Grieving an ex-situationship

It will be two years this October and I still feel horrible. I was in a RTC (Residential Treatment Center) at the time when I matched with a guy. He was so sweet, so cute, and replied super quickly.

The thing is, I've never had a guy talk to me like that. Or anyone. Ever. I was friendless in high school and that made me feel like I was worthless of anything and that led to a decline in mental health which was why I was in an RTC. I shouldn't have scrolled on Tinder in the RTC and I regret that every single day. I knew it was wrong and I still did it.

We talked every day until he just lost interest. I feel horrible because he saw the worst version of me and he was so sweet to me and all I did was drag him into my mess. I beat myself up for it everyday because I haven't really had a good relationship with anyone since.

Warming Tips!!

There are some helpful strategies I like to use when I'm stationed at warming. Keep in mind that this is subjective and I don't have a Doctorate in Starbucks. If you work at a Starbucks without a drive-thru (cafe Starbucks) don't mind the drive thru parts!!

  1. DPM!!! - DPM is your best friend. Use it to track current orders and orders that have not yet come out of the ticket.

  2. Use DPM to plan ahead. If you see a chocolate brownie print out as a cafe order but you see berry blondie next as a drive thru order, DO BERRY BLONDIE FIRST. Cafe and mobile can wait, drive thru orders can't exactly wait and I'd knock it out of the way even if it's a couple tickets ahead.

  3. Order Importance (highest to lowest) -> Drive Thru, Cafe and Mobile Drive Thru interchangeably, Cafe, Mobile, then finally DoorDash/Uber Eats.

  4. Opening packages - I used to open packages with tongs. One day, I asked my district manager (yes, district manager) for their advice on opening packages faster, they said they pop/push out the item in the package onto the warming paper and then throw it in the oven.

  5. Grab food, place it on warming paper, heat it in the oven THEN while it's heating, grab the bags and put the ticket on there.

  6. Prop the bags open with your tongs!!! This allows proper space for you to put the warming items in the bags. This is also so you don't try to pry the bag open with your hands and the warming item. Don't be like me.
