In the Netherlands it is: “the bridge was open”, which is great, because there are so many bridges and nobody knows when they open to let ships pass. But it’s also used in jest when everybody knows it’s not true. Is there anything similar where you live?

Willem is now 11 weeks, and has been in our family for 2,5 weeks. It’s a joy to watch and help him grow and grow up.

He has now definitely entered the biting phase. He easily gets overexcited and in a biting frenzy: toys, rugs, chairs, a tree, hands, legs, anything. We try to give him as much rest and sleep in his crate as possible, and that helps a lot.

We know the biting will pass, but at the moment I’m hoping to grant Willem a little bit of zen.

And as I’m typing this, I hear him falling asleep in his crate… 🧘
