Could my long-term swallowing problems make anesthesia or intubation dangerous for hernia surgery?

I’m 18 and I have a hernia that may require surgery. I’m worried about whether my long-term swallowing/throat problems could make general anesthesia or intubation dangerous. I’ve had swallowing/throat problems for about 10 years.
It feels like something is stuck or clogged on the right side of my throat, around the Adam’s apple area. Food and air seem to go down the left side easier than the right. Sometimes water on the right side makes me cough or choke.
I frequently clear my throat and swallow saliva.
Sometimes my voice sounds wet/gurgly, and the right side can feel raspy. ENT exams and a recent endoscopy were reportedly normal. I’m scheduled for a barium/swallow study. Could these symptoms make anesthesia or being intubated for hernia surgery dangerous? Should I tell the surgeon and anesthesiologist about this? Im just in severe debilitating pain because of this hernia and im scared I will die during surgery.

Scared of blood clot

I can’t get a good picture but my left hand goes red a lot now, and i have symptoms of tos and Ive had them for about 8 years now, it seems now like it’s getting worse my left hand feels pumped up like I just did a work out and it goes numb when I put it in the air Im kinda freaking out. Where should I be referred to when I go to my primary care doctor, I know I I’ll need to see a pt, but will a referral to a neurologist be a good place to start?

Nearsighted in left eye and farsighted in right eye, scared of how I will look in glasses, who else has this.

I feel like my vision is worsening but scared of how I will look like in glasses because my right eye is the farsighted eye and my right eye is noticeably bigger and my left eye is nearsighted and smaller than my left eye, does anyone else have this problem. It’s been 2 years since going to the eye doctor.

Why is my lower lip pushing up into my top lip?

In the process of getting a MARPE and from my ortho waiting on referral for sleep study, but why is my lower lip pushing into my top lip, as you can see in the video I try holding my lower lip muscle down for a second for it won’t go into my top lip so much. My chin feels constantly strained 24/7 will fixing my bite and MARPE help my lower lip stay more down it’s confusing explaining this really not fond of getting jaw surgery but ortho says it’s a possibility.

Why is this happening to my face.

Why do I have to constantly keep the circled part of my face tight, my face becomes droopy and sad looking if relax, I’ve never had this problem until I turned 16 now im 18, the fourth photo is what my face looks like when I tighten the muscles, what can I do to solve this forever. I can’t relax my face without looking sad. Is my face becoming just more recessed as I get older?

u/Previous-Concern39 — 2 months ago

Can someone explain this?

Can someone explain why, when I fully relax my face in the second photo my chin recesses and I look recessed from the front. But in the first photo, when I'm using the muscles to lower my lower lip and pull it down with the muscles of my face, I have good chin protrusion. But when I relax my face, my real face in the second photo, everything recesses back and my lower lip wants to go far up into my top lip and my chin turns red. I just don’t know why this is being caused and I want to explain to my orthodontist, Ive already been told by my ortho that she recommends me to get a sleep study for my trouble breathing and neck pain, so I’m getting one this month

Endoscopy in 13 hours having second thoughts.

Im having second thoughts about my endoscopy, didn’t fully explain my symptoms when I scheduled it with gi doctor, Ive had dysphagia for 10 years, since I was 8 years old and I feel like there is something stuck in my neck on the right side and my left side of my neck feels clear. I constantly have to swallow my saliva down even though it doesn’t go down i just have pulling saliva down my neck. Im not sure if I have gerd but every time I eat it feels like there is food stuck and liquid stuck in my neck all day even if I fast and lots of burping. So im very scared of getting aspiration pneumonia during endoscopy because I feel like my saliva and whatever is Im my neck could kill me kinda freaking out.

Scared of aspirating during endoscopy?

I have an endoscopy this Thursday, and I'm scared of aspirating. I've had dysphagia for about 10 years now, and I've never done anything about it. And I feel like there's something stuck in my throat causing my dysphagia. I think there might be food stuck in my neck, and I'm very scared of aspirating during my endoscopy this Thursday and dying. Is there any other test I can do other than an endoscopy to figure out why my right side of my neck feels clogged and stuck 24/7 and I have saliva pulling on the right side of my neck aswell causing me to swallow but saliva for the past 10 years i feel super stuck right now dont even know what to do? Every once in a while when I burp, it feels like there's like some piece lodged inside my neck. Im just so scared of the fact of aspirating because of the feeling that Food can never fully come down. Should i just risk it?

Scared of losing teeth and getting even more jaw pain.

If I keep my teeth slightly separated, my jaw hurts like crazy. If I keep my teeth just not touching at all, my jaw hurts like crazy. Why is this? I have to keep my teeth together all the time, and I'm not sure if keeping my teeth together is grinding them down or not. Because I know I clench in my sleep, but I'm not sure if I'm putting too much force keeping my teeth together during the day. Is this a sign of a bad jaw joint? Help please?
