(If I'm not mistaken) This is Katy's reaction to Michael Jackson's death
Given the date, I'm pretty sure this is her reaction to Michael Jackson's death. If I'm wrong on that, I'd be very surprised

Is the radio edit of this song being played at your 5th grade barbecue or end of year celebration in 2014 a core memory for any of you guys too?
Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Momsen playing these roles in a movie would change lives
From what I understand, hip hop and r&b were the dominant genres of the mid 2000s and what was considered "cool" and most contemporary by most audiences of the time but did genres like rock or even pop punk have a competitive edge during this time in terms of sales and impact on the culture of the period?
I have a scholarship check that I recieved from work. The frisco campus is closer to my home, does this building have a registrar or any kind of financial office that I can drop this check to? If so, are they open on weekdays during the summer and do they accept walk ins?
After watching this video recently, I started to become curious about this. Almost all the teenage reactors (ranging from 14 to 17 at the time of release) in this clip from 2012 (minus red beanie girl) appear very emotionally intelligent and display a strong sense of awareness when it comes to the topic of depression and suicidal ideation, above all showing a great deal of empathy for the victim this video discusses. Is this a positive trait generally found among this cusp? And if so, does it have to do with a specific way parents were raising this cusp as kids or an increase in anti bullying and mental health programs in public schools?
Yes I know what happens to his character (I'm on season 3 now, about to start) but was his end written that way because Santiago got cast as Aquaman in Jusitce League: Mortal (which was due for release in 2009 but was cancelled ultimately) and chose to pursue that opportunity as opposed to more Heroes?
Do you think all that was meant to be surrounding Michael Jackson in the early 2010s wouldve been enough to make up for the oh-so tumultuos decade for him that was the 2000s.
In 2009, after announcing the 'This Is It' concert series in London, Michael Jackson as an artist was back in people's minds after nearly a decade of absence from the by then evolved music scene and divisive public opinion surrounding him. The announcement seemed to be the shot in the arm his reputation as both an artist and celebrity needed with sales of his albums seeing a sudden surge and tickets for the intial shows at the O2 Arena in London selling out in minutes, if not seconds. Tragically, Jackson passed away in June 2009, as we all know.
But what if he lived? Would the This Is It tour have sealed his place in music history and erased any doubts people had around the time if Michael still had it.
It is said that while the This Is It shows would start in London, the show would tour all around the world for roughly the next two to three years, going to every continent Jackson had been during previous tours before concluding in North America (where he hadn't properly toured since the late 80s). Guest performers himself and his team discussed inviting to join him on stage for at least a song included Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, etc. Michael would've also released new singles throughout the course of the tour and a compilation album at some point down the line, though not a full album of new material.
According to his nephew, Taj Jackson, Michael wouldve retired from music after the This Is It tour and creatively shifted his focus to filmmaking together with Taj. Michael also had ambitions to open multiple children's hospitals and create a worldwide entertainment company that included multiple hotels, amusement parks, and expensive attractions all around the world. This wouldve been what he worked on through the remainder of the 2010s to present day.
Given all this, do you think the 2010s wouldve been a better decade for Michael compared to the 2000s? And would children born in the 2000s have had a decent introduction to him through all of these things?
I really hope so. It would be such a shame to lose him to the cult of scientology, given theyre history of corruption, harrassment of ex members, and trafficking. For Dylan to involve himself in this is unbelievable and unforgivable
Paris' sophomore album out 08/21, cant wait!
I think it is, in a way that presents itself noticably and satisfingly perfect. This album is exactly what Taylor promised. A part confessional and part plea to a higher power, much of which she describes as being ripped directly from her diary. Maybe some of you guys disagree and are welcome to say so in the comments but I also feel that every track serves this concept and from start to finish flows like a perfect anothology of events. Dear God is without a doubt one of the most exciting album releases this year and I enjoy having it on repeat as I have.
When I watch interviews and footage of the group from these years, it does seem like burn out was getting to them.

When considering them individually, Kevin left in 2006 citing that he wanted to live a normal life and that he felt he had nothing more to give the group (though he would return 6 years later). Despite BSB continuing as a 4 piece in the following years, I cant help but observe that Kevin may not have been alone in his feelings about the group during these years.

Considering Brian's own words: "What do you do when you're a full grown man in a boyband?" from the documentary, its easy to tell Brian never saw himself doing this for the rest of his life and its easy to understand why. When Kevin invited him to join the group in '93, Brian mustve assumed this would merely be a few years ride before he would move on with his life. The pandemonium that were the Millenium and B&B cycles were probably as far he believed the group would go. Besides, outside of the group he was never truly about that pop/rock star life either. When I observe him in interviews and some videos during the Unbreakable or TIU eras, he appears bored and uninterested like hes just going through the motions. When he released his solo record in '06, he appeared much more laid back and at ease with the whole rollout.

As for Nick, he too seemed like he got burnt out with keeping the group going so long. It partially explains why he would make solo material during his time away from bsb. Hell, of the 5 hes the one with the most solo projects (though Alex may be soon to catch up). And like Brian, Nick seemed a bit more passionate when promoting those projects than he did Unbreakable and This Is Us. In a deleted scene from the documentary, he voices his frustrations with the routine of recording songs other writers give the band, struggling to connect with the music this way. If you gave the Nick of these years the option to a guaranteed successful solo career, I think he wouldve taken that in a heartbeat.

As for Alex and Howie, I think they made their peace with the fact that their success will always be tied to Backstreet during Never Gone and have been fairly chill with it ever since.

Collectively, I think starting from the Larger Than Life residency shows + the DNA era and onward, all 5 of them came around and have genuinely all enjoyed keeping the bsb legacy going. In 2026 alone, they all appear much happier than before and seem proud of what theyve built together and truly mean it when they say they wish to keep this going for as long as they can.
I applied for the pay in 4 option on a book and the paypal shows me that the first payment has already gone through and it was 16.20 (after tax), charged to my debit card. However, when I checked the transaction on my actual bank account, it shows me that the amount charged was 14.97, which is what the installments were showing before tax (should note charge was made just now and has the "processing" label on it).
Is it normal for paypal and your bank account to show two slightly different amounts when doing the pay in 4 thing? After my bank processes the transaction fully, will it show as 16.20 on my bank account? Im just really confused and would like to know. Thanks
The only one that could possibly compete in my opinion is Fastlove. This seems like the one video where he really threw everything at it
I think people who have only come to know Sabrina as a result of her recent success tend to overlook the fact that she was once a teen actress on a Disney Channel series and like other acts before her, she had to face her share of toxic behavior from older figures in influencial positions and fight through emotional struggles as well. And with more and more ex childrens tv stars speaking about being overworked and mistreated so young, my heart breaks for young Sabrina and Rowan. Whats even more troubling is this likely is not the only occurence of Michael Jacobs toxic behavior on that show.
This makes me perfectly understand why Sabrina doesnt frequently speak about her days as a Disney Channel actress. If she ever chooses, in her own time, to speak more about her experiences like this I'll definitely support her in that all the way.
Ive always loved this song and Ive never been able to find any real confirmation on this (at least that I can remember)
If it was indeed written as some romance or love track for Lady Diana, I find that quite unique and curious. Its not really something I imagine a pop group or artist would do. For example, if I'm not mistaken, I dont think any male American artist has ever written a song for any former first lady of the U.S.
