I’m a 43-year-old dad of three boys. The last time I owned a BMX was sometime in the early ’90s, so it’s been a while. 😅

A few days ago, my 9-year-old middle son tried a retro Csepel BMX from the early ’90s at a birthday party, and he absolutely loved it. Ever since then, he’s been bugging me about getting a BMX alongside his Woom 6.

As luck would have it, someone was selling a Mankind NXS ED Black Freestyle just a few streets away from us. I picked it up for 80,000 HUF (~€200), which is roughly 40% of the original retail price.

It has a 52 cm TT (about 20.5"), so I think the size should work pretty well. I’m 172 cm (5'8") and my son is almost 150 cm (4'11").

I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty fun little father-and-son project. 😅

On the left side of the front bumper, I already had a scratch there from my own fault, so I “fixed” it with “Relax, a Stormtrooper did this.”

This morning, though, I came back to my car and found that someone had nicely scraped it. I wasn’t exactly thrilled, so I needed a little mental gymnastics to make myself feel better.

The Jedi mind trick did the job.

I have a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe MX5 PHEV and I’m trying to track down a strange noise from the rear of the car.

On rough or uneven roads, I frequently hear a dull, repetitive “du-du-duub” / knocking or bumping sound from the rear. It doesn’t happen every single time, but it happens often enough to be annoying.

It sounds like something is moving or shifting, and to me it seems to come from the right rear suspension/wheel area.

I have already tried to rule out things in the trunk:

removed everything from the trunk

removed the puncture repair kit

removed the plastic cover around the PHEV battery

checked/adjusted the rubber stops/bumpers of the tailgate

put insulating tape around the metal part of the tailgate latch

The noise is still there.

I also notice it sometimes when starting from a downhill stop, or when making a small steering input over an uneven surface. This makes me suspect that it could actually be something in the rear suspension rather than the trunk.

As far as I can remember, the noise may have been there basically since the car was new, but I’m not 100% sure.

Has anyone with a Santa Fe MX5/PHEV experienced a similar noise?

If so, was the cause identified? Suspension component, shock absorber, stabilizer link/bushing, brake component, something loose, etc.?

Any ideas would be appreciated before I take it to the dealer. Thanks!

I just got it today. It's quite far down the list. I wrote to them back in November, when I ordered it, asking if I could get the N83 instead, but sadly that wasn't possible. The quality is good, and the bezel action is nice. It's definitely a strap monster. I still can't decide whether it's a keeper or not. 🤷

This MIP one is a dope one, but on a combi V2, it's a beast. 👌💪

This is the only badge I’m missing from the “Getting Started” section.

The description says: “Unlock by visiting different feeds across Reddit.” I’ve already visited multiple different feeds, including the Home Feed, but the badge is still locked.

Is there a specific requirement I’m missing, or is the badge currently bugged?

​I managed to snag a DW-5030-1 (30th Anniversary Project Team "Tough") for a great price recently.

​The glass was completely flawless, but resin rot and 13 years of wear had caught up with the original bezel and strap. The caseback also had its fair share of scratches. Luckily, I was able to source a brand new original bezel, strap, side screws, and a NOS caseback.

​When it arrived, the piezo alarm wasn't working. I brought it to my watchmaker today—turned out the tiny piezo sound spring was just missing after a previous battery change. He dropped a new spring in, closed it up, and the beep is back!

​However, while it was open, we noticed something interesting: the internal module frame has 3229 (China) stamped on it, while the caseback and manual specify 3421.

​I know the 3421 and 3229 modules are functionally identical, but it got me curious. Is it common for 30th Anniversary models (DW-5030) to come with a 3229-stamped module straight from the factory, or was this likely replaced during a past service?

​For anyone who owns a DW-5030-1 and has opened it up for a battery swap: what module stamp do you have under the hood?

I know it's a never ending story, but I think I placed everything necessary.

I have to say, digitals are on the top of my list. Ana-digi era is the best ever, but if I have to choose one type, that would be the all time best G-Shocks, the Squares.

Our home city is very safe, no stolen bikes at all, but you could never know.

After my first week with the Muirwoods commuter build, I can comfortably say it's easily the best bike I’ve ever owned!

Here is the current setup & mods list:

Rockbros mini bell: Small, clean, and surprisingly loud.

Dunlop saddle bag: Simple and subtle, but holds a puncture repair kit, tire levers, and a multitool perfectly.

Lezyne alloy pump: 10/10 for both style and functionality.

Brooks C17 saddle: Runs circles around the stock saddle in terms of comfort.

Shimano alloy flat pedals: Solid grip and great build quality.

Still waiting on a CatEye Quick computer to arrive and a bottle for the Fidlock mount, but it’s already feeling dialed in.
