Thinking of starting a meme brand account for an app, should I do it?

I don't like marketing. I have a platform with product-led growth (e.g. users invite other users) to share group photos post-trip or after an event/activity

I was thinking of making a relevant meme-like account for my brand. Something like "When the trip is over and now you need to share the group photos" with a well-known meme or something like that. My target audience (e.g. frequent group travelers or organisers) would prefer looking for group activities or destinations over how to share the photos... On top of that, my competitors IG pages are not a big deal, nano or micro accounts with very few likes or engagement metrics... So yh I'd find it more enterntaining "meming" over establishing content pillars for the audience and all that

What do you think? Anyone that has done this before and can share the experience? Thanks

How do you correctly outreach micro influencers in TikTok?

I am new to outreach. I do not like it I have to say, but I need to get the job done. I am looking for frequent group travelers or group coordinators micro-influencers (>10k followers) to promote a platform to share post-trip photos easily for groups. I started with making a list, which took way longer than expected. Then, I tried reaching out to one individual, but TikTok blocked my message. I'm even using my old personal account T_T. Now I feel a bit lost on how I should reach out to people. Any tips or standard method?

Muchas gracias =)

If you still use blogs, what are your favourite travel blog you still use today?

Honestly when planning a trip Google Map and blogs are my to go sites (yes I prefer it over AI), does anyone do the same and have to-go-to travel blogsites?

Marketing and distribution is challenging. Any advice? Here's what I've tried

Not long ago I launched a platform to share group photos easier (like Tricount or SettleUp, but for photos - share the link, share the photos, and download what you want) for frequent group travelers (especially on Android where you feel more the pain). This month I started the distribution/marketing and it is challenging. Before I go into detail this is what I've tried so far:

 1. ✅ Shared with close friends (that's how I got my first 10 users and feedback)
 2. ✅ List in directories
 3. ✅ Shared my story and progress in communities
 4. 🟡 Create hook-demo videos for social media (made a bunch of hook-demo videos, but this is a pain I don't like...)
 5. ⚪️ Create blogs to boost my SEO
 6. ⚪️ Possibly paid ads

Today I am 33% towards my goal of 100 users by end of this month (or next). Honestly I started posting videos 2 days ago, but it is something I don't enjoy doing so sometimes I get frustrated, but even I learn a lot from social media when it comes to platforms I could use.

The good thing of my platform (called ShareThePic (.app) btw) is that it's organic product-led (i.e. users will invite more users naturally to share pics as a group). But starting is challenging... Not sure if you have any advice or additional ideas I could try, that's why I'm making this post

Time to make short-form videos for my webapp. How?

So I reached out the content creation phase of my marketing plan involving hook + demo videos. The thing is that I'm not an influencer nor a videographer so I have no idea how to create these or look for inspiration

Any tips or experience from anyone?

PD: I already got my first users through more natural ways (reaching out, friends of friends, relevant communities, etc.). The idea/product is a webapp to share group photos among Android/iOS friends (e.g. after a trip, without depending on WhatsApp or drives)

I'm struggling so much here or maybe I'm complicating it. I'm looking for people travelling as a group or who has recently been in a group trip. Apart from group travel apps/activities (which are financially not feasible), I cannot think of other places where I could find them. Yes, I could make a post in travel communities, but that looks spammy and most of the cases not allowed. Any ideas or tips?

PD: The product is ShareThePic (.app) - to share group photos easily among Androids and iPhones

I launched ShareThePic (sharethepic .app) this April 2026 because I kept having the same post-trip frustration: me on Android, friends on iPhones and other Androids, photos ending up on WhatsApp compressed and out of order

I just wanted a product where one person creates a trip group, shares a link, everyone drops their photos and videos in, and everything auto-sorts by the original capture date (not upload date). You then see who uploaded what and when to download whatever you want while keeping the original timestamp for your album/gallery

What went right: The core flow worked. People could join via link, upload, and the date-sorting did exactly what it was supposed to. I tested it with friends in two different trips and they really like the UI/UX, its purpose, and provided very valuable feedback which I was able to implement

What didn't work as hoped: I underestimated how much distribution planning I should have done before shipping. Sharing it cold is harder than I expected. The product is very specific - it clicks for people who've felt the pain, but it's invisible to people who haven't. Loads to do regarding marketing and distribution

What doing in week 1 to find users: I have a whole flow (you can tell me your thoughts): List in directories > Share my story and progress > Create hook-demo videos for social media (pain because I'm bad at videos...) > and Engage with those facing problems I could help solving. I am even thinking to target people who are mid-trip or just back from one (they're the most primed to feel the problem) maybe by reaching out on groups or communities or DM. No paid ads, just trying to get 10 real people to use it on a real trip and tell me what breaks

One question for this community: For those of you who've launched something with a very specific niche use case, how did you bridge the gap between "people who instantly get it" and "everyone else"? Extra one: How did you get your first 100 users?

The Product: ShareThePic (sharethepic. app - just launched April 2026)

The Problem: Sharing photos after or during a trip with a mixed iOS/Android group is a pain. Always bouncing between Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, WhatsApp, you name it... Most photos are not even sent on the day, but rather at the end or after the trip so you end up with an unorganised album which is a pain especially if the trip is a long one

Who is it For? Travel groups and/or the "trip organiser" of the group who manages itinerary, expenses, media, etc. Usually Gen Z or Millenials

How it Works?

 1. Someone creates a group and shares a link (no app required!)
 2. Everyone drops their photos and videos there as the trip goes on or whenever
 3. Everything is auto-organised by the original date the photo/video was taken, not when it was uploaded
 4. When you download, the original date is preserved in your gallery so nothing gets reshuffled
 5. You can see who uploaded what and when, and pick exactly what you want to download in case you don't want someone's photo session

Totally FREE! Only pay if you need more storage or time to keep photos in album

How I Earn Money (or try to)? The platform is free, you only pay if you need more storage from what's offered for free (15GB) or need more time to keep your photos in the platform (limited to 3 days). Payments are per-trip, so it's very on-demand. Costs are low since I automatically delete the photos (after several warnings) few days later as storage will be the highest cost

Why Me? Because the other alternatives are WhatsApp, Google Drive, OneDrive, or some random one with either compression issues OR limited-storage issues for one of your peers. Other platforms are also more limited or targeting to event venues or weddings so I literally made this to solve my own problem and now I want to see if it solves other people's

I always travel with a mixed iOS/Android group and sharing pictures is brutal. I bounced between Google Photos shared albums, Dropbox, OneDrive, WhatsApp, you name it. I wanted to make something as easy as sending a meme through a link so I made ShareThePic.app for travelers or fellow trip organisers

 • No app required (share a link to the group and anyone can share)
 • No compression (full-quality always when you download)
 • No mess (everything is auto-organised by original date the photo was taken)
 • No gallery mess (when you download, you will see the original date taken. So even if the photos are shared after the trip, your gallery should be in sync)
 • No permanent storage (make the group, share the pics, and it will dissapear after a few days. Unless you want to keep it of course)

I used it for two trips already, now I want to grow it to see if it solves someone else's problem just like it solved mine. Would you use it?

I'm an Android user. Some of my friends are on iPhone and others on Android too. Everytime I travel with friends we have a WhatsApp group where all the photos as sent (not idea) or some random drive not everybody can use. That's why I build ShareThePic.app!

I used it for 2 trips so far and literally just officially launched it this month. Now, I would love to grow it even further which I see it's not an easy task...

So far my plan is to list it in some directories and them promote in social media (i.e. Instagram and TikTok), which I'm not looking forward to because I do not know how to make videos T_T... If you have any tip on the marketing based on your experienced for marketing just launched products I would love to hear it! As well as any feature requests or feedback for the webapp ;)

The Problem

I'm an Android user who likes travelling. Some of my friends are on iPhone and others on Android. Every time we travel together, sharing photos is a pain. We'd either dump everything on Google Drive or OneDrive (if someone had storage to spare), or end up sharing everything onto WhatsApp. Most photos are not even sent on the day, but rather at the end or after the trip so you end up with an unorganised album which is a pain especially if the trip is a long one

The SolutionShareThePic.app

How it works:

This month and for the rest of the quarter I plan to focus on the marketing. I got my first 10 users from friend trips actually. But let's see if I can make it from 0-100 soon and share the journey =)

If anyone else has had this pain or solved it a different way I'd be curious to know too!

▲ 64 r/PowerBI

Final Score: 820

Total Questions: 56 (split into two sections: one general knowledge questions (44 general knowledge + 6 yes/no questions); and another section with one case study and 6 questions for it)

How I Prepared

 1. Started with this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tfk3ae0qz3A - which goes through pretty much everything that appeared in the exam and is very introductory to PowerBI
 2. Built 2 simple reports in Power BI. I used data from easy sources like Investing .Com just to get myself familiar with the interface
 3. Completed a couple of Learning Path Modules (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/browse/?filter-products=power&products=power-bi), especially those with that were completely new or didn't fully understand from the above video
 4. Took multiple official practise exams from: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/exams/pl-300/practice/assessment?assessment-type=practice&assessmentId=48 - by multiple I mean 5-8 until my score was above 90% and I was already familiar with the answer
 5. Took some free exam practise questions from online sources (just Google and you will find loads usually 20 questions long)

Personal Tips

 • Leave at least 30 min for the case study as it has a lot of reading material
 • For each case study question, start by reading the question then trying to find the context you need. Rather than reading through all first and then trying to find it again
 • Read 'Yes/No questions' requirements and solution carefully as they are tricky. You don't need to find the best answer, just the answer that works. I got 2 sets of yes/no questions with three different scenarios for each question so they kind of quick to go through
 • The exam is not just about Power BI Desktop, but above all the power services and connectors (e.g. Power BI Service, Power Query M, DAX, data sources, Power Editor, etc.)
 • Practise, Practise, Practise! Repeating multiple practise exam is what helped me the most. I will memorise the answers or become familiar with them as soon as I saw the question. I believe I saw around 5 questions from practise exams that appeared in the actual exam
 • The exam covered pretty much everything from the Exam Readiness Video, but I would suggest becoming very familiar with roles, RLS, AI features (Q&A, Analyse, Decomposition Tree), connecting to data sources (on-premises, SharePoint, folders), relationships and storage models... all this apart from just preparing data and visualising it of course

Extra: I also made Gemini make some quizes for me using the Canvas or Guided Learning tools. You can do this with any other AI of your choice pretty sure, so yh good luck!
