Used the pin image and got rid of the background. I’ll have the office laminate it and the little guy can be in my classroom!!

I'm trying to split this model down the middle to print it at a better angle on my resin printer, and to try and keep supports off the main model as the hair is really hard to sand/clean.

I just started learning Blender for this project. I have done this successfully on another part of the model - same reason, bed size. It worked very well, I'm super happy with how its going to come back together!

I got to the point where it's supposed to split and this happend - it splits the main model but does not split the crown. The crown does not show as a separate part on import, and prior to split, it's all one black shaded mass.

I added Rotate and Scale, set the geometry to Origin, added and moved the plane, added Solidify to the plane and made it thin, and then added Boolean-Difference with the plane as the object of division.

I'm not even sure how to phrase a Google search for this - I'm sure I need to merge something?

I’m not printing from an SD card, I’m printing from a usb drive. Printer is not on the network. The print seemed okay, finished, was thin but it was a box I’d messed with dimensions on in the slicer so that’s prolly the issue there. Used Qidi studio as my slicer. Printing with ABS.

I did a test yesterday, needed to turn up the exposure time which I did, and re-leveled the axis, and things are looking good. Cones look fine, water fits, sword fits or does not fit as appropriate. Only thing not coming out on both of these is that the attunement block is only like 5.8 mm where it should be 6mm. I'm not sure how to dial in that last .2 on the Z-axis?

I have a new resin I will need to do this with so want to get this figured out.

I feel like I'm so so close to getting this. My models adhere nicely to the bed, and don't have major failures. I'ms doing great with small stuff so I'm moving on to these bigger pieces and now I want to get closer to "perfect."

This is Anycubic Standard Gray on the default settings recommended by the company.

I'd posted this model earlier but upon getting ready to clean and prime, I'm missing a lot of little things. I don't know why the stand printed bubbled like it did - I hollowed it out with the intent of putting heavy stuff in it but maybe I just need to print it solid? I know it's a lot of resin but it also needs to be heavy to stand the thing up. I was also worried about large areas and the FEP.

Wanda's hair is a MESS. Do I need to re-orient the model to hide the supports better? If I print it vertical upside down it seems like most of the support hits along the hairline where is will be hidden.

I'm not thrilled with the tiny crack in her skirt but I'm hoping maybe when I prime and paint that will disappear? Obs not using a heave filler primer here, looking at the light stuff for minis so as not to lose the texture.

I was so excitd earlier but when I sat down to start the next steps today, I have to admit I was a little bummed. It's a learning experience, right?

This is just dry fit, obs needs some sanding to fit the arms right. I remembered I had a failed print that I can transplant her finger over from. Also prolly gonna run the base on the FDM since it's just a round texutred disc. But with your excellent tutelage, I'm hooked! Need to order primer and paint. Need to find a primer that won't fill in the lovely texture on her clothes!

I've graduated from prototyping plotter pens to printing figures to paint. I'm working on a lovely Wanda but I've now printed her arms twice and twice she has come out with missing fingers. I'm using Standard Anycubic Resin on a Photon Mono, settings and plate layout attached. Should I change the angle of the print? The legs look great and the torso I might do again, I have a lot of scars from the supports but I know what I did wrong.

I did this model when I was first starting out with OnShape and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the heck I did, only that I did it wrong. I'm in a place where I need to change the size of the indicated hole - it was fine on FDM but resin is much more precise and it's a hair too large. It's grayed out so I know it's getting a dimension from somewhere else BUT it is its own sketch so I can't figure out where? What did neophyte me do that is so wrong/should have been done better? I'm looking at the revision history but I cannot pinpoint the problematic add!

Update on last post since I can't put the pic in the reply (sadness.)

It printed great! I may have overcooked it in the cure station (10 minutes was a bit much?) It fits in the pen holder perfectly, and the only problem is that I need a tiny bit of sanding on the end cap and the tiny lip on the end cap did not print. I am going to ink-test it here in a bit, hopefully unlike the FDM pens, the ink will not seep into the plastic.

Follow-up Q: what is the smallest detail I can likey get on an Anycubic Mono? The end should have a 1mm inner rim to help position it. ALso can I get away with no support in the little tube where the nib goes or do I need a tiny needle sander to clean it?

The larger bit is hollow, the smaller bit is the end cap. It's a pen body for a vintage pen plotter. This is my first self-made resin print!
