Question about notation

I am working on a game called Idle Harmony and basically I need tips on how to make this correct.

I have a specific question but I am open for other critiques.

My question is: What happens to the beam/flag if an eighth note is placed bellow or above a 16th that's connected to another 16th?

I made an incremental/idle music based game!

The game is called Idle Harmony, and it will be participating with a demo in the next Steam Next Fest. The full game will be released shortly after.

GAME LOOP

  • Start small: You start with one note, buy upgrades, and generate more notes.
  • Hit combos: Hit combos (chords) for extra multipliers (you can learn how to make them in-game).
  • Unlock instruments: Unlock new instruments that give you a fresh experience each time you prestige!
  • Customize your run: Upgrade your combos using prestige currency, depending on what you'd like to hear that run!
  • Save your tracks: You can save your unique melodies directly to your device!

I made an idle game about composing music

As a programmer, I do not understand sound fatigue very well, so I wanted to ask composers how this could be less annoying while keeping the mechanic?

67 wishlists in 21 days. Chat am I cooked?

The steam page was live while it was still looking unprofessional. I have a youtube channel that got some views on the short I made, but the other socials are completely new and generated close to 0.

I'm looking for feedback. I know a trailer is a must, I need other tips!

The Steam page for my first game is now live!

After months of development, the Steam store page is finally live.

What is Idle Harmony?

An idle music-building game where you don't just chase numbers—you build living musical compositions, which you can download and share with your friends.

Procedural Audio: Unlock notes, rhythms, and unique instruments.

Strategic Balancing: Manage musical tension to maximize efficiency.

Creative Freedom: Watch loops generate income and download your melodies.

Every single wishlist helps immensely with Steam's algorithm and visibility. If you love incremental strategy or indie games, please consider adding it!

Wishlist it on Steam! I would appreciate the support!

I also need to know what your thoughts are and how the page and game are improved!

Stat suggestions for a music idle game

It's my first time writing in this subreddit and first of all greetings!

I am making an idle game where you use music theory to composing music. Notes give you money so you can get more and upgrade your individual notes (1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and full note).

My question is: What are the stats (if you were the player) you would like to look at to keep you engaged? P.s. You can also prestige like any idle game.

The game is called Idle Harmony and its going to be out to Wishlist soon!
