Moved in to an apartment with this safe. Got the tubular pick tools. Both 7.5 and 7.8mm fit in, and both seem to create a very similar impression.
Still the lock won't open. I probed it (assuming that's the right verb) for a good 4-5 minutes.
What am I missing? Should I keep trying?

Bought this apartment and moved on today. Asked the seller about the safe and he said they never opened it...
The keypad doesn't make any sound or light. Could it be that the battery died?

For some reason I was collecting those long before they were thoroughly researched. I thought they are very handy.

A good friend's father left her these watches. She will not part with the Rolex that was his daily driver, but has no emotional attachment to the rest.
She was offered $23k for the lot (including Rolexes) so I assume they are genuine.
I feel $23k is low balling but I know very little except looking around on ebay.

This sub might've made me broken, I can't stop trying to identify which verity this is
I retained a lawyer for $5,000. The retainer agreement did not list hourly wage. A month later the lawyer said he needs to charge me another $5,000. I asked (in email) why, and he said that this is like installments and the initial charge was $10,000. I was under a lot of stress so paid it.
After the lawyer was unresponsive I retained another lawyer and asked the first one for an itemized bill. He charged $1,050 per hour - above and beyond any other lawyer I asked - and thus exhausted the retainer. The new lawyer was responsive and did a wonderful job and charged me $7,000 total.
Is there any point in filing a grievence against the first lawyer? would that get me anything?

Was my grandfather's, I don't know anything about where and when it was purchased.
It still keeps time, but not well... looses about 10 minutes per day.

Found Texas Instruments "View Screen" on the street. It is a device that connects to a hand held calculator and project it's screen for a class. I Can't locate my TI84 so can't play around with it, but thought that some collectors might have a field day with it.
Is these a community for obscure and retired technology? I'd love to give those to someone who'd find value in it. I also have a bunch of old technology I'm too sentimental to throw away (think palm pilot and Erricsson P900 cellphone) and would love to share

Got a very good spoof of a Paperless invite from someone I know. It came from their address and not Paperless so I was suspicious. The URL itself is very generic and doesn't seem to include and encoded data:
bortro dot vu, and the page is policy.html
I went to the URL from a secure browser and there's only a button saying "click to confirm" or "press and hold to verify"
I didn't see it asking for any details whatsoever.
It is obviously a scam coming from a hacked account. What is the end game?
