Need Advice: Two Dentists Gave Opposite Opinions About Impacted Teeth Before Permanent Zirconia Bridge

I’m planning to have my fixed bridge redone, this time using zirconia since it’s intended to be permanent.

However, during my recent x-rays, my dentist found 2 impacted excess teeth above my 2 upper front teeth that never erupted. The planned fixed bridge would run from the tooth beside my left front tooth up to around the 4th tooth on the left side.

My first dentist strongly recommended extracting the impacted teeth first before proceeding with the bridge. According to them, the impacted teeth already show signs of decay on the x-ray and could eventually cause infection or other complications if left untreated.

Wanting to be careful, I sought a second opinion from another dentist. The second dentist said the impacted teeth do NOT need to be extracted and that I can proceed with the fixed bridge as is.

Now I’m confused because the recommendations are completely opposite.

I’ve attached the x-ray photos and would really appreciate insights from dentists, oral surgeons, or anyone with similar experience:

Would impacted supernumerary teeth like these normally require extraction?
Can decaying impacted teeth really become dangerous if left untreated?
Would it be risky to proceed with a permanent zirconia bridge without removing them first?
Is it common for dentists to differ this much in treatment recommendations?

I understand Reddit isn’t a replacement for professional care, but I’d really value additional perspectives before making a decision. Thanks in advance.

IMPACTED FRONT TEETH

Hi po sa mga Dentists here and may mga experiences na sa impacted front teeth then nagpa surgery!

Ang advice kasi ng dentist ko is tanggalin muna yung 2 impacted teeth bago mag RCT and mag fixed bridge kasi magkaka problema raw in the future? and ill be charged for 28k. hindi naman po sumasakit.

Ask ko lang po sainyo:

  1. Pasok ba sa Philhealth ang ganitong surgery/procedure?
  2. Sa mga may experiences, super masakit ba yung mismong surgery? 😭
