Here is what my bill of sale looks like roughly.

$60,000 CAD (includes taxes, $2800 gap insurance, $11,000 intrest paid at end of term)

So far from what I understand:

In case of a theft insurance will pay around $46,000 (no depreciation with OPCF 43). No further interest because car got stolen.

So do i really need GAP insurance?

Hi, Im picking up my new Toyota Camry soon. This is my first new car.

I want to do my own service as im very particular about how things are done. Doing my own service helps me keep my mind calm that the job was done right. Plus I save some money.

If I get new oil filter and oil from Toyota and do my own service, Is that ok ? Will it void warranty ?

I do keep very detailed record of date, mileage, oil filter, oil brand, etc. On a printed spreadsheet with hand writing.

Hi, i'm picking up my car (2026 Camry) next week. I signed up for ECP or Extended Care plan ($3264.0) and GAP insurance ($2800.0). I realized that I dont need it.

I already signed the paper with $1000 to lock down car. Gonna do a $8000 down when pick up. Can I cancel ECP and GAP still ?

Lady told me that I can add some other protection plan if I change my mind. So i'm assuming I can also cancel something?

Please let me know if its too late. (Or if i should not take delivery).

Im really having a hard time deciding if I should buy a new car or not.

Im looking at Mazda CX-30 ~$37,000 CAD with taxes. If I put $5000 down. I think i will end up paying closer to $39,500 at end of 48 months with 3% APR.

My current car is 2015 Chevy Cruze 1.4L (currently 190,000km). I spent around $11,000 on it total with repairs, taxes and everything (i know im stupid, got ripped off by a mechanic). Now, its having Transmission issues. I can get used Transmission for around $330cad with 45,000km on it. I have learned alot since i bought cruze. I can change transmission myself (I know a mechanic to will lend me hoist for 8hours for $100).

Cruze also has also other issues like suspension, ac compressor. I can do suspension myself too.

I just don't know if I should repair my current car or just get a new one.

1. Easily Serviceable Transmission filter (Drop Pan)

2. Easily drop Engine Oil Pan

3. Torque Converter equipped automatic transmission

4. Naturally Aspirated

5. AWD

Anything else should I consider ?

Im looking to get a Mazda CX-5 or CX-30 compact SUV. The best APR i can find is 3.99% with $7000 down.

I live near Markham, Ontario, Canada. Is there a way to get price down. I have heard people get discount on MSRP to compensate for APR.
