Do you think Fakatou will ultimately play End or Interior?

He's listed as an interior DL but there's been a lot of chatter that he wants to play End at the college level and that played a role in his recruitment process. Most of the film I've found of him in high school shows him playing on the End as well.

He's an interesting prospect for sure and physically he has the size to play either position, some might argue his height and current weight would favor him at End but if he's coming in at ~275 as a high schooler there's no reason to think he couldn't easily be 300+ and have the size to be comfortably playing inside.

We also already have two other excellent End prospects in his same class. DJ Jacobs the number one overall recruit and End in the 2027 class (per 24/7 Sports) and Wyatt Smith a top 15 End and the son of retired NFL All-Pro End Justin Smith. Neither of whom currently have the size you'd want to see to slide to the interior. Both are listed 40lbs lighter than Fakatou is.

It's understandable why Fakatou would want to play End. It's the flashier position and the pay is better in the NFL. However it could be argued that although his potential ceiling may be higher at End his floor is probably higher at DT. In other words it's likely he could be a solid End but it's even more likely he'd be a monster in the interior.

Thoughts? Obviously it's too early to know anything for sure and we'll find out sooner or later anyway but it's fun to speculate. Personally my armchair coach opinion mostly based on the fact we have those two other End prospects would be to slide him in to the 3 technique and maybe get creative with stunts. What do you all think though?

Need bitlocker key after new windows update on 10 year old PC. Am I fucked?

Had to do the latest windows update. Then on start I just get black screen. Nothing. So I go to bios and disable secure boot. Now I need a bitlocker key I’m pretty sure I don’t have.

Am I fucked?

Saw someone say that user accounts/authentication is complex and high risk but there are lots of off the shelf solutions for that from third parties that make sense for most of our needs. Which got me thinking. Which microservices should we outsource and which should we keep in-house? Priorities?

Not looking for anybody to shill their SaaS more looking for a big picture overview of those kinds of offerings generally speaking as well as discussion on which of them we should prioritize for outsourcing vs which things we can and should probably do ourselves in-house.

Not talking about full blown corporate enterprise level here either where we have a true business need to do it all ourselves or the resources to just pay to outsource everything. More like we just want to get our MVPs off the ground and have limited budgets so in what areas can we get good bang for our buck and where we should save money by doing it ourselves.

Seems like there's consensus that user authentication and accounts and security related stuff generally is a good candidate to prioritize for outsourcing seeing as those solutions already widely exist and the consequences are severe if something goes wrong?

Anything else you'd put in the same category? What about things we definitely shouldn't pay for and should do ourselves? Just looking to get some discussion going about what wheels we shouldn't reinvent for ourselves.

Tl;Dr: If you were going to use off the shelf 3rd party solutions for a new project what areas would you focus on for that and why. As well as the alternate what things would you definitely build yourself?

Feeling like you're caught in the middle of impossible standards because you're the "lucky" one so you have no excuses for anything ever so you're pushed hard and expected to succeed by everyone but also the more you do succeed just further highlights the gap between you and your sibling?

Also that when you do fail or need help you have zero excuses for anything and spiral because you're causing problems for others. Just wondering if others can relate.

Many of my target sources seem to have abandoned RSS for email newsletters. Is there a good way to convert them back to RSS?

In working on a project that I’ve been collecting good source RSS feeds for. The problem I’m running into is many seem to have abandoned their RSS feeds and instead are pushing email newsletters.

Just wondering if anybody else has dealt with a similar situation and if they found any good solutions. I love the versatility and ease of integration of the RSS feeds and am struggling to figure out a way to kind of convert their email newsletters into an RSS format if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

On this day in 1989 the Chinese Communist Party sent in troops and tanks to crush the Tiananmen Square student protests. The true death toll is unknown but estimates range from hundreds to thousands of protestors killed. Mentions of the event are still censored in the media and internet in China
