Is Daemon twirling a claw during the wedding of Rhaenyra and Leanor?
Just before he is accused of killing his wife, if you want to go watch the scene.
(Spoilers extended) I think HotD will do Tessarion justice.
It was my favourite dance and I'm looking forward to it more than the God's Eye one. I think the VFX team will do wonderfully, plot aside. Being a big hit on HBO can't guarantee good writing but I feel it will guarantee a nice dance.
Any stand-up comedy bit about veganism?
Not looking for an exvegan in particular. Just asking about about a comedien that has a joke about veganism. What's your favourite?
The plot's kinda pissing me off but that duck and roll from Baela and Jace while evading was a joy to watch.
Kept it vague in the title to not put spoilers there. Anyway, both their evading maneuvers were awesome. Replayed them both to see again.
I loved Armand sitting like a puppet whose string were cut after he said he loved Lestat
Lestat was done with saying what Armand was doing so Assad just goes still like a sim.
Pazı Tava, chard fritter (?)
Chard, corn flour and salt is the real recipe however I'm vegan and prefer to use chickpea flour whenever I can, to add protein. So this one is chard, chickpea flour and a little red pepper.
Fasulye kurusu, dried green beans
Green beans are sliced and dried from when they are in season (last summer). Then when you want to use them you boil them in water for about 10 minutes and drain. Dice and saute an onion and add the drained beans to saute together and done.
Normally tomato paste is also added but I find tomato paste to be a more winter taste, and to be fair this dish is supposed to be enjoyed in winter, I just forgot about it all winter and discovered it in the back of the cupboard. I had dried about 5 kilos of beans during the summer and thought I had finished them during winter.
Do we have any local edible seaweed?
There is these two I guess but they aren't really seaweed.
Piyaz
I used cranberry beans this time but you can use different ones too.
The real recipe is like this, boil the beans. Chop the vegetables, onion, bell pepper, tomato. As a dressing, mix equal parts tahini and lemon juice and mix everything.
However one person in my household is a bit sensitive to raw onions so I cook them down in vinegar first. I also overcooked the beans to be easier on their stomach too.
Look at the size of my granola CHUNK!
I made the granola plain because it's summer and I like adding fresh fruit now instead of dried.
The ingredients are grape molasses, sunflower and coconut oil and oats. Mix and bake.
Is eukaryota and prokaryota an incorrect classification? To my understanding prokaryota is separated but are they still not prokaryota as in they are without a nucleus.
Thought about asking this because I saw someone made a post about correcting the mistakes that students learn in school. Help me out?
Does salted tomatoes taste like blood to anyone?
Especially truss tomatoes.
I have been skinny all my life but people think it is because of the veganism
If they are fat I do sometimes say being vegan helped. It didn't help, I just don't have a big appetite, will I go to hell for this lie?
I said before her tragedies announce themselves beforehand. A child is told to be sickly long before it dies and yet it is still sad. So what scenes made you cry? With or without a warning.
While the question doesn't have spoilers, the comments surely will so please read at your own risk. Although my enjoyment of her works were never diminished by knowing the end.
What's the worst non-Balkan flag? Let's gang up.
This is probably not even complete but anyway. What's the worst? Be your meanest, they won't see us.
Edit: My vote is all the union jacks btw. Not even politically motivated it's just ugly.
What's the worst Balkan flag? I don't think it is the tricolour ones since they are uninspired yes, but not the worst yk.
Albania is badass. Turkey and North Macedonia definitely could go for best flags in the world because they are solid designs that are memorable. But we talk about these all the time.
What is the worst? Let's pick one and make fun of them forever.
Have you ever noticed another author being clearly influenced by Le Guin?
I saw it in an unrelated fanfiction once. Probably because there was no editor to tell them it is a bit too similar Le Guin's work. But have you ever noticed it in published works? Did you think it was a nice nod to her did you consider it stealing/bordering stealing?
Her general ideas especially in science fiction is everywhere. And of course the power of names are big in fantasy after she brought it over but they are now genre staples, like elves in fantasy after Tolkein (I believe they used to be "elfs" before him too).
Have you seen more spesific examples? Something that didn't become a genre staple but was used anyway.
