How can I make this effect on painted metal ???

I don't want to use real paints like acrylic and stuff like that and I don't want to use salt, vinager and peroxide to make rust because the metal is primed with Matt 2k primer and very britle so i dont want it to actually rust .... I heard that I can use clear matter acrylic and rust dust and aply it with a sponge and clean it with a rag. How to make it multy shaded like I want it to have more old looking rust some bright rust too and i want tit to look completely natural and how to make it look dirty besides using real mud that i will put on but i need old built up mud too. Base paint is RAL8008 acrylic matte spray paint.

How to make this rusty dirty effect on my Ww1 stahlhelm

Yeah i know i should wear it but I can't, the condition was terrible and it needed a lot of work fixing piting and holes, i even used primer even if i know thry didn't use it during ww1

The primer is matte black so if I scratch the surfice paint it will kinda look like oxidised metal. How do I make a realistic rust and grime paint or effect? I heated that i can use boiled lineseed oil and rust dust or even better clear acrylic and rust dust coat that will give it a more natural rust hue the using paint idk how to make it grimy tho

First Battle Jacket

To begin, the character that may seem a bit racial on the jacket is an artist known as "Lil Darkie" whose using a character based on a god with pitch black skin (i think a muslim god named Kali Ma but I'm not sure). Just wanted to clear that first. The rest are bands I love and mean a lot to me. This was made in high-school with paint and markers so no patches unfortunately. Feel free to give tips or suggestions and have an amazing day :)

Can anyone tell me approximate messurments of m17 chinstrap???

I wanted to order a good reproduction of chinstrap for my m17 Austrian stahlhelm but helmets@seznam.cz has stopped making repros because of hes illness and I hope that he will get well soon, and militaryreplikycz doesn't respond to my English emails( not sure if he is just busy).

So I'm making a thing from scratch i have a lot of 20 mm herringbone twill canvas, metal loops, thin brownish leather, 20 mm roller buckle and a 1910s sewing machine.

Just need the messurments lol

Can i use this old belt as Austro Hungarian m15 roller buckle belt

It was used by my old man during Yugoslav wars so it definitely has seen some combat lol. It has 9 holes, some were custom made after the war. I have seen some belts having 5 some 7 holes so idk i think it can pass. That extra leather loop isn't original to the belt and i can easely replace it.

Can i use this chinstrap for M17 Austro-Hungarian Stahlhelm??? And how much was it used.

Can i use the chinstrap from the first photo on Ww1 Austro-Hungarian m17 Stahlhelm?

Most of the chinstraps i have seen were those from the second photo and the only place that I have seen making a good reproductions is closing because the guy who makes them is sadly ill. Nestof also makes that clasic replica chinstrap but idk i dont like it as much. if someone knows where I can get a replica chinstrap, liner, ventilation lugs and splitpins for size 66 m17 Austrian Stahlhelm that would be lovely
