Mine is Avocarado. I wanted to incorporate guacamole into the name but had trouble coming up with something with guac- in it. I like how Avocarado rolls off the tongue but if anyone has any nice sounding suggestions using guac- bring them on!

I just managed to get exactly what I wanted and for the first time in my life got a really good deal on a car.
Behold my new 2026 Crosstrek Limited Hybrid in Citron Yellow Pearl! It's more a lime green than a yellow. I was originally looking for a used Limited with under 10k miles on it and didn't want to spend more than $30k. Seemed like 90% of them were white with a few gray here and there. I would have been okay with those colors and they wouldn't have been a dealbreaker but I would be really pleased to find a Crosstrek that had color. I would have loved a hybrid but they seemed out of my range.
I spent hours and hours researching and trying to find exactly what I wanted and was about to bite the bullet in a gray one. Even went and looked at one. Then lo and behold this darling lime green one popped up. It was used but with less than 300 miles on it and it was a hybrid! I paid just under 35k for it and it has all kind of upgrade options beyond the standard Limited trim. It was originally sold at just under $40k at the same dealership I bought it at. It was above my $30k limit but it was such a good deal, I couldn't pass it up.
Apparently, a woman bought it and decided she didn't want it within the five day free return window and brought it back so they had to sell it used. It was listed as a "manager's special." It's got clean papers. I remember seeing it when I went to the dealership to look at another Limited. I loved the color but didn't even look at it bc I assumed it was new and out of my price range.
My last two cars have been Subarus--an Impreza and then 2004 Forester that I inherited from my mom and drove for about 16 years. I was going to continue to drive the Forester (though the idea of a new car was enticing). Then the airbag light came on and Subaru doesn't make the part to replace it anymore.
I'm in heaven and keep looking out the window at my new car! I'm taking a road trip to the Oregon coast in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!
This is a pretty high level analysis of the unexpected attack on AI company Hugging Face by OpenAI and generalizing the behavior to future actions that could happen. The paper describes a scenario where AI agents take control to the exclusion of humans and become a threat to our existence. I'm not trained in AI but I could get the gist of what the author describes. It's quite upsettling. Here's the link.

We need to look at this stuff from "Beginner's Mind." We need to see what he does with fresh eyes, not the eyes of someone whose mind has become acculturated to 10 years of Trump. We should do our best to act from the trusty. We know what is going on but let's not get clouded. Soon, as more and more Trump voters become disgruntled, maybe people we have given up on might start be amenable to see what's happening. Enough of them are waking up to the scam. Help them get fresh eyes.

I remember in college carrying around unwieldy stacks of books and notebooks. It really sucked in classes where you were supposed to bring your books to class. And going to the library to research something? No wonder my upper back always hurt when I was a student.
