I hope you guys make the postseason again

Was really fun watching this team last season and seeing how an entire country rallied behind the Jays. Not trying to karma farm or anything, I just genuinely thought it was really cool seeing how much the Blue Jays meant to Canada and how everyone seemed to come together behind them. It felt like a whole nation had something to rally around. Would be awesome to see that again and have the Jays back in the postseason.

As confirmed by Jeff Passan, the Giants have called up Matt “Tugboat” Wilkinson. Here he is striking out Cal Raleigh, getting PCA to ground into a DP, and striking out Bryce Harper at this year’s WBC.

Cruz becomes DH when he comes back?

Feel like this is all but confirmed, especially with how important Mangum has been in the 1-hole and playing CF while Cruz and Horwitz were out. Mangum’s defensive metrics are also much better than Cruz’s, although Mangum has the larger sample size since he’s been filling in for Cruz. Cruz obviously has a cannon for an arm, though. I’d like to hear what everyone else thinks about this.

Who’s the first to go?

Ive seen a crap ton of posts saying Kelly out, Ben out, Murphy out, etc. But realistically and logically, who is the first man gone out the door? And when would we realistically expect that to happen?

Just to be clear, this isn’t a rant post. I’m genuinely asking the question. I’m not here to say this guy sucks or that guy is the entire problem. At the end of the day, players have to step up and play better, injuries happen, and the human factor obviously comes into play. I don’t want to be one of those people on this sub or Twitter who immediately picks one person to blame and acts like the entire team’s problems fall on them.

Its looking like Seth Hernandez's season might be over

According to the Pirates, Seth Hernandez suffered a significant left oblique strain in his last start for Greensboro. The current timetable is 6-8 weeks before he's cleared for game action, which almost certainly means his 2026 season is over since Greensboro's season ends before he'd be ready.

Bradenton (A):

  • 3-0
  • 0.96 ERA
  • 28.0 IP
  • 50 K
  • .135 BAA
  • 0.71 WHIP

Greensboro (High-A):

  • 3-1
  • 3.33 ERA
  • 46.0 IP
  • 68 K
  • .209 BAA
  • 1.26 WHIP
