Based on ya'lls insight, I got a copper disk. Birds love splashing on it!
We didn't have a ton of birds bathing, just drinking, but now they all land on the copper disk and splish splash.
This guy stopped by for a bath
There’s a few Cooper’s hawks and marsh hawks squawking from sun up to sun down in my neighborhood. This guy has been hanging out in my backyard for a few weeks. He finally got brave enough to take a dip.
Blue Jay Spa Day!
This Blue Jay decided to dip his wing tips in the bath to cool off while sun bathing this afternoon! He looks so unbelievably relaxed on top of it 😂

Cooper's Hawk on our water fountain
One of our resident Cooper's Hawks stopped by this morning for a drink. It stayed for a few minutes, drank from the fountain a few times, and flew off.
Fledgling scrub jay enjoying the garden
I spent the past two years focusing on making my garden a habitat for pollinators and now my small, suburban backyard is teeming with bugs and birds.
Over the last few weeks we’ve seen brand new scrub jays, hummingbirds, black phoebes, house finches, and house sparrows. It’s such a joy to watch them figure out their new world.
These two baby Blue Tits having a water fight!
A reminder of the importance of having fresh water out for the birbs!
Nearly 8 minutes of birds drinking, bathing and playing in an old dog bowl in my garden this afternoon. Please put water out for the wildlife if you are able.
A Chiffchaff enjoying our Bird Bath
Love having these little birds visiting our garden.
Weird “crowsplat” pose ( video)
Watch his eyes. He is blinking. Otherwise he is completely still. It’s hot here in North Texas, and the crows will stay completely still with their mouths open. Never seen this “splat” frozen spread out pose before.
They’re fascinating.
