Hi. Sometimes the amp turns on but doesnt produce any sound, until a clicking sound happens then it starts to work. Sometimes it works instantly other times it takes a few mins to click and sometimes it doesn't click at all. I've read it could be a relay protection device. Any ideas on how to check this?

Sometimes When I turn it on, it lights up but takes a minute to start producing sound after I hear a clicking sound. Other times it works right away. Would this be a bad on switch on the amp? The switch has already been repaired I can see, but maybe it's an internal component that needs changing. Any ideas?

Bought yesterday. Cleaned it. Opened up the amp up to blow out the dust inside. Was working fine before. Now no sound at all. Tested speaker with other amp and it works fine. So it turns on but just no sound at all even when turning up.

hi, my old house has ungrounded outlets, however updated with 3 prong outlets.

1. i have a receptacle tester that shows me that i have an open ground on all outlets when nothing is pugged in. now when i plug things into the outlets and test again, the tester shows correct reading, or sometimes will show dim light, (signifying correct reading) and with certain things plugged it i showed hot and neutral reversed ( = with vintage guitar amp plugged in) . is this cause for concern?

i know when i plug a newer amp in at the receptacle, the reading shows correct reading. i wonder if that amp is acting as a ground now?

2. my vintage guitar amp makes noise at a certain outlet with nothing else plugged in. however at another outlet it's quiet. same tester reading, open ground. not sure what it could be at that specific outlet?

definitely not going to add a ground wire to every outlet. is that the issue or is there something else going on? maybe its just my vintage guitar amps? they're from the 1960's.

However when I touch a metal part on the amp the buddy goes away.. now I'm in an old house and I know the outlets aren't grounded however on any other outlet it doesn't buzz. I have a receptacle tester and this particular outlet gives me a strange reading of open ground and a dimly lit 2nd light that means correct but I know it's not correct. I don't understand that. What's the issue ?

old house, 1950s.. 3 prong outlets but no ground wire. now i've read you can install GFCI outlets, that's first in the circuit that will protect the rest of the outlets on the same circuit. but it's obviously not a real ground.. good safety mechanism though obviously.

what about installing a ground wire (from the main panel) to the first outlet in a circuit - would the rest of the outlets use that ground wire as ground as well?

im asking because im a guitar player and i get a lot of weird hum sometimes. and then when i touch something metal while im playing guitar it quiets down. seems like whatever i touch transfers the noise to ground? anyway, i wonder if adding a ground will direct some of that noise to ground? I dunno honestly.

Super noisy when and without touching parts of guitar. I soldered the wire to back of spring plate to and still noisy..

Hi. I notice quality seems to vary depending on where you grocery shop for meat.

For example, sometimes beef from Australia or Mexico goes on sale. Or ground beef from New Zealand. What do you consider the best beef out of those options?

Another example is that president's choice makes sausages, as well as Johnson and Marc Angelo. Any others? What do you consider the best for sausage?

Another is chicken. I've boughten chicken legs within past 6 months and they were huge. Thought they tasted funny. No idea of their source. I shop at nofrills mostly. Would Metro chicken be better generally? What about Walmart Maple Leaf farms brand?

Just trying to get some ideas on what people prefer and what's best value. Just noticing the quality of meat has gone down within the past year I'd say..
