A Cool Guide to New Jersey's Hot Dog Styles

Happy National Hot Dog Month!

Over the past two years I worked up the NJ Hot Dog Index to catalog the different style of hot dogs available in the great state of New Jersey, along with representative examples of each.

There's 14 styles in the table including a number which are native to the area (Rippers; Texas Weiners; Hot Onions; Italian Hot Dogs; Easton Dogs) plus more.

Each example is laid out in the style of a periodic table with technical information about each dog (toppings, brand, etc.)

Wea creek

Did something happen to the wea creek? I fished it last month and only caught a few fish and last year I fished it I blanked. This is the same creek that I've caught almost 4lb Smallmouth back in 2018. I didn't know if there was a fish kill or something. I honestly didn't see a lot of fish when I went out last month

My only interaction with Kyle

I wish this was a better picture. I had an opportunity to get a better but I didn't take it cause I didn't want to be a bother. Now I regret it but I got to meet him and Samantha at the Shady Rays grand opening in Noblesville the days before the Brickyard last year. Even with the quick interaction he was extremely nice and just down to earth. I talked to Samantha too and she is a sweetheart. After that I went inside Shady Rays to look at sunglasses and I was looking at some for my sister and next thing I know I have someones hands on my shoulders. I turn around and it's Samantha. She ended up helping me pick out some sunglasses for my sister and then Kyle walked up next to her. I turn to Kyle and look at and say "I don't know how you keep up with her." He looked at me with a smile and said "I've never been able to." We shared a good laugh.
