When I learned to drive years and years ago, it was said that you couldn't cross your hands over the steering wheel when turning and had to "feed through", feed it through your hands. Is this still a thing when you're learning to drive?

With climate change and the extreme heat waves were facing, has the definition of "were having nice weather" changed? Years ago that would mean a sunny and warm day but now it would probably mean cool and cloudy?

Anyway, my premise was that in the US they keep their cars for longer than the UK(more miles). You'll hear of US cars doing 200,300k miles but that's rarer in the UK? Is this true?
