Racism isn’t a political view, it’s dehumanization.

Political debates are about policy things like taxes, healthcare, and workers’ rights. Racism is different. It’s not about left vs. right, it’s about right vs. wrong. Treating racism as “just another opinion” minimizes the harm, violence, and inequality it causes. It’s about stripping people of their humanity and denying their dignity. We should never confuse the two.

Mean Girls (2004) is near perfect and likely the most quotable movie I’ve ever seen

Easily my favorite Lindsay Lohan performance, this is one of my most rewatched movies of all time. You can barely go a 10 minute stretch in this film without getting a line that is highly quotable. The entire cast does an amazing job and the humor never misses even 19 years later. If you haven’t seen this; I’m telling you as a 25 year old dude that you need to watch it!

Movies so infamous they destroyed the actor’s reputation

I just felt heavily inspired to write this post as the Master of Disguise was such a huge bomb that it prevent Dana Carvey from being able to find proper acting roles again. Looking back at the movie, I still don’t understand why it was greenlit as the movie turned out to be the worst comedy film ever made in its time, so I sometimes wonder how such a film got made to begin with

What’s a Show so Deep, That You’re Still Thinking about it Years Later?

I’d love to hear about shows you watched that you just couldn’t stop thinking about... due to How emotional it was How deep the overall story in it was How lovable and unforgettable the characters might of been Just a show that really gives you that sadness of a show ending because it was soo good. I’d love to hear your suggestions! For me it’s - Series of Unfort unate Events - The leftovers (can’t believe I only recent watched it) - Extracurricular (Kdrama) - Bates Motel - Lost A lot more I want to mention but these are some that I still think about.

Being a people pleaser has the complete opposite effect that you think it does

I used to be this way. Going out of my way when people didn’t ask me, in hopes of getting what I want from them, and instead I got the complete opposite. Why? Because people view people pleasers as controlling. Nobody asked you to solve their problems and it can be quite frustrating, suffocating and belittling. Fight the urge to think you are know how to solve peoples prob lems better than they do, especially if they didn’t even ask. Even if they do ask, people still usually have boundaries about that. The best you can do is ask if they want help, if the answer is no, accept that. Then do nothing and make them stand on that. See how exhausting this is to try to fix people’s problems. You’re only seeking control, and one thing I’ve noticed is people don’t like to be controlled, even when someone says th y want to be, that can be a form of covert control, so make it a rule to not go crazy trying to fix people’s problems, especially when they didn’t ask you to.

Do I care about Charlie Kirk?

Sure, I feel bad for his kids and I believe gun violence is abhorrent, but I don’t care about Charlie Kirk the person.
He was also a private citizen who half the country had probably never heard of before, so putting flags at half mast is a disgrace to those who deserve that honor.

How many of you genuinely uploaded your IDs when using an adult site?

Do you trust that your passport/driving licence will be in safe hands? Do you believe Parliament thought this through? Is the OSA really only meant to protect children?

Career Paths?

Hello there! I’m currently stuck between two career paths and would love to hear from people who work in either field. I’m really curious about forensic science because crime scenes and investigative work genuinely intrigue me, and I’d love to know what the work is actually like day to day. At the same time, I’m also strongly drawn toward interior decorating and creative design work. If anyone works in either career, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience, what the job is like the pros and cons, work environment, salary expectations, or anything else you think is important to know before choosing a path

A book/playwright about a boy (I think, or a dad) who dies. A ghost guide of sorts allows the boy to revisit days of his life to rewatch them. First, he chooses to visit his past birthday. He is disappointed that he was more focused on the gifts than the people. Next, he visits an ordinary day and is disappointed that his family doesn’t give him the attention he believes he should receive for someone about to die.

This scene was not the whole story, but the moment that I vividly remember, of sorts.
Read around year 2000. Any help will be met with tremendous appreciation
