I love how he keeps raising that one wing like he’s getting water under it (but definitely isn’t given the depth of the bird bath). And the look on his face is like, “ahhhh, this is so nice.” Such a cutie.
Probably one of the prettiest orioles I've ever seen, and it decided to stop in for a bath.
Most of the others I see in my backyard trees have much more muted colors.
Another unique visitor to the stream section of my pond.
So many juvenile and mature Blue Tits and at least one Great Tit!
We have these cute little birds outside of my work (this is my video I took by the way) and today they did something I’ve never seen before. They started rolling around in the dust and creating little indents in the gravel by spreading their wings out. Are they trying to create nests? Or are they giving themselves a bath. I’ve seen birds do this behavior near water but never near dust. Do they bathe in dust sort of like chinchillas do? I’m really curious!
I caught this crow kerfuffle at the bath this morning. I swear I heard one of them say I need to get a bigger tub.
