For those of you that don't like the heat, tentative signs of a change coming

A bit of a way away yet but there's early signs of a cooler low pressure dominated pattern towards the middle of the month with a southerly tracking jet...hang in there.

Are you still told to "feed through" the steering wheel when you're learning to drive?

When I learned to drive years and years ago, it was said that you couldn't cross your hands over the steering wheel when turning and had to "feed through", feed it through your hands. Is this still a thing when you're learning to drive?

Look like we could be in for a major light show if this comes off. Scotland under level 2 warning which would be severe storms...can't wait!

We could be getting some Epic Thunderstorms over the next few days

Very difficult to model exactly where but most of Scotland will be under "threat" of some really severe thunderstorms tomorrow evening and into Friday. We could be in for some great light shows!

Do people in the UK keep their cars for a shorter length of time than the US?

Thought I'd ask this here because I asked it on a general sub and got downvoted to hell by yanks who were telling me it wasn't true. Anyway, my premise was that in the US they keep their cars for longer than the UK(more miles). You'll hear of US cars doing 200,300k miles but that's rarer in the UK? Is this true?
