[FOR HIRE] Retail Consultant & FMCG Buyer | SKU Rationalisation, Range Curation & Margin Optimisation for Emerging & Established Brands

Are you struggling with inventory bloat, shrinking margins, or trying to get your products onto supermarket shelves? Stop guessing what retail buyers want and work with someone who has actually spent years making those decisions from the other side of the desk.

I am an active, full-time Australian Retail Buyer and Supermarket Category Manager who has managed massive product portfolios for national networks of 500+ stores. Over my career, I have bought and managed ranges across a vast array of major supermarket categories, including food, non-food, and liquor. My hands-on commercial experience spans highly competitive sectors, ranging from fast-moving impulse buys like soft drinks, potato chips, chocolate, and ice cream, to essential everyday grocery categories such as toothpaste, pet food, sunscreen, and household storage containers.

Let’s be completely honest: the internet is flooded with "e-commerce coaches" and "marketing influencers" who took a weekend course, learned some buzzwords, and now claim they can scale your brand. They don’t know how retail margins actually work, they don't understand distribution logistics, and they have never had to manage a physical shelf layout. I live and breathe real-world corporate retail every single day. I know exactly how supermarkets evaluate data, why products get de-listed, and precisely what it takes to get a brand on a shelf and keep it there.

Investing in professional range analysis isn't an expense—it's genuine risk mitigation. If you choose to go it alone, the risk is keeping dead weight SKUs that tie up your cash flow, guessing your true margins while inflation eats your profits, or getting rejected by retail buyers because your product range isn't commercially viable. One bad production run or a failed retail pitch can easily cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

The reward of hiring a professional outweighs that risk entirely. Together, we will strip away underperforming inventory, insulate your margins against supply chain shifts, and ensure you walk into retail pitches with clean, bulletproof data that speaks a buyer’s language. You get actionable corporate retail strategies applied directly to your business.

Through my SKU rationalisation and range curation services, I identify and eliminate slow-moving inventory to maximise your capital efficiency. I also streamline your portfolio so you only present high-margin, high-performing items that commercial buyers actually want to stock, while running deep-dive data cleanups to insulate your profits from rising supply chain costs.

For brands with under 500 SKUs, my rate is $225 per hour for flexible, data-heavy analysis tailored for small-to-mid emerging brands. For portfolios with over 500 SKUs or more complex data setups, I offer fixed project-based pricing that includes complete margin protection strategies and a full data cleanup.

Don't let inefficient inventory drain your cash flow or stall your growth. Send a Direct Message today with your current SKU count and your primary retail goal, and let's fix your range and protect your bottom line.

SKU Rationalisation & Range Curation Expert | Retail Consultant

If you are looking to optimise your product portfolio, protect your margins, and secure your spot on the retail shelf, you need an expert who understands the commercial mechanics of modern retail.

I am a seasoned supermarket category manager and retail buyer with a proven track record of optimizing product ranges for a national network of 500+ stores. Having worked extensively with both emerging small businesses and major supermarket suppliers, I know exactly how commercial buyers evaluate data, manage shelf space, and decide which products earn—and keep—their position.

My freelance consulting practice is entirely focused on SKU rationalisation and range curation, helping FMCG brands, sole traders, individuals and retail suppliers strip away the dead weight from their portfolios so they can operate with maximum efficiency and profitability.

My core strategy centers on conducting deep-dive, row-by-row SKU range reviews to identify poor or non-performing items that are cluttering your portfolio, draining capital, and diluting your brand focus. These recommendations are driven entirely by raw data analysis, competitive digital or physical shelf benchmarking, and consumer demand metrics rather than simple guesswork.

The scope of my work covers the entire rationalisation lifecycle, beginning with a rigorous evaluation of your active product range to map out overall performance and margin viability. From there, I isolate the exact slow-moving or underperforming SKUs that are quietly dragging down your sales and distribution efficiency, and benchmark them against top market competitors to see exactly where you are losing category traction.

The final deliverable I provide is a comprehensive, highly strategic roadmap tailored to your business needs. You will receive clear, data-backed commercial justifications for every suggested product removal, line freeze, or delisting. This is delivered via a streamlined, actionable Excel SKU framework that categorizes each product into definitive action steps, telling you exactly which items to retain, refocus, or delist to instantly sharpen your brand quality and boost sales velocity.

I work seamlessly with established FMCG and supermarket suppliers looking to clean up their range before high-stakes retailer reviews, as well as growing small businesses and e-commerce brands needing a corporate-grade retail eye to prune their inventory for better cash flow.

Whether you have 10 SKUs or a complex catalog of 500, let’s connect to discuss your portfolio optimization goals and focus your capital entirely on the products that drive your bottom line.

Let's connect to discuss how we can maximise your product distribution, revenue, visibility and more.

Is anyone else sweating over Group G right now? Round of 32 could get crazy for the Socceroos 😳

Hey guys, just looking at our knockout scenarios after that gritty 0-0 with Paraguay. Tonight is going to be absolute chaos, and I am all for it.

Since we locked in 2nd place in Group D, we are officially playing the runner-up of Group G on Saturday, July 4th at 4 AM AEST (shoutout to Dallas for the brutal early morning kickoff).

Right now, the models are saying there's a massive 60% chance we pull Belgium.

The math in Group G is a total mess:

  • Egypt is top of the table with 4 points and plays Iran. (Side note: I loved watching Egypt's last game, they've been so fun to follow this tournament).
  • Belgium and Iran are tied on 2 points.
  • Belgium plays New Zealand and should win, but unless they absolutely obliterate them by 3 or more goals, they’ll likely finish 2nd on goal difference behind Egypt.

My low-effort prediction: Popovic is going to park the absolute biggest bus you’ve ever seen. Belgium has looked pretty shaky and underpowered this tournament, and they historically struggle to break down a stubborn defense. I reckon we frustrate them into a messy 1-1 draw, drag it into extra time, and then they probably sneak a heartbreaking late winner to make it 2-1 Belgium.

But hey, if New Zealand pulls off a massive miracle and upsets them, there is a cheeky 7% chance we get a trans-Tasman derby against the Kiwis in the Round of 32!

What’s everyone’s vibe? Are we getting Belgium, or is Group G about to completely implode?

I’m a travel researcher—I find the cheapest flights and best-value stays so you don’t have to.

Hey everyone,

I’ve spent years "hacking" travel prices—from finding multi-city flight routes that drop costs by hundreds of dollars to identifying accommodation that includes free upgrades and perks.

I know most people find the planning phase stressful, but I love the hunt. I’m currently opening up a few spots for a Custom Travel Research service to help you save time and money on your next trip.

What you get:

Flight Scouting: I find the absolute cheapest routes and dates (using direct Flight Centre links).

Accommodation Curation: I provide a list of high-value stays, including ones that maximize perks like free breakfast and room upgrades. (using direct Expedia/Booking.com links).

The Itinerary: A clean, easy-to-read PDF document with all your direct booking links.

The Process & Pricing:

Flat Fee: My research fee is $40 AUD.

How it works: To ensure I’m only working with travelers ready to book, I require the $40 AUD research fee via PayPal upfront. Once payment is confirmed, I start the deep-dive research for your specific trip.

No Liability: I am a travel researcher, not a travel agent. I do not book on your behalf. You get to book directly with the provider (Flight Centre/Expedia), which keeps you in control and keeps my fees low.

Most of my clients save more than the cost of the research fee on their very first flight booking.

Interested? Send me a DM with your destination and travel dates, and I’ll let you know if I can help you save on your trip!

Vintage 1950s Pastel Lustreware Deer Cornucopia Vase — Italian (Sicas Sesto Fiorentino) or Australian Pottery (Diana/Wembley Ware)?

No visible identifying markings on the base due to some light historic soil staining inside the planter. It features a high-shine, rainbow/pastel iridescent glaze with a stylized fawn resting against a cornucopia/shell backing.

Trying to narrow down the exact maker or origin. I see a big variation between standard vintage Japanese imports versus mid-century Italian pieces like Sicas Sesto Fiorentino, or even Australian art pottery houses like Diana or Wembley Ware. Would love any insight into the mold shape or glaze style to help pinpoint the brand and an estimated value!
