Another Table for Strangers schedule is opening this August ✨

A curated small-group dining experience where strangers meet, share a table, and create genuine conversations in a relaxed public setting 😊

🗓 August 8, 2027 • 7PM
📍 Location to be announced on August 3, 2027

Age Brackets:
20–26
27–35
36–43

Please note:
If you signed up before, you will need to sign up again for this new schedule 😊

We also kindly ask everyone to only sign up if you are genuinely sure and committed to attending. Last minute cancellations and no-shows affect the entire table experience and prevent others from getting the opportunity to join.

And if we continue seeing high cancellation rates from the 20–26 age bracket, we may temporarily stop opening slots for that group in future sessions.

Not everyone gets a seat.
Each table is intentional ✨

Another successful night of strangers becoming a little less strange ✨🍷

Tonight reminded me again why Table for Strangers exists.

A few hours ago, most of the people sitting at those tables had never met before. Different lives. Different routines. Different stories. Some arrived nervous, some quiet, some unsure if they should even go through with it.

But slowly, the awkward silences turned into laughter. Conversations became deeper. Phones stayed away longer. And after dinner? Some groups didn’t even want to go home yet 😅 They ended up going out for drinks together and continued the conversations at a bar 🍻✨

What’s beautiful is that nobody came tonight trying to impress anyone. People simply showed up as themselves. Tired from work, healing from life, figuring things out, wanting connection, or just needing a break from routine. Somehow, that honesty made the night feel real.

I think a lot of adults quietly miss this part of life.

Meeting people naturally.

Sharing stories without pressure.

Laughing with people you didn’t know 3 hours ago.

And honestly, some of the best memories start from random decisions like saying yes to dinner with strangers.

Thank you again to everyone who showed up tonight despite the anxiety, hesitation, overthinking, and fear of awkwardness 💛

You made strangers feel welcomed tonight.

And that matters more than you think ✨

Beginner Trader Review: Catching a Clean Gold Downtrend (Paper Trading)

I’m still a beginner trader and currently doing paper trading only and have been learning for like a month (I tried crypto before 2017 but all I knew was buy and sell lol), this year I decided to really focus on learning . I’m focusing mainly on GOLD using the 1H, 15M, and 5M timeframes. Today was honestly one of the first days where everything started to make more sense instead of just randomly entering trades.

The higher timeframe was already bearish the entire day. On the 1H chart, GOLD kept forming lower highs and lower lows. Instead of trying to buy every dip, I focused on following the direction of the trend. That alone already changed my mindset a lot.

The main level I was watching was around 4,000 psychological support and the 4,030 resistance/retest zone. Price kept rejecting resistance and failing to create higher highs. After the CHOCH happened and structure broke downward, I waited for retests before entering shorts.

One big lesson I learned today:
A breakdown alone is not always the best entry.
The cleaner entries came from:

  1. Break of structure
  2. Retest
  3. Rejection candle
  4. Continuation

I also noticed something important emotionally:
Earlier, I used to feel like I was “missing trades” whenever price moved without me. Today I realized patience matters more than forcing entries. Some trades looked tempting but had weak structure or slow momentum.

Another thing I learned is how powerful multi timeframe analysis is:
- 1H = overall trend
- 15M = structure direction
- 5M = execution entry

Today’s result in paper trading:
Started around: $4.6k demo balance
Ended around: $5.3k demo balance

I know demo profits are not real profits yet, and I still have a LOT to learn about risk management, consistency, psychology, and discipline. But today gave me confidence that reading market structure is starting to click.

Current concepts I’m studying:
- CHOCH
- BOS
- Support & Resistance
- Retests
- Liquidity grabs
- Trend continuation
- Patience during consolidation

Would appreciate feedback from more experienced traders.

What would you improve from this approach as a beginner?

Beginner Trader Here: Finally Had My First Disciplined Gold Trade on Demo

Been learning trading recently and honestly today felt like a small win for me.

Still a complete beginner and still using paper trading/demo account while trying to understand price action, support/resistance, patience, and risk management.

Today I caught a clean Gold short after rejection from resistance and managed to stick to my plan instead of panic closing early. Ended the session green and decided to stop trading for the day instead of forcing more entries.

One thing I’m slowly realizing:
Trading is less about predicting perfectly and more about discipline and emotional control.

Still far from consistent.
Still learning every day.
Still making mistakes.
But I think I’m finally starting to understand why patience matters so much in trading.

Trying to focus more on:

  • waiting for confirmation
  • not revenge trading
  • respecting SL
  • taking realistic TP
  • following structure instead of emotions

Would appreciate any advice from experienced traders here. What was the biggest lesson you learned as a beginner trader?

(Still paper trading for now before touching real money.)

Paano kayo bumukod sa pamilya without feeling guilty as the panganay?

Problem/Goal: Paano kayo bumukod sa pamilya without feeling guilty as the panganay?

Context: Ako yung panganay sa family and honestly sobrang torn ako ngayon.

May dalawa akong kapatid na parehong working. Yung isa may asawa na, while my mom is a single parent. Yung bills like kuryente, tubig, at internet hinahati naman naming tatlo.

Pero at the same time, grabe yung guilt ko kasi alam kong malaki yung magiging epekto kapag umalis ako.

So parang kahit anong direction, may malaking sacrifice talaga na kailangang gawin.

Hangout and Billiard within Iloilo?

Hey Iloilo people, anyone down for some billiards tonight? Just looking for chill games, good vibes, and maybe meet new people around the city. Beginner man or maayo na gid magduwa, okay lang 😄

Usually more into casual games kaysa super competitive. If interested, comment or DM where you usually play or what time works for you. 🎱

Why does Facebook feel so toxic nowadays even if you try to fix your algorithm?

Why does Facebook feel so toxic nowadays bisan ginapaninguhaan mo na i-fix imo algorithm?

You follow positive pages, mute negativity, avoid comment wars, tapos somehow your feed still ends up full of rage bait, fake news, clout chasing, and people fighting over literally everything.

Before, Facebook felt more personal. Subong daw everyone is performing, arguing, or trying to go viral. Even simple opinions become full-blown battles in the comments section.

Honestly, kapoy na mag protect sang peace of mind online. Sometimes it feels like no matter how curated your feed is, toxicity still finds a way because it already became part of the culture sang social media itself.

Miss ko ang old Facebook nga memes, random life updates, kag genuine interactions lang.

...IG tambay na lang gid...

Need Help Buying Concert Tickets in Kaohsiung for BigBang for My Wife 🙏

So help me out here. I’m just a guy looking for information on how to buy a ticket for my wife in Kaohsiung. Sorry for being such a newbie. 😅 I’ve actually listened to this group a lot because my wife plays their songs all the time lol, so go figure.

My question is… how do I even purchase tickets? And what exactly is the purpose of the 6th V.I.P Membership? I’m trying to understand how all this works.

I only need two tickets — one for me and one for my wife. We’re planning to travel to Kaohsiung anyway, so I thought why not add the concert too. The thing is, she has no idea I’m planning to buy tickets because I want it to be a surprise. The concert date also happens to fall on our anniversary, so I really want to make this special for her.

Any help or advice would honestly be appreciated. 🙏

Tonight reminded us why Table for Strangers exists ✨

Tonight, we had 4 different groups across Iloilo meeting at different restaurants at the exact same time 🍷

Different personalities. Different stories. Different strangers.

And after dinner, some groups even met up together afterward for coffee and continued the conversations ☕✨

Not everything went perfectly tonight though, and that’s part of the reality of organizing something like this.

For ages 21–26, we originally had 9 RSVP confirmations, but many cancelled last minute. In the end, only 2 arrived. Thankfully, we were able to merge them into one of the 27–35 groups since they were 25 and 26 anyway, so the age gap wasn’t too far.

For the 27–35 groups, one table was almost complete, while the other also experienced a few last-minute cancellations.

For ages 36–44, 5 people RSVP’d, but only 3 attended the actual dinner.

Honestly, last-minute cancellations can be difficult because there are people on the waitlist who genuinely wanted to experience tonight but couldn’t anymore because seats were already reserved.

But despite all that… tonight still turned out beautiful 😊

People laughed. Shared stories. Opened up. Stayed longer than expected. Some even continued hanging out after dinner.

And that’s probably the best part about this whole thing.

A bunch of strangers showed up anyway.

Thank you to everyone who came tonight and took the risk of saying hello to people they’ve never met before 💛

And to those who couldn’t make it this time, we genuinely hope you can join us again next dinner 😁

PS: WASNT ABLE TO TAKE PIC OF THE WHOLE GROUP CAUSE OF SO MUCH LAUGHTER

Tonight’s the Night • Table for Strangers Iloilo 🍷✨

Tonight, strangers across Iloilo are about to sit at the same table!

Some are excited. Some are nervous. Some almost backed out because anxiety hit before tonight. And honestly, some already did.

A few never responded too, and those seats could’ve gone to other strangers who genuinely wanted to join the experience. But despite that, a lot of people are still showing up tonight anyway 😊

Which honestly says a lot.

In a world where most people stay in their comfort zones, these strangers decided to take the risk of showing up, starting conversations, and sharing a table with people they’ve never met before.

No swiping. No followers. No networking agenda. Just real people, real conversations, and maybe a few unexpected friendships by the end of the night.

To everyone joining tonight:

Relax. Breathe. Enjoy the experience. The awkwardness usually disappears after the first few minutes anyway 🍷✨

See you tonight, Iloilo.

And don’t forget to say hello, stranger 😉

How do people find rentals in Cebu without physically checking?

Not from Cebu, so going around the city to check listings personally is honestly impossible for me right now.

I’ve been trying to look for rentals around:
• Escario
• Banawa
• Guadalupe
• Mabolo
• Kasambagan
• Banilad

But I’m struggling because most listings seem reposted, incomplete, outdated, or handled by multiple agents. It also feels like the PH doesn’t really have a Zillow-type platform where listings are centralized and easier to verify.

I’m looking within the ₱10k to ₱25k range for a couple with small pets (small dog & cat).

Direct owners preferred if possible. Also, I do not speak Bisaya, so English or Tagalog would really help 🙏

For people who relocated to Cebu before, how did you find legitimate rentals without physically checking every place? Any trusted websites, Facebook groups, or tips would really help.

Thank you!

Any tips for finding rentals in Cebu? 😅

Not sure if this is allowed here, but genuinely curious and also trying my luck.

I recently realized the PH doesn’t really have something similar to Zillow where listings are centralized, organized, updated, and easy to verify. Most of the rentals I find are reposted multiple times, missing details, already taken, or posted by different agents 😭

I’m currently trying to look around:
• Escario
• Banawa
• Guadalupe
• Mabolo
• Kasambagan
• Banilad

Budget is around ₱10k to ₱25k for a couple with small pets (small dog & cat).

Direct owners preferred since I’m trying to avoid middlemen and duplicated listings.

Also, I do not speak Bisaya, so English or Tagalog would really help 🙏

Would appreciate any tips on where locals usually find legitimate rentals in Cebu. Facebook groups? Websites? Communities? Thanks!

Convert Metrobank SCC Rewards to M Free?

Currently have a Metrobank Rewards Plus CC under SCC with a ₱30k hold amount. I’m planning to increase my hold amount soon, but what I really want is to have my card converted to an M Free card instead of Rewards.

Has anyone here successfully converted their SCC card to M Free?

Questions lang: • Did Metrobank allow direct conversion from Rewards SCC to M Free?

• Or need muna ipa convert from secured to regular card before pwede mag change to M Free?

• If I increase my hold amount, will they also increase my CL automatically?

• How was the process and gaano katagal?

Trying to avoid annual fees long term kaya mas interested ako sa M Free. Would appreciate any insights from people who experienced this already 🙏
