Hello! I’ll be traveling to China on 15 SEP. I have a question to the group about TWOV, but this relates to an L visa.
Can I obtain the tourist visa from the embassy in DC? I assume you need an appointment, right? How far in advance do you need to make the appointment? What do you need to bring or provide? Thanks!

Fly DTW-DFW-HND-PEK. Depart 15 SEP, arrive 16 SEP.
19 SEP Xian
21 SEP Shanghai
Fly SHA-SGN on 25 SEP
First question: Does this qualify for TWOV? I think it does. I’m staying in tourist areas and I’m in China for exactly 10 days.
Second question: Do I need or can I get a pre-authorization or something I can show in DFW (AA) or HND (JL) to make it smooth?
I’m pretty comfortable but DW is not so much. It would save me several hundred dollars. Thanks!

Lost a USTA match yesterday 4 and 5. Close match, lots of deuces, blah blah. My partner was a lobber/pusher who is very fast and covers the court very well. He can usually get the ball back in play. Yesterday was a lot of short lobs that the net guy was putting away. Not big overheads, but well placed shots. Question: how should I play? If I play back we get burnt by angles. If I play up I’m barely deflecting shots at my chest. Open to suggestions.
