Ryosuke Yamada Red.Y in Taiwan merch sold out immediately

I'm so frustrated! Lol. Was able to get on the site and add things to cart since I didn't expect it to sell out right away.

They just opened pre-orders today and was supposed to be on sale until the 24th but it only took a few hours and everything's out of stock.

Didn't know he was still this popular in Taiwan. I'm hoping they add more stock before his concert in September because I will be livid if I don't get an overpriced shirt and keychain lmao.

31 [F4A] Parallel Work on Discord?

The grind doesn't stop kahit lakas ng ulan huhu. There's so much to do but I can't bring myself to work.

Anyone up for chika/co-work while we're stuck at home?

No real preferences as long as you're respectful but hopefully working din so we can be productive together.

Stay safe in the rain!

Edit: Didn't think I had to specify this because of common sense, but please send an intro. I would never add a random person without context.

Gloriett Food Court

Is it still closed? Any recos for where to grab a meal that's not the usual MusashiMaru. Kaya, Mo's, Japan town, etc.

Will be dining solo lang so want a hot meal and somewhere relatively quiet.

Escilatopram Rx

Do you still need a doctor's prescription for escilatopram? Was on it for a while but got weaned off, but considering getting on it again.

I know I should get a prescription from my doc parin but he's unavailable for the next few weeks.

Last time I bought kasi they never asked for the Rx na, but this was a little over a year ago.

How many pieces should Hand Carry Luggage be?

>

>

This is CebPac's policy but I think the same/similar naman across most airlines. I want to be

I've been travelling for a while na and I usually bring a backpack (not small, I'd say mga 18L - 25L? It's my usual office/laptop bag) for electronics + 20in luggage.

Maybe I just lucked out kasi I've never been on a flight that's as strict, but I also want to be sure. My backpack doesn't fit all my carry-on items eh, so toiletries and everything else goes into the luggage.

Ano ba yung tama?

Best day to get the touristy shit out of the way?

Obviously expecting crowds for places like Taipei 101 and Chiang Kaishek Memorial, but when's the best time to go where it's not absolutely swarming? I arrive on a Friday, so wanted to get those done, but thinking if I should save it til Monday instead.

Also planning to visit Raohe Night Market on Friday since I wanted it to be "alive" but realized it might be too crowded/not enjoyable. Should I go on a Saturday/Sunday instead?

Where to meet people?

Not in the dating/hookup kind-of sense so no Bumble or Tinder recommendations, please.

I've tried a few discord servers, the nomad app, but just to meet friends, have drinks and party. I don't mind hanging out in groups but nothing too big/crazy.

DIM: Jimny in the City

Thinking of getting a second-hand car for a daily driver. May family car naman kami but I don't really drive. I also don't want a big SUV/family car for when I go to and from the office.

I've always liked the Jimny for how compact it is. Office and errand car talaga. Considered cars like the Vios din but I also like the Jimny's height para di naman lubog agad sa baha.

DIM me please. Not necessarily sa Jimny lang din, but also on getting a car in general? Worth it parin ba if I take out a loan/get it financed? It's gonna be my first big girl purchase kasi.

Taiwan before 6am?

I land in Taipei around 2-3am, assuming I get through immigration before 4am, is there anything to do? How nice is the airport? Would I be able to stay there until the MRT opens?

My hotel doesn't let me checkin til 3pm so I'll probably leave my luggage somewhere for lunch.

Cheapest/best-value and senior-friendly SEA vacation?

Hello! I want to take my parents out on a vacation this year, since they're getting older.

What's a good place to go to with them + my siblings I've been to SG and TW, but I worry na it's not the best experience kasi puro shopping and/or lakad sya.

I'm open to other places din since I also want to explore SEA more, but kinakabahan ako kasi it'll be new to me din. At most we'll be there mga 5 days lang. Considering mga Nov/Dec pero flexible naman yung dates.

KKB pero di nag-b-B

Kumain kaming magka-officemate sa $$ restaurant nung weekend kasi kakatapos lang ng stressful event, and I offered to pay the bill para mabilis na yung bill out. Sinend ko naman agad yung hatian together with my bank deets.

My fault for thinking that people would actually pay up. Never gonna offer to pay again.

Starto/HSJ discord?

Is there an active community on Discord/Twitter/X for fans to talk? Going on an upcoming trip to see Yamada and weirdly, there's not a bigger online following or community discussing his asia stops.

Might be due to the language barrier but hoping to find some who are also flying in so I can make friends!

Taipei Music Center venue

Hi! I'm attending a concert here in few months and I wanted to ask how the experience was queuing/entering? Is it a regular concert venue?

What's the usual concert etiquette? I hear the Taiwanese crowd isn't as rowdy, which I don't mind, but do they discourage singing along?

If I'm going solo would they also find it weird if a foreigner asked for help taking photos with the background/venue?

My seat's somewhere in the 3F and I originally didn't mind but then I realized I probably won't get any confetti. Do they allow people in the upper floors to come down to the ground/VIP area after the concert?

Global Smiles Dental Clinic BGC

Has anyone tried going here? How are their rates for wisdom tooth removal, root canal, etc.

They're currently accredited with our HMO and I have extensive dental work needed. Not everything is covered so I expect to pay out of pocket.

I have a lot of teeth problem (due to money + general anxiety) so I'm really hoping na they're a good clinic to have a relationship with. I know it's too late to "invest" na in my teeth, but I want to avoid any further issues pa.

Taipei solo buddy

Hi everyone! I'll be visiting Taipei sometime in September, first week. I'm looking for a travel buddy for a few days, mostly for the really touristy spots.

Planning to book a car/tour service that was recommended by my friend. The driver speaks English and can take photos for us but I would also like to travel with another tourist, especially for food/drinks afterwards.

Is clubbing/bar hopping safe when solo?

Planning a solo trip in early September. Just a few days, but will spend the weekend in Taipei. I'm an introvert but I like going out to drink and party.

Is it safe to go out by myself as a solo female traveler? Not planning to get wasted or do anything crazy, just some whiskey/bourbon at a fun bar or speakeasy.

Is there a way to meet friends? Not looking for anything romantic or physical, but wouldn't mind some company if I can find people to get along with. Is Bumble Friends a thing here?

Recos for travel hair dryers

Hi all! Baka may ma-reco kayo ng travel friendly hair dryers or brush. Using the Philipps Essentials for day-to-day (although I only really use it when I'm in a rush) na kasya naman sa hand-carry but it's a bit noisy.

First time considering bringing one for travels, pero got burned na when I booked an Airbnb and their "hair dryer" was weaker than my JisuLife haha.

Lovito Boots - Comfy or nah?

Hi! Has anyone tried buying boots na from Lovito? How comfy are they?

Was planning on buying a first pair of boots for an upcoming trip. I'd prefer to try them on in person sana, but when it comes to clothes happy naman ako with their quality.

There'd be a lot of walking but I plan to use this for events/a concert lang. Likely rainy season din nun, so while I don't plan on using them as rain boots talaga, I'd like to know if they're durable enough to be used talaga.

HELP! Virtual account payment for TicketPlus

Hi, I'm from overseas and I was trying to complete my ticket purchase. Had some issues with my credit card so I was redoing the purchase screen

When I tried purchasing again, I seemed to have clicked the Virtual Payment account method instead (translations were being wonky and I clicked the wrong box T-T).

When I clicked next it showed me bank details instead of the usual fields to input my details and now I'm not sure what to do.

I reached out to customer service but I don't know how long they'll respond. Payment is only until tomorrow too so I don't want to lose my ticket huhu.

Can I just pay via bank/wire transfer?
