Is your self dialogue when you fail to meet those expectations really critical?

Also... Do you tend to set ultimatums for yourself "If I fail to do this then I am a bad person" or something like that.

These all are just my assumptions about ISFJ's based on only one real life ISFJ but one thing that I have noticed is that even despite this harsh treatment of self that person is someone who considers others point of views so expertly.

I usually am more critical of others and when I slowly come to a realization and tell that ISFJ. "Hey wait, that is the reason they are like that so they don't deserve my harshness" Their response is mostly always "Yeah I know"

Why don't you guys treat yourself the way you treat others :( ?!

Or do you?
