Not for today, but for sobering later this summer

I don’t even know if this is a hot take; I don’t know what is considered the best on the album, but I have not heard anyone say it’s their favorite on the album other than me, so I’m calling it one.

Since the Record Store next to Square Roots, I've done all my record shopping either on Discogs or elsewhere, and I haven't gone into the one in the Courthouse yet. To make sure I won't waste an afternoon, what is their selection like there? Do they have 45's?

So I am making an OC for my storyline on Linz during the 30’s and 40’s, and I have a few name ideas, but first I think I must describe the personality

Born; June 14th, 1923, Linz, Österreich
Hair color; Chesnut Brown, slightly wavy
Eye color; Blue-Grey
Build; thin
Personality; reserved, slow to warm up to people, a bit shy, afraid of adults, shouting, sudden loud noises, etc. has a few very good friends, other than that, nothing. Has tried to talk to girls in the past but has always failed miserably

So, here are the name ideas I’ve come up with so far, I’ve used records to try to make then as accurate as possible to the time;

So Josef was born in 1888 in Pyzdry, Congress Poland
He went to Bremen, Germany in 1908 to immigrate to the United States
Under his immigration record from Germany, it said he was a “Butcher, Journeyman”
Obviously, I know what a butcher is, I wasn’t born yesterday, but the journeyman part? Is that a fancy way for the Germans to classify immigrants? Or is that a different job? I’m confused.

I will be completely honest; I engage in self pleasure way to often, I’m not sure if it’s healthy, and I’ve been trying to stop (or at the very least limit) myself from doing such actions. Sure I don’t have or watch any actual…videos, shall I say, but, and I know this is very weird and very morally wrong, I recorded my crush while they were in a bathing suit and I did…things to that video. I feel horrible, and I don’t know what to do. I have cried a lot once this situation, I don’t even know why such a terrible idea crossed my mind in the first place. And now, I’ve done something so stupid, that not only do I deserve to go to jail but I’m scared I might actually go there. Normally, I would ask for people not to be harsh, but at this point, I think I deserve it for everything which I’ve done.

I think he is a great artist, That’s All is an absolute banger of an album (especially in mono) and sings from other albums like “Things” or “It Had to be You” are still some of my favorite songs from their respective genres and years. The issue, in my opinion, at least, is that after “In a Broadway Bag”, his music took a major dip in quality. Sure, there were a couple of decent singles and songs from those later albums, but you can’t tell me that Born Walden Cassotto is better than This is Darin, but, what do you guys think of him?

Now, me and this girl have been friends for quite a while, and have had feelings for her for even longer. Me, being both a bit pathetic and extremely awkward when I get nervous (along with being a bit insecure about how thin I am) I haven’t asked her out yet or anything. And she said she likes another boy who for these purposes well call Sean, and we both don’t have the best opinions of each other for multiple reasons

1. He (for some reason I still don’t know) thought I was gay and liked him, so he started not to trust me
2. After the fact, he started trying to get my best friend to stop talking to me
3. He spread a nasty rumor about me being Anti-Semitic which got me in trouble with the Dean of my school
4. He somehow manages to best me at everything. He was awarded for being the best example of a disciple of Christ at graduation (which is just hilarious to me).
   And yet, though I’ve hinted at the fact he’s not the best person, she still likes him for some reason. I know that I shouldn’t be jealous, but it just isn’t fair that he makes everyone think I’m either Gay or a Fascist, and then gets to have my crush, I don’t understand that.

So, for my OC I did a lot of research when coming up with a name which I liked, and I decided on the name Georges Demetz. I was happy about it, but then I was doing some research, and I discovered that from the same time period and area, there was a military general. I want to keep Georeges, I like Georges, I would like to keep it, but should I change the surname to another option I considered like Poigné or Vignaud?

So I’m about to start my freshman year and I’ve never been in a band before. Sure, I’ve done marching band and concert band and stuff like that, but never an actual band. I’ve been wanting to start a band ever since I was first introduced to the Beatles when I was in 5th grade. Over the past year and a half I have been practicing on my own and to my favorite records, and I think I’ve got a decent list of songs I can oaky quite well. But the issue is that, I don’t really know anyone who plays guitar or bass, and I don’t know anyone bands, let alone anyone who needs a bad drummer. And I can’t just go up to random people and ask them if they want to play She Loves You with me, I’d have a heart attack from anxiety. And there aren’t really any music stores around my area, the record store near my house just closed, so o don’t know what to do. Heck, I don’t even know anyone who pants an instrument and even likes the Beatles or Buddy Holly or Chuck Berry or anyone like that. So I don’t know how to start it. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you and sorry for wasting your time.

So my great grandfather served with the Americans during the war (not sure where or for what regiment, but am pretty sure was through the army or air corps), and didn’t like to talk about much. But I was interested so I asked my grandma about it and she said that he was in Panama for at least some time, and at some point he talked about having to jump out of a plane. And that he was and “in air mechanic” and had to fix problems in aircraft while they were flying, which intrigued me, but I’m skeptical if that’s a real thing, and if it was wouldn’t that be a major risk for the men doing it? Anywho, when I went and looked for his service records, and it said he only served from April to October 1942, and I told my grandma about it, and she said that it wasn’t true because he came home in 1945, and then she told me a story about how when he came home, his teeth were rotting from lack of hygiene whenever he was, so he had to do a lot of dental operations. He also seems to have had PTSD, so can anyone help me verify if these stories are even plausible, and how can I find these records? (BTW, his name was John William Herr Jr. he was born in 1919 and died in 1987).
