What is your favorite cozy anime?

I love watching Studio Ghibli and am starting to watch a bit more anime. Is there any cozy shows that you suggest?

What is the best program for weight loss and glute/ core strength?

Hi all! I am trying, I would love some opinions from people actually in the different team/programs because I find the options slightly overwhelming.

Recently found out that I have quite a weak core and glutes. And it was recommended that I lose about 40 to 50 pounds by a medical professional.

Any recommendations on different teams to help me accomplish this? I would truly appreciate any insight!

(I also plan on combining ladder with diet change and cardio, so not all of it is hinging on the app, but curious if anyone has found that one of the programs would tick all of those boxes)

Thanks in advance!

My Mediterranean diet sourdough bread makers, what’s your flour of choice?

I love bread. I eat it less now, but boy do I love it. I’m getting some sourdough starter and would love some flour recommendations if you have it!

Powder foundation girls- please help

I absolutely love the look that powder foundations give at first. Airbrushed and gorgeous. But about hour five, it starts to separate and cling to dry patches I didn’t even know that I had. I have combo skin that can be dehydrated, but typically with my skin prep it’s not an issue.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Makeup:
- neutrogena radiant concealer (eyes only)
- LYS bronzer
- Makeup Forever Powder Foundation (applied with the Sephora 50 brush)
- Rare beauty highlight
- maybelline mascara

Skincare:
- wet skin
- glazing milk
- naturium barrier serum
- Weleda moisturizer
- Well People Day gleamer spf
- Tiny bit of aquaphor on the places that I can get dry in

The night before I did a chemical exfoliant and used a diaper rash cream to lock in the moisture.

27 [f4m] Midwest girl hoping to make some connections.

Hi!

I tried to make a post a little bit ago and my Reddit chat decided to bug out, so I thought it best to delete and repost again later. 😊

Here we go-

I don't think their is a suave way to make an ad for yourself, and I have completely given up on trying, so I'm going to word vomit and hope that I can manage some sort of elegance.

I'm Elle, I am from Indiana and am currently searching for connections and fun. Meeting new people hasn't always come naturally to me and I thought this could be a fun low pressure way to do it.

In a lot of ways, I'm still not 100% sure what I'm looking for. I'm not against any form of connection, but I do know that I like to take my time to really get to know people, so if slower bonds aren't for you, I completely understand!
The things I do know is that I don't want children (duh), ! want partnership and wonderful friendships, to travel, and to live a life where I get to have fun, help others, and partake in the things I enjoy.

I am a girls girl and love making like minded friends. (Long distance is no issue.) but all type of connections are welcome.

I really adore people who are as passionate about hobbies and people as I am. Any joint interests are a bonus! I racked my brain to put as many as I could think of below.

Things I enjoy: Baking/ cooking, flowers, different artistic endeavors (currently working on improving watercolors and figure drawing), farmers markets, museums, reading, walks in pretty neighborhoods where I can try and peak in their windows to judge interior design choices, currently getting more into fitness and flexibility work, fashion history, podcasts, shopping, all girly things (makeup, skincare, human sacrifices), live sporting events, Disney World (I'm a Disney adult. Sorry), musicals, trying new food, travel (just did Tokyo and Seoul. Hoping to do The UK next), just about any sitcom (The office, Brooklyn 99, Parks and Rec, Friends, and superstore are some of my favorites), animals of all kinds (one day I want to have 4 chickens that I can name after the golden girls)

Things I tend not to enjoy: The ocean (I don't like sand or being hot. I do love lakes though), too spicy foods (I'm a coward of the highest regard), canoeing (I am famously bad at it, but I do like sitting in the middle with the snacks), and in general anybody rude or hateful.

This was a bit of a mouthful, so I genuinely thank you if you made it to the end. I truly hope you find what you're looking for <3

In your opinion, who is the best up and coming classical composer?

I am trying to broaden my knowledge on classical music and I would love to find some newer artists.

I’m not too picky, but I would love to listen to some of your top picks!

Has anyone with blonde hair had any luck with the at home laser hair removal devices?

I have been told before that at times people with lighter hair have found that the machines don’t work as well on them. I would love to hear your experiences!

Best tips for getting into pin trading

Hello!

I’m going to gencon for the first time this year so I apologize if this is common knowledge.

I love pin trading. Trading in general really. I even considered learning all there is to know about Pokémon just for the fun of trading the cards.

I really would like to partake in pin trading, but I’ve never done it at an event like this before. Is there anything I should know?

Mostly I just wanted to know if there were types of pins that people enjoyed and if they came from specific retailers.

The only time I’ve pin traded was at Disney and all of the pins are purchased on property, so I believe this may be a bit different.

Is there anything other fun trading culture?

Thanks in advance!

27[F4A] #Online - Just a girl hoping to get to know people and chat

Hi!

I am in a new phase of life and hoping to make some new friends. I love to talk and making new connections, but that is shockingly hard as an adult. Who knew.

\- reading (fiction and memoirs are my go to)
\- cooking/baking
\- working out
\- WDW (I’m a Disney adult- sorry)
\- investing (this is a newer interest. Slowly learning the basics.)
\-podcasts (smoshmouth, the basement yard, the broski report, best friends, and the bald and the beautiful are my favorite)
\- sewing/ costuming/ historical costuming
\- Broadway ( i’m a baby Broadway fan, who is currently working on expanding their education)
\- beauty (makeup, hair, nails, body care… I love it all)
\- personal growth
\- my favorite shows: Ted Lasso, The Office, Superstore
\- my politics are very much on the left
\- I’m quite basic but I fully own and enjoy it

If I’m not what you’re looking for I hope you find someone who is. Good luck searching!

What are your favorite YouTube videos for gaining mobility?

Hi! I have atrociously tight hips, hamstrings, and spine. I really want to add some daily stretches in to my routine but I struggle doing it self directed.

I would love any recommendations you have for videos that have helped you on your journey.

Thanks in advance!

Pale cool toned series: Bali Body 1 hour

(Photo 1- halfway through application, photo 2- right after rinse off, photo 3- this morning)

I have decided I’m over being 50 different shades in the summer time. So, I’m testing out different self tanners to see which one will allow me to even out my skin without making me look orange, patchy, or too tan.

Bali body express- 7.7/10 (so far)

Application method- rubber glove and body brush

Prep- dry brushing, salicylic acid and moisturizer the night before, exfoliating net followed by moisturizer on rougher areas morning of (knees and feet), tan in the afternoon

What I liked: not overly messy or sticky. Was quick to apply. I left it on for about an hour and 30 minutes. End result was natural and not too orange. No streaks or patchiness so far.

What I disliked: dried down super fast so you have to work quickly. Next time I’m going to try leaving it for 3 hours.

I don’t think this would be for everyone. At least not doing it for only one hour. It was my goal not to be too tan, and I definitely got that. Just a slight tint to the skin. I think it looks beautiful IRL, but next time I will leave it on for longer to try and get a shave or two darker!

(Note: my knees look a little patchy in the last picture, but it’s just the lighting!)

Any tips on managing ketosis Polaris while self tanning?

I have KP/ strawberry legs that I typically manage by dry brushing 1x a week and a salicylic acid spray 2x a week.

I want to start tanning but am worried that my current routine would result in a patchy and ugly tan.

Any tips?

What resources were the most valuable to you in the beginning?

I find the concept and practice of investing to be both essential and fascinating and would really like to understand it better but a majority of the time when I go to watch stuff it tends to be more clickbait or bragging/ talking about the lifestyle rather than the facts, strategies, and fundamentals.

I’m quite curious, back when you knew next to nothing- what gave you your biggest breakthroughs?

Would love YouTube videos, podcasts, books, or blogs.

Thanks in advance!
