Posting because it's a general psa and to the woman on this forum and I just read this morning on this sub or a similar one but now can't find, a young woman was sexually assaulted basically, she mentioned in a public place a man stopped her to speaking in Spanish which she didn't understand, was pointing at the back of her pants or shorts where there was a white stain, she went to a nearby bathroom and realized what it was, was very upset and strangers helped her get a change of clothes, and reporting it to cops just made them laugh.

I'm not assuming this was a case of tagging/sharing but it's unusual to hear about this happening so publicly. Just keep aware of what guys are reading online and being influenced by.

The company's saying, "Trump media technology group today announcing Truth API, a new business to business data feed that provides licensed, real-time access to posts from the highest ranking Truth social accounts."

This is something that is relatively standard in the social media industry, but it means that institutional customers can buy high speed access to a data feed from that social media platform.

They go on to say that "TMTG anticipates that truth API will be available to institutional customers beginning August 1st. The company has already signed up customers ahead of the launch, and is onboarding additional partners in the weeks ahead."

Now, this is going to attract some attention, of course, because the president uses truth social as his main way to convey his thoughts to the world, and of course so many market moving ideas and thoughts and reactions from the president on that platform.

Now institutional investors will be able to buy that kind of early access to it and trade in milliseconds based on whatever the president is saying in real time. So that will generate some controversy and probably some criticism from some folks who say, this is the president monetizing, in effect, what our press releases from the White House, in order to make money for his own company.

Nonetheless, we should say, again, it is a standard practice in the social media industry, and this is a president who owns a social media company, and has to be said, throughout that he doesn't see any conflict of interest in that.

Carl Quintanilla: Yeah, I mean, I would point out a lot of the content that the president himself reposts is not market moving. Right. Whether they are videos that show, you know, show the Obamas as apes or whatever... Although this is the highest level for DGT since April.. I do wonder, too, what happens to the value of that feed when he leaves office?

Eamon: Yeah, I mean, that's a real question. You know, is there value to truth social at all without Donald Trump on it or without Donald Trump as president on it? I mean that's a real question I think that the company's gonna have to answer in the coming years. So if you're an investor looking over the horizon, you might say there's some real, you know, troubles coming for this company once Donald Trump leaves office, but if you're looking at it for today and tomorrow, and in the next week, you might say, hey, this is a big new revenue screen for this company in the short term.

I was contacted by/seen an advertisement for residential-testers.com. I do not know the people behind the website personally. The company claims to provide a testing service using devices installed at users' homes.

WHAT:
I signed up on residential-testers.com using my real information. They sent me a Raspberry Pi 5 (4GB RAM) with a passive cooling case and a 32GB SD card.

The idea seems to be that I connect the Raspberry Pi to my home network and they pay me monthly for allowing them to use my residential internet connection.

I have not connected the device yet because I am concerned about security risks and whether this could be used for illegal activity.

WHEN:
I saw the advertisement on Reddit recently and signed up shortly afterwards. The device arrived after registration.

WHERE:

WHY:
I want to know whether this is a legitimate market research/testing service or if this is a scam or a risky service that could abuse my residential IP address.

HOW:
I have not paid them any money. They sent the hardware to me. They appear to make money by using residential internet connections, but I do not fully understand what traffic will go through the device or what they are doing with my connection.

Questions:
- Has anyone heard of residential-testers.com?
- Is this a known company?
- Could this put my IP address or home network at risk?
- Is there a safe way to test this device (for example using a separate VLAN)?

Need some serious digging on this one. Eyes on the actual stations, stealth chats with employees or managers or tracking fuel tankers will help.
