NY NewFest Pride VIP Pass question on on rush screenings

Hey everyone, festival newbie here with a quick ticketing question!

I bought a 2026 NewFest Pride VIP Pass, mainly for the reserved seating perk, and used it to secure a ticket for the Stop That Train opening night premiere. But the festival website now lists the screening as “ON RUSH."

I’ve never dealt with festival rush lines before, so I’m a bit confused. Does my VIP ticket guarantee me entry into the theater, or does "On Rush" mean my ticket just gives me the right to join the standby line? Also, how does the "reserved seating" aspect actually work if my digital ticket doesn't have an assigned seat number?

I tried reaching out to NewFest via email and socials but haven't heard back yet. If any past VIP pass holders, NewFest veterans or festival experts could break down how this works, I’d super appreciate it!

What song would you like to see lipsynced with and which 2 queens would battle on it? Sasha V and Willow P would eat this song.

What’s one song you need to see as a LSFYL, and which 2 queens would absolutely eat it?

Mine is “Like a Prayer” by Madonna with Willow Pill vs. Sasha Velour.

I feel like both of them would approach it with restraint instead of trying to stunt all over the song. Sasha would give the theatrical emotion and storytelling, while Willow would bring that weird, haunting vulnerability she does so well. It would feel spiritual, dramatic, and a little unhinged in the best way.

Jujubee being an absolute soundbite machine as usual 😭 Just crown her for her interview skills already

I swear, nobody does a red carpet interview quite like Jujubee. She can just turn it on effortlessly and give us pure gold in under 40 seconds.

The way she threw out **“My flabers were ghasted”** with a straight face had me screaming. And then immediately following it up with **“Call me a horse because I WERK, ah!”** 💀💀

She is just so naturally quick and charismatic. Even her playfully shading Ginger about not studying her lines... I can't.

We don't deserve Juju. Please put this woman on every red carpet press tour from now until the end of time.

If Dawn had trained with Aja BEFORE AS11, she’d have 6 points by now.

I just saw this clip of Dawn and Aja in the studio and I’m actually floor-ed. We all know Dawn is the "look queen" with the quirky concepts, but seeing her catch these counts and really lean into the Aja-style movement makes me realize how much of a threat she could have been from Day 1.

If she had this level of confidence and technique during those first two lip syncs, she easily would have been the frontrunner now. She has the musicality and face. She’s actually hitting the beats here instead of just "moving." She’s selling the performance, not just the outfit.

With those two wins, she’d be sitting at 6 points and essentially be the frontrunner to beat right now.
I love her aesthetic, but seeing her put in the work with a legend like Aja makes me wish we saw this version of her desde el principio.

What a joy to see Marina Summers continue to elevate her career! She will be hosting the Miss Universe Philippines Finals tomorrow, May 2.

This is such a massive win for LGBTQ+ visibility in the Philippines, especially since pageants are basically the country’s Super Bowl. After making herstory as the first drag artist to perform on that stage back in 2024, she’s now breaking barriers again as the first transgender woman to host the national finals.
